Only My Weapons Level UP

Chapter 47: Bracers

Chapter 47: Bracers

With grace and precision that seemed almost otherworldly, Juan expertly avoided and parried the onslaught of attacks, their movements flowing seamlessly in a dance of survival.

As the first monster lunged forward, its sword slashing through the air, Juan reacted with lightning-fast reflexes. With a deft sidestep, he elegantly evaded the attack, his body twisting and contorting in perfect synchrony. The monster's sword met nothing but empty air, its momentum carrying it past its intended target.

In one fluid motion, Juan t countered, seamlessly transitioning from evasion to offense. With a well-timed swing of their weapon, he deflected a second monster's oncoming strike, redirecting its momentum and destabilizing its balance. The clash of metal against metal filled the air, a testament to his impeccable timing and precision.

"He has good eyes... that must be his trait," Terry thought while Juan was smirking while fighting. "He enjoys fighting too much... or maybe he became like that after being unable to awaken his trait for a while."

Terry wondered if such a thing was common... awakened late traits be that useful. Rebecca was more or less like that. Still, the others that came weren't like that at all. Terry read the other documents and confirmed that... it was just a coincidence.

"Not all flowers bloom at the same time." This phrase emphasizes that everyone has their own unique journey and timeline for success and achievement. It recognizes that some individuals may take longer to discover and develop their talents, skills, or passions. Still, when they do, they can flourish and achieve greatness. It serves as a reminder to have patience, embrace personal growth at your own pace, and not compare oneself to others who may have found success earlier in their lives.

In any case, Terry finished off the beast after he had watched enough. Juan didn't seem like he liked that. Still, he didn't complain... he wanted to show that he could handle the monsters of his own, and that was something since even guild masters had to work together before.

Before long, Juan got sick of seeing Terry getting the last hits and decided to leave. Terry shrugged when that happened... he probably won't stay in the guild for long and will be swayed by the sweet talk of some other guild masters telling him that he could achieve more with them. Terry imagined that such a thing would happen sooner or later.

In any case, two days later, Terry went to check the prototypes of the forearm guards that the blacksmiths had made. They all had different shapes and sizes, and they sure looked impressive.

"This one... is the best," Terry declared.

The Venomstrike Arm Bracer was a weaponized forearm guard designed for maximum offensive potential. Crafted from a blend of reinforced leather and rare metal, it featured an array of venomous barbs and serrated blades. These deadly protrusions are strategically positioned to deliver devastating cuts and punctures to adversaries.

The arm bracer was also equipped with hidden reservoirs, allowing potent toxins or debilitating substances to be injected. Wielded by a skilled combatant, the Venomstrike Arm Bracer becomes a lethal weapon capable of inflicting both physical and chemical damage. Terry didn't have poison, but some of his underlings could use it eventually if they wanted to.

Terry equipped it and confirmed that it was a bit heavy, but it would get better once it leveled up; he also could speed up that process by using other weapons alongside it. When using a single leveled-up knife, Terry felt it come a lot lighter than before.

"Good work, this is a lot better than I had expected," Terry said. "You guys can rest for today; you should rest your minds properly before the next work. You guys can continue with this design, but now you will expand the whole structure to cover my arms. You should focus on using the same materials and the same proportions. Don't worry if it becomes a bit heavier than expected."

"Yes, sir," Clark said and then nodded.

Terry told them to rest, but they left the workshop already talking about the next prototype. Terry could understand how a workaholic person works, so he didn't mind that much. Without wasting time, he went to level up the bracers in the dungeon.

"Wow, this looks nasty... I can understand now why Juan admires you so much," Rebecca said and then laughed a little. "You two have the same interests."

"Mind your own business," Terry said. "Anyway, what is today's report?"

"Right... the monsters are coming less and less than before," Rebecca said while showing a severe expression. "As you can see, the portal is growing fast... I don't think that we have more than one week before the dungeon break."

"Hmm, I suppose..." Terry rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "I guess that won't be ready in time. Regardless, I will have some more weapons for everyone tomorrow. Alert them that we will enter the dungeon again in three days and let them rest accordingly."

Rebecca nodded. The dungeons and portals were changing right when things were starting to look up to humans. Still, it couldn't be helped... things rarely go the way they are supposed to, after all.
