Only I Am a Necromancer

Chapter 486 - Best Ending (4)

Chapter 486: Best Ending (4)

Minsok said, “Call me anytime if you have any problems. I am very proud to be able to save my family and other people by fighting with you, Necromancer.”

“You’re welcome. I could always beat them thanks to your help, sir.”

Sungwoo briefly wondered if it was good that he had resurrected Minsok and had him fight as his ally.

‘Well, it might be the right thing to do, but that’s my best option back then.’

After greeting Minsok, he stepped inside the party hall.

“Necromancer! Thank you very much!”

“Today is really fun! Thanks!”

Those at the party, who already drunk a lot, welcomed Sungwoo a lot, but they didn’t approach him, for his gravitas was too big for them to come up to him thoughtlessly.

“Gosh, I’m serious!” This time Li Wei shouted. “It’s me who has saved you!”

She was sitting at the same table with Isabella and Heyon, engaged in a heated argument over something.

For some reason, Heyon was sick and tired of their argument, with herself sandwiched between the two nasty women.

“Gosh, how ungrateful you are! I’m just dumbfounded,” Li Wei said.

Having heard that, Isabella gulped down a whole glass of beer and sneered at her.

“What did you say? How come you little bitch has saved me?”

When she picked up a piece of chicken and put it into her mouth, her throat burned red.

Then she took out her Dragon Breath slightly to roast it, then swallowed instantly.

“…”

Li Wei watched that scene, stopped talking for a minute, then began to fume again.

“What the heck are you talking about? Why are you so conceited? You don’t remember it because you passed out then.”

“Hey, don’t start picking a fight!”

“What did you say? I was a bit tired at that moment. How could a dragon like me pass out? You are dumb!”

“Don’t fight!”

“Ugh? Oh, Necromancer? Hey! Can you explain to her?”

But Sungwoo avoided them and headed to another place.

Junghoon and Minhum were chatting at a large table in the center of the party hall.

Seated at the same table were American guests such as Chairman Love, Hearst, and Jonathan, and human beasts such as the White Wolf and the Black Lion.

“…”

They gestured toward Sungwoo with eye contact, but Sungwoo gently nodded, then passed by them.

He didn’t want to chat with them in a happy mood yet.

“Oh, Mom! I’m going to enjoy the party, too!”

Han-ho was arguing with his mother Eunhee in one corner of the hall.

“Gosh, why is it so hard for me to come to the kitchen and help me a bit? You’ve got as many as eight hands, but you don’t want to help me?”

As if he was frustrated, Hanho waved six of his arms back and forth.

“Mom, I am a hero, too! Do you think it makes sense for a hero to do chores?”

“Phew! Yeah, I appreciate that, so don’t make a big fuss over it!”

However, there was someone who was watching them with interest.

“Man, even brother Hanho gets a good scolding from his mother!”

It was Youngin who followed Hanho very well.

Discovering him, Hanho’s face blushed.

“Oops! Mom, I was kidding. I can do it as your son, Mom!”

When Sungwoo passed them, Jisu was sitting at a small table in a corner.

Mir was lying under her feet, chewing a bone.

“Jisu!”

“Oh, you are here!”

Grr- Grr-

Mir ran to Sungwoo, who picked him up and sat across from her.

“Where is your sister?”

“Oh, she went back to Jeju Island right away.”

It looked like she was more concerned with her family than enjoying the party.

“Then did she go to bring her family here?”

Jisu smiled bitterly, shaking her head.

“I don’t think so. My family members are so conservative and stubborn that they hate leaving their hometown and going to another place. I don’t think I’d be very happy to see them here.”

She poured some water into a cup and gave it to him.

“Well, it’s good for me!”

“For what?”

“Well, I met you on campus first and followed you, right? I made a good decision. I didn’t know things would develop so big like this.”

Sungwoo smiled at her, nodding.

“You bet. Nobody expected it!”

It all started when he picked up the cards that appeared out of nowhere and killed the goblins that came up suddenly. Nobody imagined even that would happen, so how could anybody have thought of this kind of ending at the end of the day?

“And I’m glad that I could help you without being a burden to you.”

She was constantly concerned about it from the beginning. Proving her worth and usefulness to him was tough, but she made a huge success, after all.

“But it’s not over yet. I think there are still lots of things you can help me with in the future.”

She silently nodded. She will be a stronger ally than anyone else for him in the future.

“Sungwoo! Sis Jisu! You are here!”

At that moment Hanho was approaching them, humming to himself.

“Look at this!”

He was holding a bunch of things with six hands. Each of them was a 500cc beer mug.

“Alright! Let’s have a drink among ourselves!”

Hanho made ice on the surface of beer using cold energy, one of Hyunmu’s powers.

“Don’t waste your mana.”

After Sungwoo learned hos mana, or all one’s abilities and items were created, he couldn’t use the skills freely. All of that was designed to reconstruct the resources on Earth through the nanorobot.

“Oh, man! Sungwoo, we all know you are the real hero of this fight, but don’t try to teach me a lesson!”

“What did you say?”

Instead of answering, Hanho quickly distributed the beer mug.

“Please, cheers!”

Sungwoo and Jisu reluctantly raised their mug.

“Come on, cheers!”

“…”

“…”

Clang!

Anyway, they enjoyed the party, too.

The party that lasted into the small wee hours was finally over.

The next day special drinks that helped them relieve their hangover, made by the cooks, were distributed to the frontline commanders.

And at 3 pm that afternoon they held an “emergency commander meeting.”

“What the heck is going on?”

They thought they could take a break at least for a few days, but because of the sudden emergency meeting, the commanders hurriedly dragged their tired bodies to the conference room.

“I have no idea. Oops, my head is starting to pound!”

Sungwoo was already seated after arriving early, and Inho was preparing the briefing.

“The meeting will start pretty soon, so please take a seat!”

Soon they were seated, and the meeting began.

“We’ve got three agendas today, recovery of Earth plan, defense of Earth plan, and…”

Then Inho looked at Sungwoo before resuming.

“The last one is to train ourselves against the alien attack.”

They opened their eyes wide at his words.

“What did you say?”

“Alien attack?”

They were embarrassed.

“Who are we attacking?”

Wasn’t the fight all over? Was there any more fight?

They cast their glances at Sungwoo.

So he said, “It has been confirmed that the wormhole has collapsed, disconnecting us from the alien world.”

Even though Sungwoo didn’t annihilate the enemy, he removed the passage to their world, so the war was virtually over.

“But we didn’t know until recently that there was a passage leading to the alien world. That means there might be something else going on in the place that we don’t know.”

Everyone nodded at that.

“So we need a plan to defend Earth against their attack!”

They understood his point.

“But the thing is just defending is not enough. As long as there are enemies, the crisis will continue. I’m still vague about this idea, but we need to study the system and come up with a way to fight it somehow.”

It was unthinkable for them to confront Zero Earth right now, but they could not afford to sit idle.

“If the door opens again…”

Everyone looked at Sungwoo. At that moment, his eyes seemed to glow dark green.

“We will have to slay all our enemies first in order not to go extinct…”

He was determined to get rid of anything standing in his way except for the corpses.

That was the essential role of the Necromancer.
