One Piece: Gambling to The Top

Chapter 44 - 44

After defeating Crocodile, Robin came personally to the fight location, surrounded by the rain.

Seeing the innocent expression on the sitting wet Josh, she was about to smile but couldn't help but frown at the bleeding body of Crocodile next to him.

Flinching slightly, she could tell that Josh didn't finish off Crocodile, who was still breathing.

Robin sighed.

Knowing that this guy is acting based on his heart, she could understand why he isn't finishing off a snake-like Crocodile.

It's a job for Ane-San to do.

"You did this…" she came off her camel and walked forward. Josh looked at her, before her heels, which didn't sink in the wet sand, and Josh only raised his eyebrows in amusement.

"You tell me," Josh said mockingly, indicating that he is fine.

Robin tilted her head and walked to Crocodile, noticing that there is a big dagger in his chest.

After making a sigh, Robin crossed her arms. "Little brother, you should know that finishing the job is the charm of the Baroque Works."

Josh said. "Did you forget I was an agent as well?"

Well, he finished his mission, didn't he.

"I didn't." Robin gave him a gentle teasing smile as she tilted her head. "You don't want to see this, turn your head."

"I won't object. I'm hungry and I don't want to lose my appetite."

Josh shook his head and stood up, turning and giving his back to her. Robin looked at his back and gave a small smile before turning to Crocodile, lifeless expression replacing that smile. She crossed her arms.

Few arms appeared from thin air around the shoulder of the Crocodile, twisting and breaking his neck. Life won't be possible again for crocodiles.

The hands turned into few petals and Robin clapped her hands.

She lifted her hand and touched the raindrops. "Although the rain is beautiful. Because we used green powder, people from other kingdoms are losing their share of water today. How do you feel about that? People are hungry because you took down Crocodile."

"I feel hungry. How do you feel?" Josh turned, ignoring the dead body on the ground, and looking at the sky, not noticing that Robin's clothes became wet and stuck to her.

"Well. I've lived long enough in the underworld. I've felt too long that I'm no longer be able to feel."

Smiling at her, Josh said. "Can you feel it if it were long enough?"

Josh then turned and stared at her. Suddenly, he paused, looking at the raindrops dancing around her tanned delicate skin.

Josh seemed to focus more on her huge chest area, as the clothes stuck there.

He could see her nipples.

And Robin could notice that.

"Well, little brothers shouldn't speak like that." Robin thought about the double meaning of his words. If the D is long enough.

Frowning at the meaning of his words, Robin crossed her arms, and a hand appeared on the back of Josh, pinching him on the back of his neck.

"Ouch." Josh smiled at her. "I don't know what you thought. I was meaning if the duration is long enough. What else could it be to make you frown?"

Staring at him for few seconds, Robin put her hand next to her mouth and giggled slightly, not believing that he got her. She knew that since he had that tricky smile. But she couldn't let him win.

"Fufufu… not only your height went there..."

Robin said, sweeping the raindrops as she let her hand run across her skin, before stopping on her cleavage.

"Hope you don't mind. I need to adjust this" She lifted her short jacket, letting the water slip down, while Josh looking at her adjusting her huge chest in her bras. For a second, her nipple appeared.

'So huge!'

Josh was amazed when he saw that. Mikita had a big chest, but Robin's was like double of it.

After finishing adjusting her clothes, Robin turned and smiled at him with a teasing face.

"Ahem…" Noticing that a bulge appearing on his pants, Josh turned and gave her his back again.

"Don't be shy of this Ane San," Robin said, addressing herself as a big sister felt surprisingly good for her, who lived in the underworld for a long time and had said she doesn't feel many things.

"I'm not shy. You are too shameless for me." Defending himself and trying to change the topic, Josh scratched the back of his hair and said with a low voice. "Let's move to Crocodile's place."

The rain stopped, meaning the heat would come back soon.

By this moment, the people of Alabasta would be enjoying this rain, since it means that they would have more water, and thus, their corps would grow.

"Why?"

"We did our job. We need to take our share." Josh said.

"Never thought you are greedy for money."

Josh only turned his face to her and said. "If no one takes his money, many others would come and fight for death in order to get it, which can include innocents in the way. Let me handle this if you can't."

After having hearing many politicians speeches about higher causes, Josh knew what to say. Robin, however, thought of someone else.

'He isn't greedy?' Robin took a step back, looking at Josh with wide-opened eyes.

Josh is taking money for himself. But he wasn't doing this to enjoy it.

Moreover, he is doing this to save the people. Josh, although he looks young, was looking at the future despite his young age to such a degree.

She suppressed the movement of her face. 'This guy… he… I never saw someone like him.'

Robin had been curious about him, but now, he got her interest.

"Sure, let's go. You have to take responsibility for what you have done." She said, testing him. Robin tilted her head and smirked at him, making Josh raise an eyebrow.

"Why do I have a feeling you mean another form of responsibility," Josh said.

Robin raised her eyebrow.

"I'm just joking. Do whatever you like." Josh shrugged his shoulders as he started walking, not giving her a chance to explain.

He then jumped and landed on the camel. Robin smirked while looking at his back, sighing. 'I'm not joking, though."

Robin sighed and covered Crocodile's body in long sheets that she brought with her.

The two of them moved back to the headquarter of the Baroque Works. Josh went to the office of Crocodile, while Robin excused herself to stay behind.

Crocodile has a unique way to get rid of the bodies of the people he kills, which was by feeding them into a giant 20 meters long crocodile monster.

Robin, this time, fed Crocodile body to them.

The giant sea beasts didn't show mercy to the person whom they used to be his pets, and they kept him safe in their stomach.

"Rest in peace, Mr.0."

Resting her head on the glass, which was the only thing between her and the sea beast, Robin resisted her urge to sigh.

Because she had been following Crocodile, who was a warlord, the World Government wasn't chasing her.

Now that Crocodile is dead, it's a matter of time until the World Government finds her and start chasing her again.

Robin had been like this from the day she was a kid.

Everyone she was under protection was using her or her ability before trying to get rid of her. Or until she betrays them when the World Government chase her out of all of the people.

The only peacetime she had was with Crocodile, who, of course, had been planning to kill her once she finds him the ancient weapon.

But at least Josh didn't try to kill her once he had been done with Crocodile.

"Robin." Josh's figure flashed in the room that belonged to Crocodile previously.

Robin knows the money, and Josh was looking at her eyes directly.

Robin held her heart in surprise as Josh was so fast that he made her heart skip a beat. S

suppressing the urge to tell him to knock on the door before entering, she drew a smile on her face and turned, elegantly asking why is he here.

"Can you kick the guests out of the casino? I need to take that Golden Crocodile's statue on the top." Josh said. "Please."

"Wait, are you treating me as a subordinate?" Robin said, raising her eyebrows.

If Josh says yes, then she is officially employed, she thought

"I said please, didn't I?"

Before Robin could say anything, Josh said, "my group would arrive soon. Thanks. I knew I could trust you?"

Before Robin could even say anything, Josh vanished and left the room, leaving her jaw opened.

'Why does he outmatch me when it comes to talking. He would make a great politician.'

"My poor life." Sighing, she massaged her temple, while smiling.
