Chapter 16
C16 – Like the Wind
The silence shattered as the voice reverberated, causing all the students in Grade 12 Class 8 to swivel around, their expressions transformed into ones of astonishment. All gazes converged on the source of the voice!
“Jiang Hao?”
“Is that even possible!? Jiang Hao couldn’t have really forgotten! He had a bet with Liu Xuan!”
“Seriously, it’s been only twenty minutes, did Jiang Hao just give up that easily?”
Liu Xuan also turned to look. He eyed Jiang Hao, who had raised his hand with a composed demeanor, and a sense of panic suddenly gripped him.
Yet, Liu Xuan recalled Jiang Hao’s previous English grades and immediately felt a wave of relief. He shot a glance at Jiang Hao.
“He’s just aiming for attention from everyone!”
Even Zhou Hong was taken aback at this point. However, when she laid eyes on Jiang Hao, who had typically scored twenty or thirty points in every exam, her expression darkened.
But when she noticed the uproar in the classroom, she didn’t waste any time in taking action.
“Silence!”
With that command, she descended from the podium and headed toward Jiang Hao!
Standing next to Jiang Hao, her brow furrowed, and she issued a caution.
“Jiang Hao, if you’re unwilling to answer the questions, that’s fine, but can you avoid disturbing others?”
“If you’re not going to attempt the questions, then please leave and don’t disrupt others!”
Zhou Hong’s sarcastic tone unsettled Jiang Hao considerably.
Casting a glance at Zhou Hong, Jiang Hao pivoted and departed amidst the shocked onlookers.
Observing Jiang Hao’s actual departure, Zhou Hong pointed angrily in the direction he had left.
“You?”
“Is this how you behave?”
“Fine! Let me have a look at the exercises you’ve managed to complete!”
Having uttered that, Zhou Hong, with frustration evident, seized the English test from Jiang Hao’s desk.
“Look at this sloppy handwriting!”
The moment she picked it up, she was quick to criticize Jiang Hao’s penmanship.
She squinted, about to reprimand him once more.
“Look, this…”
Yet, when she took a closer look, she was baffled. Surprisingly, Jiang Hao had answered the question accurately.
However, she swiftly found a counterpoint.
“Fine, let’s assume you guessed right!”
As she proceeded through the paper, she was astounded!
“How’s this possible? He’s answered every single question correctly!”
In that moment, Zhou Hong meticulously reviewed Jiang Hao’s test paper. After verifying it time and again, she stood rooted to the spot, utterly dumbfounded.
These questions came from a certain province’s previous exams.
Aside from obtaining 30 points, he’d also acquired 120 points.
Several of Jiang Hao’s test answers were even more flawless than her own!
She could have given him a perfect score of 120 points!
At this moment, Zhou Hong found herself deeply puzzled.
Why did Jiang Hao only score 20-30 points before?
As for considering the possibility of cheating, Zhou Hong glanced at the classmates around Jiang Hao and shook her head.
That was out of the question.
Could it be that Jiang Hao had been hiding his true abilities all along?
If that were the case, with this level of skill, he might even compete for the highest score in the college entrance exam!
In that scenario…
Zhou Hong vigorously suppressed her excitement and gazed toward the direction Jiang Hao had left. A resolute decision formed in her heart.
In this moment, Zhou Hong unintentionally murmured aloud, her astonishment particularly pronounced in the hushed classroom.
Suddenly, every student in the classroom was privy to Zhou Hong’s inadvertent muttering.
Instantaneously, a wave of shock rippled through the room.
“What? Did Teacher Zhou just say that Jiang Hao got all the answers right?”
“How is that possible!”
“No way! Could it be Jiang Hao has been hiding his abilities all this time?”
In this instant, Liu Xuan was thrown into a state of complete panic!
“This can’t be true!? It’s impossible. He’s just a weak student!”
As he recalled the wager he had made with Jiang Hao, his expression turned incredibly grim.
As they witnessed Liu Xuan’s frantic state, sympathy brimmed in the eyes of everyone directed at him.
