Ocean Master

Chapter 411 Locating The Lair.

411  Locating The Lair.

The next day, a large group of Great White Sharks departed from this region of the Green Mist Sea in 2 different directions.

Sebastian could not convince Shackard, the clan head of the Triton Clan so they had no choice but to go their separate ways.

Sebastian could not blame her though. This was almost the same situation when he told Old Mak about the incoming disaster of the Sea King Inheritance, the only difference was that Old Mak knew him, while he was just meeting Shackard.

No matter how strong he was, it was still a fact that Shackard was older, probably wiser than him, and was also a powerful predator to booth.

It was not arrogance; it was simply being rational. When the clan head of the Triton Clan weighed her chances, she decided that taking their plan was the best way for her to safeguard her clan.

She wanted to help the Firelight Shark Clan, she badly wanted them to ignore Sebastian and follow her which was clearly the safer choice but Tungsten already made up his mind. Clearly, Sebastian was more credible to him.

This was the reason why today, the Firelight and Triton Shark Clans separated as they adopted different plans that they believed would enable them to tide through the rough waves of the incoming disaster.

As the distance between both shark clans grew, Sebastian felt that it was a pity. From what Eliana described to him about the current turbulence rippling through the Green Mist Sea, he knew that their chances of survival were very small.

He didn't have a choice though, Eliana warned him not to reveal his relationship between the both of them nor the Clown Empire.

This was why he couldn't tell them that he had such a powerful backer.

Queen Heareth felt the separation the most. Being the eldest shark in the Firelight Shark Clan, she was the closest to the equally old clan head of the Triton Clan, this separation reminded her of the trauma when she lost her husband.

This and some other reasons were why she wouldn't be following Sebastian in his plan to hunt and capture a Mana Lord.

The clan suddenly losing all their figureheads would be detrimental. They absolutely could not be left alone, and out of the 3 sharks, Queen Heareth was the best candidate to stay behind and instill courage on the Great White Sharks.

This was why Tungsten and Strong were Sebastian's only companions for his plan to invade the lair of the nearest Mana Lords.

With the only 2 Great White Shark clans of this region leaving, the area felt even more vacant. Though the Great White Sharks were the only ones that were attacked, most of the other beast clans were spooked by the attack.

This was the reason why before the outcome of the battle could be even decided, most of them already relocated to avoid the aftermath.

Even if they didn't have a specific destination in mind where they could settle down, leaving was still better than waiting for death.

With the trio of sharks and the 10 shuttles escorting the Great White Sharks of the Firelight Clan, it took them a little more than an hour before they regrouped with Eliana's entourage who were waiting for them since.

Once both sides met, the Great White Sharks were handed over to be under Eliana's custody. While Queen Heareth met the sharks to explain their current circumstances, Sebastian and his 2 companions met with Eliana.

Eliana didn't say much to them, she emphasized the coordinates of the lair to them again, gave them some basic advice before sending them away.

"Good luck!" She spoke as they left.

Commander Strong and Tungsten were relieved, they believed Sebastian when he explained to them, but wise men said seeing was believing.

It was when they finally met Eliana that they felt relieved. With the belief that their clan members were in safe hands, they could finally focus on helping their bro who was in need.

Once the warships under Eliana's command left with the Great White Sharks, Strong and Tungsten turned to face Sebastian.

"Direction?"

"This way". The trio of sharks finally swam away.

Eliana described where the secret lair of the Mana Lords was hidden in detail to Sebastian, even using her illusion powers to simulate images in his mind to give him a greater impression of the region.

This was the reason why he swam with so much confidence, every single detail was still in his mind as he rapidly navigated towards that direction.

The lair of the Mana Lords was well hidden between a region that was dominated by clusters of seamounts towering high.

Unlike regular seamounts, these irregular seamounts were mostly barren and were erected in a region of water where lava flowed. This was because they were erected in the path of 3 ocean volcanos.

These 3 ocean volcanoes were separated with a distance of kilometers, but the current terrain was abnormal in a way that allowed the molten lava to flow through the region where the cluster of seamounts was erected.

After their encounters in the Ocean Volcano region, Sebastian, Strong, and Tungsten already developed a trauma against lava but they still came here.

On arriving, Sebastian led the others to navigate through 3 of these seamounts before stopping and going below the 4th seamount.

By going below, Sebastian and his 2 companions became closer and more exposed to the extremely hot lava. But this was not the only thing that they were exposed to, they saw something else underneath here.

A forest was actually growing below the seamount.

Underneath the seamount, and in the middle of the flowing lava was a strange forest populated by strange red trees that gave Sebastian spooky vibes.

The sensation of seeing these trees up close was chilling, but Sebastian coped well since he already seen them through Eliana's illusions.

With him taking the lead, Strong and Tungsten followed as they navigated through the forest of trees amid the flowing lava. With their magic shields active, they were able to shrug off the damage from the lava.

They swam deeper and deeper into the world of flowing lava until they felt that they were no longer in Oceania, but were now in a world filled with lava.

A few minutes later, when their condition was already turning frustrating, Sebastian's eyes lit up as a blue source of light could finally be detected shining brightly from the depths of the flowing lava.

"Swim towards the light!"

[You have activated skill: Mega Dash!]

Sebastian informed his 2 companions as he immediately upped his speed by activating his mega dash skill which made him swim faster.

Both Strong and Tungsten didn't understand, but they obeyed and moved faster to catch up with him. As they swam towards the shining blue light, they were surprised to discover that the light started dimming.

It felt weird, but all 3 sharks felt that on noticing them, the light reacted like a shy girl when being approached by a boy who knew his stuff.

"Swim faster!" Sebastian yelled.

Without thinking, Strong and Tungsten obeyed.

They swam so fast now that the lava parted before them with speed. About 2 minutes later, before the blue light could dim completely, they arrived before it and without being able to stop due to their momentum collided against it.

Bzzz!

Sebastian, Strong, and Tungsten disappeared immediately.

I'm sorry for the late release guys, I was too tired yesterday to continue.
