Number One Dungeon Supplier

Chapter 2118 Putting Plans into Actions

As the System had dictated, days after the grand military funeral in Ress, the Star Foxes had already sent messages to Jin that the King of Mong Empire had decided to go all out in fighting against the rest of the kingdoms surrounding it without any care about the destruction it caused.

And with that, Kraft did not hesitate to use the System's abilities to take in the soldiers in the meantime even though the manpower was not necessary as the System had stated. This was mainly because there was still a limit to how much the System could handle and it wished to keep its resources for the EX Rank Demons which would prove to be more useful than those normal humans.

Hence, instead of keeping them as Kraft and the Mong Empire soldiers kill the innocent, those humans had been resurrected into Ress instead. Without any obligations to the System, Jin and his military organisation had put up an excuse that they had managed to teleport them into Ress before their death.

And this was evident with the replication of their injuries and wounds which the Ress Military Healers had to contend with. (This also allows the System to spend lesser resources on them.) But more importantly, Ress had the immediate boost of manpower as well as loyalty not through the System but through the kingdom of Ress, saving them in their time of need.

Jin did not hesitate to aid them with whatever he had but it kind of spoiled the plans that the System had planned forward. Still, he could not say no to additional manpower. All he knew was that with the number of people coming into Ress reaching him by the hundreds, the massacre that Kraft was causing …was not a joke at all.

The Star Foxes had replied that Kraft had drafted almost every single body for the fights and failure to do so would result in an instant death by the King himself if needed. The desperate situation outside of Ress had made some people think that Ress was the escape haven that they should have longed for.

It was compounded by all the leaks that the Star Foxes had made to the other kingdoms indicating that the previous Mong Empire's rulers had been pulling the strings to get the other kingdoms to destroy Ress and that they had a better opinion of Ress.

The Star Foxes even played rumours the refugees would be doing all fine and dandy in Ress compared to the other kingdoms. Though they were all working hard to ensure their survival, they were still earning a decent wage and a lifestyle that could be considered better than the current human kingdoms.

Those rumours followed by leaks of pictures and playable holographic videos had made Ress a Paradise that people could seek.

Hence, the reputation of Ress increased while Mong Empire's integrity continued to plummet with Kraft's reigns. It was to the point that two weeks into the invasion, assassins had already come for Kraft which he gladly accepted and killed them all for all to display. It was without a doubt that the psychopath within Kraft was delighted to show his way of rule for everyone to see.

Whether this was just an act or it was his true nature, Jin could honestly not able to discern it properly especially when he had once more become busy with the existence of the System. Was he truly a slave to the System, a victim of Stockholm syndrome? Jin too could not give a proper answer.

All he knew was that with the System not taking over the ruling of the Ress, his burden to oversee had drastically reduced to the point he could concentrate on practicing the skills needed to defeat the Celestials in the upcoming battle.

The first was no doubt the Dungeon Portal Summoning Skill. Even though the citizens of Ress had been using his powers to collect materials and hunt monsters for their parts, Jin had not been able to clear a high level dungeon on his own.

Many had advised against this, especially after the death of No.4, and while No.6, the closest he had to a bodyguard knew how much punishment Jin could take also could not see why he would want to do a solo dungeon all by himself. At times, No.6 thought that Jin wanted to keep all the blame to himself for not being able to save No.4 but the reason was really simple.

The king wanted to test his limits and this was the only way to do so.

With the System now interfering with this particular trial because of the unexpected death of a Celestial, Jin believed he was well equipped to take on the dungeon levels himself. This was because he could use this opportunity to reconnect back to his minions that he had not communicated with for a long time and simultaneously, make them level up from dungeon fights too.

The latter was the main reason why Jin wanted to do this solo. With no one looking at him, he can summon whatever monsters and armies he had possessed before and use them against the dungeon monsters.

Not to mention, now that he had the System back, the array of monsters that were available to him through these dungeon summoning portals meant that he finally had a treasure trove of minions he could call at the beckon.

If one wants to be the Number One Dungeon Supplier, one needs to be Number One when it comes to the collection of monsters too, right? Otherwise, most dungeons would be considered boring because of the lack of variety in the monsters the customers will fight.

And while Jin believed that the Dungeon Summoning Portal skill should be carried over when he exited out of this world, he had an inkling that it was possible he might not be able to find such strong monsters in his world.

After all, he and Kraft had theorised that this world is another universe from the world he came from. If they were unable to save this world, there is a possibility he cannot return to this universe and thus, Jin was going to work hard getting as many EX Rank monsters as he could from this world to the best of his abilities.
