Chapter 60: Setting A Wolf Loose on Sheep
Chapter 60: Setting A Wolf Loose on Sheep
"System alert: Player has spent one hundred gold coins. Player can now absorb extra one thousand death souls and store them for ten days. to expand the time limit of the stored death souls, player can spend one gold coin to expand the time of ten death souls storage to reach one month."
Bloom just glanced at this without knowing what he should say or do! This system was really stingy, trying to take as much gold from him as possible. It was great he had a lot of gold coins right now, so it wasn't really an issue, but he needed to keep some to the time when he went to the village.
Travelling from one village to another was costly, around one hundred coins were needed. Plus he needed gold to buy many potions and materials to upgrade his gears. So, he needed approximately five hundred gold coins for the future.
"Spend one hundred and twenty gold coins and expand the time limit to one month," he decisively said, as this would really help him a lot in the future.
He just hoped the system would give him the choice to increase his used death souls now, but the system didn't give him this alert.
"System alert: Player has spent one hundred gold coins expanding the time of one thousand and twenty death souls storage to reach one month."
"Sigh," Bloom just sighed, as the system wasn't stingy enough to expand its greed to the used death souls currently by him. through all this, he didn't stop jumping here and there, killing more and more players, while he didn't receive hardly any damage.
In the middle of this, he took out two basic Hp potions and gulped them one after another in ten seconds. He replenished most of his lost Hp with this single move, while avoiding the skills thrown at him by using his skills in the middle of the two potions.
This made players quite frustrated, deepening the anger, hatred, and envy they all had for him. Bloom didn't care about any of this, as he kept killing them without break, reducing their numbers, gradually kiting them down.
What Bloom didn't know, and those players totally forgot out of their shock, that this battle was being broadcast live broadcasted over the forums. These players had the confidence and audacity to announce they would kill the legend of Bloom live on forums so no one would dare to question them later on.
Well, and they tried to build their own legends in the process, however everything turned upside down, and the legends they were all dreaming about creating were now turned into a lifetime shame that wouldn't be easily erased!
Especially for one person, Derick!
"Finally we got time to spar together," Bloom said with a mocking loud tone as he jumped suddenly towards Derick, "tell me, were you born this jerk? Or you learnt it on your own?" he sneered as he loudly insulted him.
Bloom didn't have ill intentions or vengeance towards him from the start, but this jerk had done everything to make Bloom really hate him. if not for Bloom to cross level ten already, he would have sought to kill Derick couple of times before leaving here.
"You idiot, thinking a single one can stand against all of us! Even your acrobatic moves won't help save your life!"
"Hahaha, you are all words buddie, go die and be tortured a little in hell," Bloom inserted both of his swords in his body, giving him two crits at this moment, venting all his anger into this kill. All players watched the terrifying two five thousand damage floating above Derick's head, before he hit the ground and died.
Bloom gladly absorbed and stored his death soul, before not waiting for others to wake up from their daze, and continued killing them.
"This isn't a player, this is a monster," suddenly one of players muttered, as he then screamed in extreme panic, "this isn't a player, this is a monster, run, run everyone, flee and save your levels!"
That player was so terrified that he even wanted to run and leave this damned place. his fear was really contagious, especially when others were also feeling shock at the current moment.
One player started to flee, and others started to follow, however Bloom wasn't generous enough to let them escape like this!
'Wait my death souls!' he inwardly shouted out loudly, while he started to run after them. three levels difference in stats meant nothing now, as most of players neglected speed, including Bloom. If not for his early adding some points to Res stat for stamina, he wouldn't have a higher speed stat.
He outrun them, easily, using his skills and running, while some managed to escape, as those martial artists were really fast, with their monstrous Res and speed stats.
"Escaped flies, but no worry, I will keep hunting others here and there," Bloom shook his head in regret, as these running players were running death souls to him.
He now had one extra thousand slots, and he intended to make them all full before going to the village. He had here around five hundred players, so twenty or thirty runners would affect his mood no doubt.
So, he returned to focus on those trying to run, killed them swiftly, especially when they lost all the will to fight. He then jumped towards the main bulk of players, who were now seriously considering running.
"Let's all run away and he couldn't kill us all!" one of the players shouted, as he started to run towards an opposite direction from where Bloom came from.
His shout made all players disperse at the same time, making Bloom really furious, as he madly chased them, yelling at their backs:
"Come back here you cowards, didn't you want to kill me? Come and show me your true worth. Come and give me your souls, Damn it!"
He kept furiously running behind them, killing around one hundred more, but around two hundred and fifty managed to run away. As he was furious, he entered the forum, as he wanted to vent his anger there.
The moment he entered there, he was surprised to find the live feedbacks of the living players still on, with endless comments from players from this point, and from other points as well.
"Oh, you are generous to share your current locations then!" he muttered, as through each feedback, he could see the current coordinates of players escaping from him.
