Chapter 339: A Fortress
Chapter 339: A Fortress
The look over Antoan's face told Bloom how much he was against this idea. Yet Bloom didn't take his opinion to the heart.
He knew that since that night everything in the real world would change Life as all humans knew before would take a sharp turn.
And he didn't know where this would end, but he was determined to establish his place in that new world with all his might.
"Where will we find players..." Antoan paused, "like you I mean."
This point was something Bloom never thought of before. Yet he already had an answer to that. He stole a short glance towards the distressed Liza before saying to his butler:
"We will renovate this mansion," he took a wide glance around, "while buying all the mansions and area around."
"What?!" Antoan didn't see this coming.
"We can afford such a thing, right?" Bloom calmly smiled before adding, "I want the entire area to be mine by tomorrow morning. Then I want you to hire a specialist... I want this entire ground around the mansion to be leveled and a grand building will be there instead."
The more he talked, the more anxious and shocked Antoan was. He wasn't the only one feeling this, as Nara also felt the same.
"What building?" Nara asked while her mind started to have wild imaginations.
"A fortress," yet Bloom's next answer made the two glare at him with widened eyes, "I need this mansion to be surrounded with wide lands covered with defenses and tech from our time to suit our needs."
The two exchanged silent glances before reaching the same conclusion.
"Did you hurt your head during the fight?" Antoan hurriedly asked.
"My CEOs are coming here soon. I can ask them to bring a doctor if you need."
Bloom looked at them without saying anything for a while. He knew they didn't grasp the gravity of the current situation yet.
He wouldn't stop at any lengths to crush those dark forces standing against them. Which meant one simple fact, this night wouldn't be an exception.
So he had to work earlier than anyone else would. "Just do as I say," he simply said in a tone that gave no room for negotiations for the two in front of him.
"But" Antoan was scared as he found out his master was dead set on doing this.
"Just do it now," Bloom knew he had limited time, "I will leave those monsters here to defend the place. Bring me every single one of our men to meet the monsters. The last thing I want is my monsters killing my people without any reason."
Antona's face twitched yet the stern look from Bloom made him leave.
"Are you alright?" Nara couldn't help but ask, "I think you should see a doctor."
"Just play with me," Bloom said in a tired tone, "what will you do now?"
"Me?" she pointed at her with doubt, "I... dunno."
"You should remain here from now on," Bloom decisively said, "it's not safe outside this place. I'm the only one who can help you now."
She gave him a deep glance before sighing. "I don't have any mansion ready for me to stay at," she said, "alright, it's a deal then. But when I find anything else I will move to it."
"Deal," Bloom extended his hand to shake hers with a confident smile over his face.
He knew once the news would spread out, the entire world would be shaken by these news. He and she would be the spotlight of everything.
After all, everything that happened now began at their mansions. Plus he showed his true power to the world, and that was something not to be taken lightly.
"I've spread the word," Antoan returned in a few minutes with Liza, "she wants to tell you something important."
"Anything," Bloom calmly said despite having a clue about what she was about to say.
"I... want to leave here," she said and that made the faces of Antoan and Nara change. "I... have my own reasons."
"Denied," yet the swift and calm answer of Bloom came to refuse her request.
"Why?" she seemed a bit aggressive, "you don't own me."
Bloom gave her a deep glance, "walk with me," he said before turning to Antoan, "move all the capsules inside the mansion first and make sure they are connected to power."
"Alright," Antoan hesitated before adding, "what about the construction people?"
"Make them come now," Bloom urgently said.
"I understand," Antoan nodded.
"No you don't," Bloom stopped before taking a deep breath, "don't let them touch the mansion for now. I want them to start demolishing the area around and start digging the foundations."
"This..." Antoan seemed quite shocked before adding, "they need time to arrange such things."
Nara was very sure of her earlier guess; Bloom had a hit in the head and he didn't know what he was asking for or talking about.
"What about they start with the mansion?" she suggested, "during which they will devise the blueprints of what you want."
"Nope," Bloom was stubborn about this matter, "they need to do what I asked them to do."
"A fortress?!!" Nara just asked to make sure she got his point right.
"I want something similar to a blueprint in my mind," Bloom wasn't speaking nonsense. He already had something ready in his mind, "I'll draw everything up to them tomorrow after exiting the game. For now let them focus of unearthing the ground deeply and you..."
He turned towards Antoan before seriously adding, "start the negotiations now. The more space we got the better."
"You are seriously considering it," Nara softly muttered.
"I need to do it," Bloom firmly said, "and I need it to be done fast."
"Won't you take a day off the game?" Liza asked in concern, "what you experienced tonight isn't easy."
"Let's take a walk," Bloom said without answering her question. He knew what he had to do, and he was the only one considering the whole disaster they were in.
"Stay here and defend the mansion," yet before walking with Liza he shouted at his monsters, "don't let any outsider come without my permission.
And in return the monsters roared.
