Chapter 33: The Boss Monster is A Mutated Human Monster

Chapter 33: The Boss Monster is A Mutated Human Monster

Bloom just watched them celebrating, without speaking a word or interfering with their party. They had already gone this far, and this was enough for them to feel proud.

However, he knew that the coming step was harder, far harder than what they just passed. The boss monster of any dungeon normally was challenging, and after this dungeon evolution, it had become more difficult to face, almost impossible.

The most optimistic thing that happened so far was the evolution of San. He could see the burning spirit already in his eyes. This had made the already missing team more formidable, plus he would now have a player that could use his summons in a timely precision, which would decide the fate of the incoming battle.

The players kept cheering for a few minutes, before Gored had already spoken to them, making them calm down. They all noticed the gloomy look over Bloom's face, and then they all realized a simple, yet missed fact.

The boss of this dungeon was still alive, and they had to beat it!

The recent memory of them facing the boss of the previous boss was still lingering in their minds. Three were killed, and they won by miracle.

Suddenly, the gloomy mood of Bloom seemed to be contagious, as everyone got silenced, lowered their heads, and said nothing at all.

"Why are you so down?" he muttered, as he noticed the sudden calmness around him, which brought him out of his own train of thoughts.

He was thinking about the next boss monster for sure, trying to expect the worse in the four phases of this boss. Regarding the previous monster, they didn't have to reach the last stage, however in this monster he feared they might repeat the whole cycle twice to three times at the least.

"Is that boss monster that difficult?" Peri asked, per habit.

"I know nothing yet about it, but I'm sure this boss's skills would gain a large boost in damage, duration, and even effect," he said, before standing from the ground, "I will go and take a look, then we can discuss everything later."

They all nodded, as they watched him disappear inside the tunnel. Bloom's mind was full of the deadliest skills he ever heard of in this game. Despite this being a level five dungeon, he wasn't trusting the game developers and their manipulations.

The main hall was only five minutes away, so he reached there fast. He approached with caution, as he knew that monster would have a large detection range.

The moment he stole a peek over that monster, he instantly got stupefied by what he saw.

'A mutated human!!! No way this dungeon difficulty would reach this crazy level!!'

He screamed in shock at first, then in frustration and anger before returning very rapidly from the opening of the tunnel. This dungeon boss was a mutated human, which some used to call the nightmarish monster!

The mutated human was the signature of hellish levels of dungeons, which were dungeons at capitals and big cities, where players had the chance to choose the difficulty of the dungeons.

Defeating this mutated dungeon was such a rare feat that even players in his past life made a long detailed list about whoever managed to break through this impossible shackle!

Luckily, he had one of those teams that made that groundbreaking achievement, however that would be years in the future, where Peri would be that renown player.

So, he had now a mutated monster inside a red level evolved dungeon. The only explanation was the mutated human monster came here as a replacement of this dungeon boss, which meant the rules of engagement with mutated human monsters apply here, not the boss monsters rule.

"I don't know if this is a blessing or a curse!" he muttered, as he recalled the shape he saw of that mutated human monster. She was one of a kind in terms of beauty, with no equal, standing alone as the most gorgeous lady he ever saw so far in his entire life.

She stood there, sitting on a soft, wolf shaped sofa, with her long dark blue disheveled hair falling over her bare shoulders and chest. Her dress was so tight, formed of petals like material, soft blue in color, with some dark blue and dark red lines passing along the whole length of this tight dress, drawing out her sexy figure. The dress barely covered the border of her chest, extending to her heels, ending in a flower like manner on the ground.

He felt some weirdness when he recalled that picture, as many things didn't add up. This was the main trait of the mutated human monsters, as they always had some strange taste in dressing.

As he walked rapidly towards the team, he started to recall the scarce data regarding these types of monsters. Each monster had one supreme ability, and a myriad of other weak abilities that were compared to players' skills.

The problem was in the very low cooldown for the mutated human monster's weak abilities, making them turn into machine guns, throwing abilities without pause.

The supreme ability was considered one of the team's wipe out ability calibers. Each monster had its unique, irresistible ability that he or she can use starting from the tenth minute to the thirtieth minute.

The issue here was there were no rules to force the mutated monster to use the supreme ability at certain periods of time. So, during the whole fight, and in a try to evade the barrage of abilities, the team must be ready to welcome the supreme ability at any time, starting from the tenth minute.

The second problem was that after using the supreme ability once, the mutated monster could use it again after nine minutes, then the next time after eight, and so on. That made facing the mutated human monster like fighting a losing game, the more you play, the more you lose.

Bloom wrecked his brain, trying to find a way to face off this monster, but until he reached the team, he had no strategy planned in his mind.

"Huh? Why do you look paler than you left?" San's confidence got a huge boost, so he started to speak to Bloom, carried out by the moment.

Bloom didn't care about him for now, as he looked at everyone while saying:

"The monster waiting for us inside is a human mutated monster!"

His words, his tone, his gloomy facial reactions made them feel they would face a dragon inside the main hall, but all they heard was simple words, not frightening at all.

"What's wrong with that monster?" Gored asked, in doubt, trying to make sure he heard Bloom right.

Bloom realized players at this stage didn't know this term, not yet. Dealing with mutated human monsters wouldn't start until the mainstream players reach level seventy five.

Just as he thought about this, his mind suddenly realized something, that monster's level had been decreased, to be only level five!

He even patted himself on the head, level five monster, even if it was a mutated human one, wouldn't be this disastrous to him, at least, right?

That was what he thought, which aimed, mainly, to increase his self confidence, to be able to come up with a decent plan.
