Chapter 59: The Working Out Maniac - Second Noob
Chapter 59: The Working Out Maniac - Second Noob
"Ming!" Shen cheered loudly when his friend appeared in front of him. Since Sky did not allow them to change their appearance, he quickly recognized his friend.
Ming was started and subconsciously took a few steps back. He did not know that there was a stone bench behind him so he tripped off.
Shen laughed hard when he saw his friend fell, "Ming oh Ming, your sense of humor does not change. You don't have to hurt yourself to humor me," He smirked at his friend's misfortune.
"SHEN!" Ming ignored his friend's remark. He stood up and dashed toward Shen, "Thank you, Shen. Thank you. You are truly my best friend!" Ming hugged Shen and kept shaking Shen's body.
"Alright, stop it. Stop it. You make me dizzy. Oi, stop!" Shen was ignored by Ming until he heard a female's voice, "Is that your friend, Runner?"
Ming's movement froze as he saw a woman in starter clothes. He released and fixed his clothes.
"Yes, he is my friend, Ming. She is ZhenZhen." Shen introduced the two to each other. Ming had been single since their high school. He never dated anyone for a different reason than Shen.
The former tried to find a girlfriend but the standard he set was just too highs that only a few women amongst hundreds entered his eyes. Shen never planned to date anyone, not that he had not found the girl he was fond of. It was just that he was too busy with his career and it never reached the next step.
From his friend's reaction, Shen could know that ZhenZhen was his type, 'But isn't she too old for him?' He could tell that ZhenZhen was older than them. Of course, ZhenZhen was also a beauty, but after he saw Xue at that time. Any other women were less pretty in his eyes.
"Hello, I am ZhenZhen," ZhenZhen was even more polite toward Ming before she looked toward Runner and let out a sigh, "Can you help me?"
"I will do my best to help since you will be our Cook in this village," Shen nodded his head he finally could eat the real food, "What can I do for you?"
"I am given my first task by my Teacher. She told me to follow you for the morning routine. What's your morning routine?" ZhenZhen asked. The task was ridiculous, what was the correlation between cooking and training her body? It did not make sense, at all. However, since it was the task given by the teacher, she would do it. She was not going to give up in the face of the trial.
"I see, that's actually quite beneficial even if you are a production class. It increases your Endurance for more Stamina." Shen nodded in agreement with ZhenZhen's teacher, "My morning routine is running with weight, but since you are just started, we will start with the lightest weight."
"Before that, I have to guide my friend first. He's just arrived," Shen slapped Ming who stiffened on the spot while looking at ZhenZhen. He pulled his friend forcefully and whispered forcefully, "Ming! You are so embarrassing. Get it together man, you will look creepy if you keep staring at her face."
Fortunately, ZhenZhen was not affected by his friend's weird antics. She merely smiled at Shen as they went away from the respawn spot.
Ming snapped out from his trance as his cheeks reddened. Even in the game, the character could be this expressive, Shen thought to himself.
"Did I look weird just now?" Ming asked concernedly.
"Focus Ming, we have to choose your class. Remember your purpose of playing this game!" Shen shook his head, "And yes, you look almost creepy. You almost look like a creepy stalker that stares at his target!"
"This is bad. My father said the first impression the most important in courting girls," Ming let out a sigh, "It seems I just made a fatal mistake."
Shen rolled his eyes, "Let's talk about girls when we visit Uncle Hou's stall next time. For now, let's focus on your class. So what class do you want?"
Only then Ming nodded and looked at his surroundings. After giving a quick scan, he muttered in a low voice, "How can you survive in this place for one and half months alone, Shen? Maybe if you get thrown into an island, you can survive."
"Focus Ming! Focus!" Shen said exasperatedly, "Let's discuss the class. If you want to earn money, become a blacksmith is a good choice actually. I heard that a successful blacksmith can become a millionaire even in Universe Online. But if you don't like a production class, you can choose the combat class."
Shen showed the village and told him about the class he knew about. The choices he had only made Ming hesitating to choose. He could not make the decision right away.
After contemplating for a while, Ming decided to get the Combat Class. He stood in front of the house with a bow and a dagger symbol. It was an Archer Class, at least, that was how Shen described the symbol. Archer used a bow as their main weapon and a dagger for close combat fight hence a bow and a dagger.
"Are you sure? You have to restart your character and if you respawned in my city or her city, your chance to get back to this village was just slim, Ming." Shen tried to remind him about the consequences.
"Nah, This is Legendary Class, Shen. No matter how bad it is, it can't be worst than the normal class!" Ming confidently stepped onto the porch. He did not ask Shen what would he encounter inside the house as he rushed into the house. Shen did not have a chance to warn his friend but he just shrugged. He never planned to tell his friend about the stone statue.
"Your friend looks familiar," ZhenZhen approached Shen as she looked at the house, "I have seen his face somewhere, but I don't remember."
'Don't say that in front of him or he will misunderstand.' Shen did not say it out.
"AH! I remember, he is the maniac working out. He recently gained fame on the forum and was titled the Second Noob by the other players!"
