Chapter 118: PVP Server
Chapter 118: PVP Server
By the time the sky darkened, Tang Shaoyang had returned to the village. He avoided hunting in the night, not just because he was afraid of the night predator but also because of his limited vision. The moonlight barely helped their vision in the night. Unless with a skill related to night vision, Shen did not have a plan to hunt at night.
The others had the same thought at him. They returned to the village before the dark and were having a meal together. The new menu fried chicken was the most popular as everyone was tired of the mushroom soup and the fish.
Shen joined the other with three big trays of fried chicken on the table. They shared their progress and recounted what they encountered during the hunting. Ming, Dale, and Yue also gave the prey from hunting. Brother Jiang had a lot of use of that Guardian Fish's snout, and he said that he was on the verge of breaking through to make something through the fish snout.
"I can make a bone bow from the Boa's carcass and make the arrow from the fish snout, but I lack the material to make the shaft." When Brother Jiang said this, everyone was looking at Ming. Only Master Hunter could use the Bow, and he had archer-related skills too.
"What kind of material do you need, Brother Jiang? I will search for it for you." Ming was excited as he was about to get a new weapon. He had been using the Wrath Club all this time, the most powerful weapon they had.
WealthyGuy shared information about three trees, Black Oak, Red Willow, and Arch Elm. Everyone looked at the picture of each of the trees, and Shen recognized one of them. "I have seen this tree. Red Willow can be found toward the east of the village."
"Really? I will stop hunting the fish for now and go to the east tomorrow." The excited Ming immediately responded. The guy was impatient to get a new weapon for himself.
"But I don't think you should go there, though. I have been there once early in the game to find my way back to the city, but I died." Shen recalled the early event where he got killed. "The problem is, I don't know why I died. I felt something coiling around my body, and then I died."
Ming was terrified when he heard the story from Shen. A monster that could not be seen with naked eyes was the worst opponent in this kind of environment where a high-level monster spawned. Another problem was they could not steal the tree as they had to chop it down as well.
"I think it was a snake and two times bigger than my arm." Shen showed his arm as he guessed the monster that killed him. "Or maybe three times bigger. I am not sure either as I can't see it." He shook his head.
"I think we can start looking for Black Oak and Arch Elm first. If we can't find those two trees, then we can go together to get the Red Willow." Yue gave her opinion on the matter.
"What about me, Brother Jiang? Can you make a dagger from that bone as well?" Dale asked Brother Jiang. Because the dagger was small, he thought it would be easier to make a dagger than the other weapons.
"I am working with it as well, and if we find one of those three trees, then I can make a spear as well for you, Yue." Brother Jiang nodded his head. He was getting closer and closer to making a weapon with the materials given by Shen. He suddenly made a sorry look on his face and looked toward Shen. "I am sorry, Shen. I don't think I can make a sword yet with the lack of material. I feel bad since you gave me all the materials, but I can't make you anything."
Shen shook his head and waved his hand at Brother Jiang. "Take your time, Brother Jiang. I am fine with what I have right now." Talking about the spear, he suddenly remembered that he had a spear. He took out the Gifted Spear and handed it over to Yue. "As for Spear, I think you can use this for a while, Yue."
Yue looked at the spear and looked at Shen. She took the spear and looked at the spear's information. It was a decent spear for a starting weapon, actually. "Are you sure you're giving me this spear, Shen? This is a decent spear, actually."
"Yeah. That spear is in better hands right now. As you know, my main weapon is a sword, and specific skill needs me to be equipped with a sword or else I can't use the skill. So yeah, the spear is useless to me." Shen smiled and nodded his head.
"Do you need me to pay you? I think the spear is too-" Yue had not finished her words, but Shen cut her off. "It's okay, and you don't have to pay anything. Since we are trapped in this place, we should help each other."
"I think I am going off, take a shower, and have dinner." Shen stood from the bench and waved his hand at everyone. "I am not going back as I am going to try to log in at PVP Server. See you tomorrow, guys."
After Shen went offline, one by one, everyone was going off as well. It was time for everyone to log off to take care of real-life stuff. Everyone usually got back around one or two hours, but Shen would try the PVP Server as it opened today.
Coming out of the gaming pod, Shen stretched out his stiff body. "I need to find a gym, so gaming will not ruin my body." He found out that he was getting lazier to work out as he focused on grinding, and that was bad because his body would lie down inside the gaming pod all day.
"I will look for a gym tomorrow. It's already late." Shen looked at the window, and outside was dark already. He took his phone and checked the clock, and it was six-thirty pm.
He was about to get his towel until a message came in. He looked at the phone, and it was a message from Yue. "Let's meet in the PVP Server at seven-thirty for our friendly fight."
