Chapter 83: Armor
Chapter 83: Armor
It seemed like the red haired receptionist and Mel knew each other and were sharing some pleasantries, using this time, Thea started looking around at the different types of people.
Like she had read in the novels in her past life, there were big muscular men, some had big ugly scars while others seemed to be unscarred. There were also smaller men dressed as bandits, other men and woman dressed as mages and even a lady in a bikini armor. Everyone was wearing an eye catching clothing piece and as a result, Thea took some time to inspect the different armors.
When she did inspect the armors, she was surprise to see the results that came up, after all she had only ever inspected two pieces of clothing, her diaper she received after she was born and the elder dragon set, and both were special, but normal, however the clothing items she inspected now, showed many new details.
The armors Thea had inspected, all seemed to help the person wearing it with certain amounts. From the few items she inspected, Thea could conclude that most effects were minimal. Although they would have a big impact the powerful spells Thea could use, the effects were very limited to their specific section.
Thea had the following thoughts for the items she inspected:
[Necklace]
[Type: Magic]
[Grade: C]
[122/800]
[Effect: When using fire magic, attack power of spell x1.5.]
'Only works for fire magic. Useless.'
[Robe]
[Type: Magic]
[Grade: D]
[287/400]
[Effect: Increases mana with +50.]
'Useless.'
[Wand]
[Type: Magic]
[Grade: C]
[581/800]
[Effect: Casting Speed -1s.]
'I don't even cast spells, useless.'
[Chest plate]
[Type: Physical]
[Grade: E]
[14/200]
[Effect: Defense +11]
' Ohh that's pretty useful Not! It also seems like it's about to break' Thea thought as she looked at the chest plates durability.
[Belt]
'Hmm, no effect?'
[Dagger]
[Type: Physical]
[Grade: B]
[1509/1600]
[Effect: Chance to inflicts basic paralysis for 2 seconds.]
'Ooo, that's the best item I've seen so far, also it seems the higher the grade, the higher the durability and the better the effect' Thea thought after looking at various different items.
Then she thought of something else
'Wait, how do people know about the effects and durability of their items if they can't use inspect?' Thea thought but before she could continue thinking about it Mel called out to her.
"Althea, I'll wait outside you and Mia can do what you came for." Mel said, surprising Thea a bit.
'I thought she was signing me up? Guess she was just talking with her acquaintance Damn I really am spoiled huh, why did I think she was going to do it for me?' Thea thought, slightly ashamed.
Thea watched Mel go outside before she walked up to the reception, Mia was already talking with the red haired receptionist so Thea went to the rabbit or bunny-kin woman on the right.
Only when Thea stood in front of the reception, did she realize that her breast just reached above the countertop.
"Hello, how can I help you today?" The bunny-kin lady asked.
Thea took a quick peek at her nametag before replying to her question.
"Good morning Miss Luna, I'm here to sign up as an adventurer." Thea said enthusiastically with a friendly smile, that seemed to make the professional receptionist blush.
"W-well if you h-have already awakened, fill out this form here." Luna said while blushing.
'Ohh, what do we have here?' Thea thought as she giggled at the receptionist who handed over a form.
Thea filled out the form, just some basic information like name, race and preferred fighting position. Well the form should be basic but Thea's race was a little special so she had to think of something.
When Thea gave the filled in form back to Luna, she looked at the details Thea wrote down and repeated them to make sure they were correct.
"So Althea, your race is tentacle-kin? Your preferred position is all-rounder? Are you sure these are correct? Although what you write down as your preferred position doesn't matter much, as only me and the guild master see this form, are you really a tentacle-kin?" Luna asked questioningly.
"Yep." Thea responded as she thickened and waved one of her hair tentacles she wasn't actively using to make her clothing.
"I see, I guess Madam Magna wasn't the last tentacle-kin then." Luna said thoughtfully.
"Last thing you need to do is place your hand on this orb." Luna said as she pointed at a crystal orb on the counter.
Thea followed the instructions and placed her hand on the orb only for it to suddenly light up and dim soon after.
Luna then took a card and put it on the orb, when she did, text appeared on the card which she then handed over to Thea.
