Never Judge

Chapter 54 - 54

As Jon had warned, the next day there were much more people loitering around the entrance of both the Mor Co. lobby and the basement parking entrance. It seemed they were taking note of every employee and every car that came in.

Thanks to Jon's warning Cedric had already tightened security, so those that had initially attempted to get in were kept out.

"What have you got there?" Cedric heard a paparazzi call out to his companion.

"Nothing. Just ordinary employees. Does this president even come to work?" The other paparazzi said.

"We're sure he goes to work. Remember what the employees were saying on their forum? The president only meets with the directors of each department, and they have constantly been meeting, so that means he goes to the office and leaves." The first one said.

"Yeah, plus the office lights. They always go off at different times, so it isn't some move to deceive people." The second answered while checking their notes.

The paparazzi were putting so much research into trying to find out who the Reyes Heir was and it surprised Cedric. He had expected his return would make the news but he didn't think it would reach this level.

"Ah look! It's Mr. Raymund Laurence's car. If he's coming here then the Reyes Heir has to be here." A paparazzi closer to the entrance pointed.

Cedric looked back and sure enough he saw Ray getting off a new BMW, Cedric assumed it was new since he had never seen it before, and he had been to Ray's garage.

The paparazzi flocked around Ray trying to get an interview, it was a good thing both Mor Co. and Ray were ready with extra guards for crowd control.

By the time Ray had reached the lobby Cedric was already in his office signing documents.

When Ray finally got up he was surprised to hear from Camilla that Cedric was expecting him.

"Are you psychic now?" Ray asked, making himself comfortable on Cedric's couch.

"Please come in, take a seat, do you need coffee?" Cedric said sarcastically while reading through some documents.

"Seriously, how did you know?" Ray bugged.

"I was at the entrance when you arrived. You were delayed by so many paparazzi that I was actually able to get some work done while waiting for you to come up." Cedric said without even looking at Ray.

"Well I'm here to drag you out!" Ray announced.

"Nope! Not with all the paparazzi out there." Cedric said.

"We haven't had lunch in such a long time!" Ray complained.

"That's because you so kindly escorted my sister to America." Cedric looked up with a raised eyebrow daring Ray to answer.

"There was a contract that needed to be signed." Ray explained.

"Documents can be sent here." Cedric said.

"Fine, yeah, I made sure your sister made it back safe. Sue me." Ray looked Cedric in the eye.

"I never said it was bad." Cedric teased.

"What are you working on anyway? You're even busier than Miguel, and Miguel flies around to operate on people." Ray said snatching the documents from Cedric's hand.

"You're expanding Mor Co.?" Ray asked.

"Yes I'm expanding it. I'm adding a laptop arm and we've begun setting up deals for the international market." Cedric answered as Ray looked through the documents.

"And where do you plan to create a big enough facility for this?" Ray was surprised at the scale Cedric wanted to expand Mor Co.

"I purchased land in a province not far from the capital. I plan to build a tech city there, I'm also bringing home some local talents that had to leave for better opportunities." Cedic explained.

"Let me ask this, can I build an airport nearby?" Ray had immediately seen the business opportunities in this project.

"Of course, I plan to put up a Constellations Resort there as well as an Elisia Mall. The housing will be handled by Clarin Homes for the cheaper housing, and for the executives I'll have Krisanta Land build it. I already committed to have a hospital there run by the Chu's as well as a mental free facility for employees run by Nicole. I was going to offer Ram to build a mini hollywood there too." Cedric explained.

"This is in Alexi's province isn't it?" Alexi was indeed a congressman representing the province where Cedric would be building his new tech city.

"He'll get new voters and his current voters will see an increase in employment and an increase in property value, so it's a win win." Cedric shrugged.

"You're too good at this." Ray teased. "Lunch?"

"I need to finish some things, but yes. What place did you have in mind?" Cedric asked.

"Bamboo room? I can empty the place out." Ray suggested.

"No need. We can go to the restaurant in Constellations, we have a private room there right?" Cedric thought Bamboo room was too far.

"I'll ask Ian to make the arrangements." Cedric said.

"Will you go there as you or as you?" Ray asked. Cedric raised an eyebrow at him again.

"I mean will I be having lunch with Cedric or the Reyes Heir?" Ray clarified.

"Just Cedric. So make sure to pass the VIP entrance so no one sees you." Cedric called out as Ray moved to leave.

"Ian!" Cedric called.

"Boss?" Ian came in closing the door behind him.

"What's our most discreet car?" Cedric asked.

"We don't have anything discreet sir." Ian explained.

"I'll take a taxi then. Call Constellations tell them that Cedric Reyes will be having lunch with Ray Laurence in my private room at La Independencia." Ian nodded and went out to make the call.

By the time Cedric came out for lunch he saw the paparazzi interviewing all employees that were coming out of Mor Co.

"Hey, you kid!" A paparazzi called out.

"Look sir, I'm busy." Cedric ignored the paparazzi and ran to an available cab nearby.
