Chapter 24: Necromancer Supreme System Eleven
Chapter 24: Necromancer Supreme System Eleven
Oya had two choices in front of her, one was to ignore this sound, leave here and never come back. The other was to believe this sound and wait. She didn't know what she was supposed to do, however she felt waiting was the least of what would really happen.
She began to rewind the events that led her into here, it all began with the sudden disappearance of Ibro. She didn't know where he went, however she knew he was still alive.
She didn't know he was in trouble and needed help, her help. That slight probability gave her a great push to take risks. She wasn't someone that loved to risk anything without good reason or reward, however now she risked because she had faith.
Faith in her ability to save Ibro in the same way he saved her.
"I agree," she finally made up her mind.
"Good, I don't have any energy left to explain, just swallow this milk and ye-rer-trow-ksm"
The sound suddenly got fragmented in a way that she didn't understand. She looked at the white fluid coming from the lump of materials as she wondered about it.
Was it safe to drink it? She moved a couple of steps towards the fluid, where she tried to touch it. Once her fingers touched it, she felt a cold that turned into warmth in a matter of seconds, then her whole body got cold, then heated up like it was in the oven.
She then passed out.
She didn't know that by touching that fluid, her body was invaded by it. In a matter of minutes, this fluid managed to seep deep even into her soul. The process didn't take minutes to complete, and once completed it was ended.
She opened her eyes, with a strange clearance inside her mind. She felt so clear, intelligent, and confident like she never felt before, except when she managed to be with Ibro for a short period of time.
That memory came to her mind, like it was an old memory she was about to forget. A fog that was around time to be dispersed over the clear surface of a lake, however Oya caught it firmly like her entire life was depending on it.
She felt fear, as her mind was full of many memories that weren't hers. She appeared in all these memories, but she knew she never lived them. She also had many memories about Ibro, being held motionless in some creepy gloomy place.
She didn't know what was going on, all she knew was these memories weren't hers.
'They are yours, so embrace them all and don't reject any.'
Oya's mind froze again, as this voice was the same voice she heard before, her own voice.
'Who are you? Where are you? What's happening to me? What are those memories?'
'Calm down, take a deep breath first. One step at a time, isn't that correct?'
This sentence made Oya feel more insecure, as she kept telling herself this sentence since she was young. She didn't know how she started this habit, however every time things got messy and she didn't figure a way out, she used these words.
'H-How do you know this?'
'That's because I'm you, or I was you in my last life,' the other Oya said.
'This is crazy, what is that even supposed to mean?'
'Sigh, this will take some time to explain. Can't you just take a tour at the memories I left for you? Unfortunately they aren't complete, as I had to pay some price to interfere in Ibro's destiny.'
'You interfered at Ibro's destiny? What destiny? What have you done?'
'Wow, you are really hot on this. Why don't you take my advice and pass through your new memories? I'm quite sure they will help you a lot.'
Oya hesitated, however the other Oya added:
'As for some motivation, let's make this your first mission.'
'Mission? Who are you to issue me missions?' Oya sneered.
'I'm Necromancer Supreme System eleven, and I'm authorized to give you missions, and grant you rewards for that.'
Oya didn't know whether she should laugh at these words or believe them.
'What is the system? This is the first time in my life to hear about it. is it part of the game?'
'Well, the system is a unique thing that's way higher than the games you ever knew. You can consider it as a game, personal game, tailored uniquely for you.'
Oya smiled as she said:
'So, you are my ex-life me, and you are now a system, which is a game designed for me. What about this necromancer thing? Was I a necromancer player in my last life?'
Oya was familiar with the necromancer class, as she personally once played with it at one of the VR games before Rioneed.
'Necromancer is the system of Ibro, and as one of his wives I got a subsidiary supportive system branched off him.'
'Wow, hold on a minute, you were one of someone named Rioneed wives? Isn't that crazy?! How many wives did that sex maniac had?'
'Well, technically speaking you and me are one, so that means you were the wife of that sex maniac. As for Rioneed, he also died like all of us, he sacrificed his life for humanity, and he got reincarnated here as the Ibro you know.'
'What?!!'
Oya was stupefied from shock, as she didn't believe these system words, however just a random glance from her mind over the memories she had made her believe.
Ibro was a reincarnation of Rioneed.
She was also a reincarnation of Rioneed's wife.
'This is unbelievable, I must be dreaming or something. Is this a kind of a joke?'
'No, this is real. Now I will issue you your first mission. Travel through my memories and you will gain one necromancer basic skill, the death rise skill.'
Oya stood motionless in her place for a moment, however she decided after long hesitation to try this system out. She doubted everything she heard from her other self, so she decided to put her to test.
She would scroll over all the memories inside her mind and then she would see if this other self would stick to her promise and grant her this necromancer unique skill or not.
Oya believed nothing would happen, as her mind refused to believe the impossible. Oya then began to read all the memories inside her mind rapidly at first, then she began to slowly be immersed in them.
A deep feeling rose up from the depth of her soul, like a distant echo to a long forgotten dream.
