Chapter 11: The Deadly Teleportation Vortex
Chapter 11: The Deadly Teleportation Vortex
Ibro watched his enemy taking his first move, and surprisingly it was a strange move. Instead of attacking him, that middle aged player with the ten fiends around him retreated with haste that made Ibro even doubt his previous assumptions.
This weird move was followed by one that Ibro had anticipated, as after they retreated for a couple of miles away from him, they stopped. The middle aged man then stood in the center where the other ten fiends began to take positions surrounding him and forming a big circle with that player in its middle.
'Finally, it's as I expected, that would be really funny.'
Ibro muttered to himself, as he already guessed what was going to happen. the player didn't act, instead the fiends around him began to show some changes. Their huge bodies began to swell even more, they began to enlarge steadily and their bodies began to double, triple, and even quadruple then they stopped.
Their cease of move didn't last for a few seconds, then their skin began to crack, and their dark green filthy blood began to ooze from these cracks forming a large pool, a pool with that player in its center.
"Be ready for our retaliation, idiotic system holder."
Ibro didn't even care to reply to him except with a sneer. Ibro knew what all this would lead to, and he was waiting for them to finish so he could respond properly.
The ten fiends bodies didn't stop cracking, and their blood began to accumulate in great amounts, but strangely not a single drop of blood escaped outside their circle. So, a tank filled with filthy dark green blood was formed as it masked the presence of the player in its bottom.
After a few minutes of these steps, the final step appeared, as all the fiends exploded simultaneously, adding huge amounts of demon energy into this bloody tank. Their stored energy mixed together to cause earth shattering changes that caused even this sky world to vibrate violently for moments.
Amidst all this, Ibro wasn't fazed or worried, as he stood simply alone, facing all this heaven shaking changes without any emotions on his face.
Alone, he stood on the sky world watching the blood tank shine brightly with a green light that followed by a huge explosion that caused everything to stand still.
It was similar to his singularity black runes effect, but a lot weaker, which made him feel more secure and confident. Whatever this energy was, his ultimatum form of energy was higher.
The explosion didn't last longer than five minutes, but Ibro was keeping an eye on the changes occurring to his enemy using his divine sense. The middle aged player's body was torn to parts, as another fiend. Although it was smaller in size, it gave Ibro a huge threat feeling.
Ibro thought this fiend would act against him, in contrary to his guesses, but that fiend didn't do that, instead it muttered some strange words, words that Ibro was able to hear perfectly by his divine sense and he memorized it.
Ibro didn't need to ask his system about these words, as he already realized what they were, they were spells, and now he was witnessing their mighty effect.
That fiend kept repeating the spell over and over again. Each time he said it, the amount of the mixed energy fluid around him showed shrinkage signs.
This kept going for minutes, and when the fiend stopped using the spell, there was not a single drop of energy left behind, yet another violent tremble occurred.
A huge vortex began to appear, it was like a whirlpool, made of dark green demon energy, and it was spinning without pause. Once the vortex, that was like a mighty mountain, appeared on this sky world, everything calmed down.
'No matter where I fought you, you always love to use your dirty teleportation trick, sigh.'
Ibro muttered to himself while he was watching this intimidating vortex without any emotions on his face. Inside him, he was feeling ecstatic as he acquired today one more precious spell, and a very useful one as well.
The newly arrived fiend, the one who took control over that poor player soul, stood in front of this mighty vortex as he said arrogantly:
"I already confirmed, your armies at other worlds are entangled in fighting towards our armies, and your main forces are left guarding your pathetic village down there, so you only have your necromancer ability to face me.
How idiotic, you was supposed to gather your strongest forces with you here, but it seems you are as arrogant and foolish as your past self."
Ibro smiled widely as he replied calmly:
"Old habits never die, are you going to kill me with this vortex?"
Ibro pointed with a mocking tone towards that vortex. The fiend didn't feel offended, as he laughed and then replied:
"This isn't a simple vortex, if you still have your old memories now, you would feel terrified like you did last time you met it. Let me show you the horror of this vortex Espanda Meyaito."
'Wow, it's my lucky day, a second spell!'
Ibro wasn't concerned by the fiend's threatening words as much, as he was far interested in the second spell which he kept in his memory. He watched closely the spell effect over the vortex, as the more the fiend said it, the more rapid the vortex spin until it formed a portal.
"What's so strange about this portal? it's like any other portal I have ever met," Ibro said with a mocking tone, as he tried to better understand the nature of this portal. He never underestimated the fiend in front of him even once, as he was sure that fiend was doing something big this time.
"This isn't like any other portal you have experienced, your Excellency, this is a major portal linked directly to our homeland in the demon clan. What you dealt with before were a second rate portals, linked to demon farms in your pathetic human universes.
You never tasted the true power of our mighty demon clan before, except for one time, the time when you nearly died and your human kin was almost extinct. Let's see how you are going to deal with this, mighty lone necromancer," the fiend said with extreme arrogance and confidence in his win.
Ibro, on the other hand, was surprised by this fiend's words, as he didn't expect this to be linked directly to the demon clan itself, but he wasn't afraid. He was more eager to try and crush that fiend's arrogance and show him his true power, so he replied with an irritating laugh while declaring out loud:
"I, a single lone necromancer, is enough to stand against whatever you throw at me, and I will kill you in the end and win this challenge.
A single necromancer is more than enough to stand against the world and crush it."
