Chapter 156: Forest
"Let's not be hasty, we need to prepare," Jane said in response to David's words.
"Why?" asked David.
"Lancelot is indeed an impulsive man, but he has many subordinates and aces. We can't easily defeat him," Jane replied.
David frowned at that because the obstacles in this situation only made him more uncomfortable.
"Let's make that dragon skeleton your puppet. That will help a lot and guarantee an easy victory for us," Jane continued.
She seemed to have already devised a plan.
David nodded lightly to her.
Only, they needed to go to a quiet place so that he could take the dragon skeleton out of his storage ring. He was hesitant to go because it meant he would be away from his older sister.
"I'll stay at this university and will have Erza come to pick you up," Jane said as she patted David's thigh, as if she knew his concerns.
After saying that, she opened her cell phone, typing quickly.
David didn't say anything, just nodded, thinking that Jane was indeed a very intelligent woman. She can calmly think of a strategy in a difficult situation.
Not long after, David saw Mercedez Erza outside the university grounds.
"Let's go there," Jane said.
David nodded to her again before standing up and walking outside the university grounds with her.
The car window was already open as David approached, revealing the figure of Erza sitting in the front passenger seat while Mery drove.
Mery chose to focus on staring ahead while Erza seemed unable to stop smiling as she looked back and forth between David and Jane.
She clearly already understood what happened and what she needed to do. After all, Mery must have also told her about the dragon skeleton they got.
It was just that it was hard for her not to act like she wanted to joke around because of what she saw yesterday between David and Evelyn, Jane's mother.
She thought it was funny to see David with Jane now while yesterday the guy was making out wildly with the mother of his girlfriend.
Of course, she is not talking about that. She still knows the limits. If she talked about it, not only would she become David's enemy, she would also become Evelyn's enemy.
The latter would probably chase her all the way to the United States.
"Please come in," she said to him as she invited him to enter the back room.
David entered without responding, then sat down without fastening the seat belt.
His eyes looked at Mery. He was sure Erza had freed her from her job, but it seemed that this woman still couldn't escape from it.
It's true what the saying goes, freeing a slave will only make him confused.
Mery may not be a slave, but she is used to behaving like one. She had no other goals in life yet.
David chose not to comment on that. Erza should continue to try to steer her towards independence and self-reliance. It's just that, she might need time.
Mery stepped on the gas pedal and the car accelerated.
Erza turned her gaze to the back, then moved there through the gap between the two front seats.
The gap was very narrow but she forced herself through.
Fortunately she was only wearing a short dress, so her clothes did not hinder her.
Even so, due to her hasty movements, she still bumped into David's body until her breasts pressed against his shoulders.
David wasn't in a calm mood right now, so he didn't feel much sensation.
He even wrinkled his forehead.
Erza probably realized that she was bothering him. However, she still tried to interact with him in a smiling manner that didn't seem serious.
"You need to calm down, David," she said. "I'm at your side, no one can disturb you. Lancelot, hmph, he's just a little boy who knows no limits and overestimates himself."
Her hand held David's after she said that, trying to give him more peace by touch.
Unfortunately, David remained silent, making Erza roll her eyes.
Of course, he did not give up on calming her down.
From under the seat, she took out a bottle of wine and a golden cup.
She poured the wine into the cup, then handed it to David.
"Please drink, this is the kind of wine that makes the mind very relaxed without the effects of excessive intoxication," she said in a gentle tone.
Being offered a drink by her, David did not refuse at all. He took the golden cup, and drank the wine inside.
It was very warm, relieving the cells of his body and his brain.
And he had to admit that his mind calmed down quickly.
With a calm mind, Erza's figure wearing only a short dress became very pleasing to his eyes.
However, he wasn't planning on doing anything strange right now. Not until this matter is over.
"By the way, was the process of making that dragon skeleton into a doll very difficult?" he asked Erza.
"Yeah..." Erza nodded. "But there's no need to worry, it will definitely work," she said.
They headed for the outskirts of the city.
Coincidentally, the road they were traveling on would pass by the sports area where David fought with the church troops.
Until now, there had been no news about the destruction of the place, which made David feel strange.
When he arrived near the sports area, he found that the road leading to it was closed by heavily armed military troops.
'Who closed it?' David wondered with a strange expression.
Of course, there was someone powerful who arranged that or it would have been revealed to the public given that there were many parties looking at it right now.
In the end, Mery chose to go through another lane. She didn't seem to care about the road closure.
When they arrived at the outskirts of the city, they entered a road that led to a forest.
It wasn't a big forest, but it was still a very quiet place, rumored to be a den of psychopaths.
In today's years, many would say that the rumors were just made up by the government to keep people from entering the forest so that it would be well maintained.
Unfortunately, that doesn't make people dare to enter it. Most people were still hesitant and afraid because it could have really been a den of psychopaths even though it was just a rumor at first.
Arriving in front of the forest, Mery entered without hesitation even though the road had been unpaved since entering the forest.
Some of the potholes were big enough that the car was shaken.
David, who was not wearing a seat belt, almost fell off.
He had no other choice but to fasten his seat belt.
Apparently, the car also had a feature to make the shaking less pronounced, but Mery had just activated it.
Once it was active, she drove faster.
As it turned out, inside the forest, there were several wooden houses that looked unkempt, had no electricity and all their windows were tightly closed.
David's expression became strange looking at the houses, wondering if there really were psychopaths living in this forest.
Deep in the forest, there was a large lake, which had very clean water, and was full of fish, connected to four rivers.
It was a very beautiful place, which amazed David.
Around the lake, there were even many rare flowers.
Unfortunately, the place didn't seem to have any human contact. If only it was exposed, Parisians would probably come here for a vacation during the summer.
Mery stopped the car by the lake, and turned off the engine.
At the same time, Erza opened the door beside her and got out of the car. David followed her and found that the car had become very dirty.
To his surprise, it suddenly started raining when he had just gotten out of the car.
At first it was just a light rain but it became very wide with the sound of thunder echoing constantly. In no time, his clothes and entire body became wet.
When he saw Erza whose dress got wet, his calm mind was slightly disturbed as she became too sexy as her dress clung to her body.
Her big ass and breasts became conspicuous. Fortunately the dress was a rather dark purple color. If it was white, her bra and panties would probably be visible.
David shook his head in a quick motion, banishing the dirty thoughts from his brain.
"Baby, you can put the skeleton in this lake," Erza said as she pointed her hand at the lake.
David did as she said.
When he also pointed his hand at the lake, the huge skeleton appeared above the lake, falling straight down to cause huge waves.
The fish in the lake were thrown everywhere.
Erza, who was seeing the dragon skeleton for the first time, opened her mouth in amazement.
"How did you guys find something this big?" she said spontaneously.
Her eyes did not blink at all, continuing to stare at the skeleton from top to bottom and from front to back.
