Chapter 71
Chapter 71: What An Arrogant Ghost!
Why should I feel guilty?
Awkwardly, I turned away from his peering gaze and pulled the shadow with me. My feet felt light as I tried to quickly run away from the crime scene. Ignoring my surroundings, I missed the stares some people gave me, especially those who were possessed.
Later on, I found out that they had labeled me as a freak; a freak who could interact with ghost.
My reaction for that title would be for next time story.
My sense in detecting the crowd was getting better and better, or maybe it was only my awareness was heightened due to the tension I felt just now. But, as far as I could remember, I did not meet many people during my escape with the shadow.
My feet stopped moving when I finally reached a rather secluded area. Looking behind my back, I saw a woman in red floating backwards as a result of me grabbing her shoulder. It seemed like she found a time to transform herself into her usual appearance while I was dragging her out.
“Hey..” I called her out.
.....
“You know even if you drag me out of there you can’t hide the fact that the little boyfriend of yours is a ghost, right?” She said without looking at me.
I knew that, of course, but I only shrugged my shoulders in response. Probably sensing my small movements, she turned her body towards me.
I thought that she would have a worse appearance than Kunti’s and her senior’s, but I was stunned when I saw the reality in front of me.
Instead of a super messed up face that people couldn’t bear to see, her face was surprisingly normal. By normal I meant, no barely hanging eyeballs, no black and garish scars on her face, and no super ugly hair style. Her face skin was smooth but pale, the kind of pale that would make ones remember for a long time. Her eyes were surprisingly black and a bit slanted. Her nose was straight and her lips were blood red. Instead of ugly and scary, her face leaned towards creepy and unusual; a perfect combination of elf and devil, maybe. Her hair was long and a bit messed up, but not to the point like Kunti’s.
Judging from her appearance, I bet she must be some higher classes -even higher than the last one possessing Cindy -of female ghost. And, it seemed like she was not in the same class as Kunti.
Maybe she saw me stunned so she threw me her creepy smirk. Her sharp teeth were shown and I couldn’t help but shudder at her not beautiful smile.
“I’m not some of those low classes ghost that you’ve known before. Don’t classify me as one of them.” She said cheekily.
I blinked my eyes, not knowing of how I should respond to her arrogant statement. No matter what classes you are, you are still a ghost, right?
I had the urge to retort back but I held back. This female ghost was obviously stronger than Kunti, stronger than any ghost I had ever met, it was still unclear to me of what would happen to me if I were to oppose her openly.
“You’re pretty quiet, huh? Or, are you trying to analyze me? Don’t bother with it. I’m an open book, I held no hidden intention.” She grabbed my hand that was still clutching at her shoulder and easily threw it away. As if it was not enough, she patted her shoulder like my hand left dirt on it.
What an arrogant ghost!
I really was turned speechless by this female ghost. I felt like I would degrade myself if I were to talk back to her.
Oh yeah, she was quite talkative, too. I didn’t even need to say anything but she would blabber everything out.
After showing me disdain look on her face, she floated around me, scrutinizing me from head to toe. It was uncomfortable, but I was lucky I held back.
“Hm, you have an almost opened seal in your body. Why don’t you open it fully?” She asked me with an interesting look on her face.
“What seal?”
“You don’t know?” The surprised look on her face only made her face even creepier. “I seriously thought how you could pull me out of that human’s body. Turns out you really have the power inside but it is suppressed. The seal is almost broken, though. Hey, you’re quite special, you know?” Her last statement was said with twinkling eyes.
“Special?”
I wonder if that was a good thing or not...
