Chapter 83: Basketball Game (3)

On the other end, Su Han coughed after hearing Su Rans words.

Cough, cough, cough. You? Going? Uh, dont worry about it. As Su Han was talking, he even put on a resentful look.

Fine. I wont go then. Su Ran took a bite of a crawfish and then said, But, you will have to tell me how many points youve won by after you come back.

Why do you want to know?

To see how good my son is, of course.

Su Han continued to eat his crawfish.

The next day, Su Ran got up very early for a change.

She pretended to be reading on her cellphone casually as she peeked over at Su Han who was getting ready to leave the house.

Im taking off.

Okay.

I am going to my game. Su Han added.

I know. Good luck, son.

I cleaned your shoes for you when I was cleaning mine earlier. Ive put it next to the door. Su Han paused for a bit, then added. You can wear it if you are leaving the house.

Mm mm. Thanks, son! said Su Ran with a nod.

She had to exercise a lot of self control to stop herself from bursting out laughing when she said goodbye to Su Han.

After Su Han had left, Su Ran immediately jumped up from the couch, changed quickly, put on her shoes and left the house.

She told the taxi driver, No. 7 High School please.

Sure.

***

According to Su Rans original plan, she should be able to get there before Su Han and get herself a good seat.

Except that, as soon as she walked inside the front door of the school, she ran into someone that she knew.

Well, not exactly someone that she knew. She had only learned of his name yesterday.

Instructor Su? Lu Shao, too, was surprised when he saw Su Ran.

He had received her cellphone number from the Songs yesterday and learned that her surname was Su.

Hi, Mr. Lu. What a coincidence? She still wasnt sure about his ties with the second male leads family, so Su Ran only treated him as a nice person whom she had just met and greeted him friendly.

Instructor Su is heading into the school?

Yes, I am.

Then lets walk together. After telling the chauffeur to wait at the parking lot, Lu Shao walked inside the school with Su Ran.

Are you here to teach, Instructor Su? asked Lu Shao.

No, my son is playing in a game today.

Their chitchatting was very light hearted and Su Ran didnt withhold anything.

Having heard that, Lu Shaos eyes flickered a little.

The look on his face turned peculiar for a quick second.

This Instructor Su already has a child?

Lu Shao felt that it was inconceivable. But then again, after thinking about it some more, was it really that inconceivable?

Oddly, Lu Shao felt a slight unpleasant feeling in his heart.

Are you here to watch your kid play also? asked Su Ran.

Lu Shao hesitated at Su Rans question.

Not exactly. I am here to look into something.

Oh, that so. My son is over at the west court. I am heading that direction. Laters.

Bye.

By the time Su Ran walked inside of the west court, the game was about to begin.

As No. 7 High School was pretty good at organizing their basketball games, a lot of parents were here to watch the game. In addition to the players in the game, even the players that would not be in the game and their parents would also come and watch if they have free time.

When Su Ran arrived at the basketball court, there was almost no room left in the front rows.

Walking onto the audience stance, Su Ran looked around for a bit before she found a spot that wasnt too far back.

Players from both teams entered the court in the crisp shrieks of young girls.

Even though Su Han was half blocked by his teammate next to him, Su Ran was still able to spot him right away.

Wearing his No. 17 jersey, Su Han walked coolly at the back of the team with his hands inside of his pockets.
