Chapter 49: No wonder Su Han blackened in the end… (2)

After Su Ran had walked away, Wang-jie, scooted closer to DaBaos grandma and said, Did she quit her job at that club? My husband has been working the late shift lately, and I have been waiting up for him. I havent heard anything coming from her place for a while now.

I would think so, said DaBaos grandma as she nodded. She looks pretty normal now. She even brought her child back.

I wonder what had happened to her to cause the change?

Seriously. When she threw out all of her old clothes, I thought the father of her child was here to take them out of here.

Father of the child? Have you forgotten how she gave birth to that child? And that place that she worked at Wang-jie took a look in the direction that Su Ran had left from and said, If I have to guess, she probably doesnt even know whos the father of her child.

Welp, as much as this Wang-jie was just being gossipy, she was, nonetheless, dead on.

Su Ran really had no idea who was Su Hans father even after she had read the entire novel.

On the other end, Su Hans school was already out.

This parent-teacher conference included parents from the entire school after the mid-term examination. There were only classes in the morning and the afternoon ones had been cancelled and turned into free time.

As soon as Su Han put on his backpack, someone called out to him from behind.

Han-ge, wait for me. It was Liu YangYang, the one who sat behind Su Han in the classroom. Whew. Why are you in such a rush?

Well, I certainly dont want to stay for the parent-teacher conference, said Su Han as he rolled his eyes at Liu YangYang.

Hehe, I guess you are right. But where are we going? Liu YangYang chuckled and wrapped his arm around Su Hans shoulder.

Liu YangYang has an intact family, but both of his parents were overseas so he suffered the same fate as Su Han during all the parent-teacher conferences where nobody from their families had attended.

As such, the two of them had formed a sort of revolutionary bond inexplicably.

And, every time during the parent-teacher conference, the two of them would hang out together.

Having heard that, Su Han frowned a little.

He wasnt in a good mood and wanted to stay, Nowhere. I am going home. But, thinking that Su Ran would be home at this hour and not wanting to explain why there werent classes in the afternoon, perhaps he should give up on the silly idea of going home as well.

Hey, where are you two going?

Su Han was just about to say something when they were stopped by several others in front of them.

Per the schools rules, nobody is allowed to leave the school this afternoon.

Oh, hey hey. Our most respectful class leader, do you think you are overstepping a little? Liu YangYang didnt care that his path was blocked. Plus, where we are going is none of your business.

You of course it is my business. Last time the two of you snuck away it cost our class to lose points.

So? What are you saying? Su Han, who hasnt said a word until now, looked up and asked impatiently.

I The class leader didnt know how to respond to Su Hans words. She reflexively took a step back.

Seeing that, Liu YangYang took a step up as well and said, Yeah, just exactly what are you going to do if we are leaving, huh? You want to fight?

Fight? Hrm. Do you think everyone is barbaric like the two of you? shouted the class leader and only stopped when she felt someone tugging at her sleeve.

On the other side, Su Han had already looked away and walked around this group of people.

Haha. Good job, Han-ge!

Say, where are we going in the afternoon? Should we go to the video game center?

No.

Okay then, where do you want to go, Han-ge?

The library.

Hah? Are you kidding me?
