Chapter 133 Combined Offensive
Olivia Aveline.
Olivia Aveline knew that she and her team didn't have much time left; they had to use their plan to its fullest potential. The monster had to be stopped quickly before it could fire another energy blast and cause even more casualties.
Many people had already taken up their positions, including those from a distance who readied their long-range attacks. The only thing left for Olivia to do was to buy them time by engaging the giant monster in battle.
Witnessing the monster from up close was awe-inspiring and frightening at the same time; its immense power was evident, and if not managed carefully, it could quickly become an unmanageable threat.
Olivia raised her sword high, and the energy it generated made it seem as if the blade had suddenly grown in size. With a loud battle cry, she released the charged energy toward the monster, causing it to shriek in response and fixate its attention on her.
Lily Gardner
Lily, edging closer to the huge creature's feet, yelled out to Lewis, who was stopped on the ground with his shield over his head. "Lewis, are you ready?"
"No time for chit-chat, Lily!" Lewis answered sternly and tersely.
Lily clenched her fists and sprinted towards Lewis. As she was about to reach him, she leaped onto his shield. A monumental explosion erupted around Lewis, violently propelling Lily through the air and inducing her to rotate wildly.
Momentarily, she was hovering right in front of the nine heads of the Hydra.
The force of Lewis' second energy blast hit Lily with tremendous force, causing her to plummet from her airborne position. She plummeted straight towards the neck of one of the Hydra and, with a powerful thrust, drove her sword deep into its flesh.
"Thanks Lewis."
Lily whispered her gratitude to Lewis, although her twin brother hadn't heard. She tried to maintain his position, waiting for the perfect opportunity to launch her assault.
Gydarra.
"Master! Where are you?!" Gydarra bellowed as he thrust his sword into the leg of the monstrous Hydra. Seizing any part of the creature he could, he used all of his strength to propel himself back up into the air, desperately trying to keep his balance before he grabbed onto another part of the creature to steady himself.
The monstrous Hydra roared so fiercely that it shook the air and trembled the ground beneath it.
From afar, Gydarra spotted a swarm of monsters rushing toward them, and he uttered a despondent cry, "Tsk! Damn it!"
"What a shame! In this critical moment, you're nowhere to be seen, Master Nathan!" Gydarra continued to yell and complain, wishing desperately that someone was there with them. "If only you were here, then maybe this situation wouldn't be so dire!"
Olivia Aveline saw a vast group of monsters coming from afar and quickly glanced at Robert and the others, who were readying for battle. She bellowed, "Robert, I'll confront the monsters. Give me twenty seconds, then we'll launch our assault on this monstrous Hydra together."
In response, Robert swung the colossal icicle he held above his head, indicating his agreement with Olivia's plan.
Olivia quickly weaved her way through the cracks in the ground, her sword glowing as she unleashed a powerful wave of energy that easily vanquished the oncoming horde of monsters.
In a blink of an eye, Olivia found herself surrounded from all sides by a throng of monsters.
A three-meter-tall giant then charged at her, swinging a massive stone club. Undeterred, Olivia gracefully evaded the attack and, with a single leap, landed on its back to deliver a fatal blow to its neck.
Olivia fought with every ounce of her strength, her jaw clenched and her grip on her sword firm. She thrust it deep into the center of the gargantuan creature barreling towards her.
She threw himself to the ground, and with a mighty cry, she swung her sword. In a single stroke, she dispatched dozens of the monsters sprinting toward her.
In the distance, Robert and the majority of the Hunters equipped with ranged attacks were ready to launch their assault. Robert then raised his hands above his head, and a large, sharp chunk of ice formed. Blue energy emanated from it and illuminated the area around them.
"Arrow troops, focus on the first target on the right!"
Meanwhile, Nina was helping organize the other Hunters to form an attack strategy, coordinating their efforts to ensure they could deliver their attacks at the right time.
Gaem and the dark elves were diligently preparing their magical attacks while the Dwarves and forest elves were readying their own weapons and tactics. With their combined forces, they all hoped their joint effort would bring them the victory that night.
From afar, Olivia spread her wings wide and took flight, a sight that signified the moment they had been eagerly anticipating had arrived.
Olivia held up her sword and dashed to the opposite side of the room, attempting to move into a better position to take on the three heads of the monstrous creature in front of her. She lunged her sword forward, signaling the countdown to begin.
Nina shouted out "Three!" to kick off the countdown, and an instant surge of energy and enchantment filled the air. The brilliant light seemed to hasten the arrival of the morning.
"Two!"
Nina yelled at the top of her lungs, ensuring that all the hunters were primed and ready. From a far-off vantage point, she could see Lily and Gydarra getting ready to launch their assault. "On my mark...One! Everyone, attack!"
A sudden burst of energy exploded, and multiple balls of magical energy flew upwards, accompanied by Robert's large icy boulder, which was hurled forward with great force.
Olivia swung her sword with such strength and ferocity that it appeared to have grown in size.
Lily let out a loud shriek as the sword in her hands illuminated, and her body was engulfed in a radiant blue light. She thrust her sword forward with all her might and was aided by the momentum. She succeeded in slicing through the Hydra's neck with one swift strike.
Olivia managed to take down one head of the Hydra, as well as Lily and Gydarra. All magical attacks, including arrows and an icy boulder, hit their mark, resulting in a loud explosion and deafening blast that shook the sky above.
