My Plunderer System

Chapter 49 49 - The Outcast

Milo decided he would introduce himself to the student, with an ability like that it wouldn't be bad to try and get on his good side. When walking up to the student, he recognized Milo from the night before and tensed up.

"Look, I'm sorry for what happened at the front of the school yesterday, just please don't hurt me," said the student.

With a confused look Milo responded, "Why would I hit you? We bumped into each other by accident."

The student seemed generally fearful towards Milo, so Milo decided to try and get to the bottom of it. He was a bit short, about six or seven inches shorter than Milo, with a mop of dirty blonde hair that was swept over one eye, and he seemed to be avoiding eye contact with the rest of the X ranked students.

"Is everything okay?" Milo asked, "I just got transferred in from the A rank class and today is my first day of my new schedule."

Hearing this, the other student's eyes widened, "you mean you aren't a rich jerk like the rest of them?" he asked.

"What do you mean? I'm an orphan and I live with my cousin in New York in a cheap two bedroom apartment, so definitely not rich. What does my background have to do with anything though?" Milo responded.

Hearing this, the other student huffed out a sigh of relief as if someone had just given him good news. "Whew, I thought you were some big shot in society who came to beat me up again, like the rest of the guys in our class, the girls leave me alone for the most part, but the guys are jerks."

Hearing this, Milo nodded his head, "I can tell, if Mikael wasn't here I'd probably be filled with arrows, right now, thanks to that asshole," he said as he pointed out the student who had shot an arrow at him. "What's your name? I'm Milo," he said, offering his hand for a handshake.

"The name is Zach," responded the student.

After a bit of more talking and discussing what weapons they were training in. The pair decided to go and get food together after training was over.

Once training had ended, the pair made their way to a diner right outside of campus. They sat down, ordered their food, and began talking. As it turned out the pair had a lot in common. Both of them were bullied a lot at their old school for being weak, and both weren't from rich backgrounds. Zach went on to explain that since he was the only one in the class that didn't have a high pedigree before today, all the other boys in their class would push him around. It didn't help that without the right conditions his ability wasn't all that powerful. Because of this he had been feeling down about school and thought that his school life was screwed just like his first two years of highschool, that was until Milo had transferred into the X ranked class today. Now he finally had someone he could relate to and get along with, which was a relief for him.
