Chapter 218: Gathering to become a group
"Of course, you don't have to see me as the central field of how everything worked. What I am trying to build here at this moment, at least, is not just for my harem. I plan to build a community—a Sect.
"We won't be as strong as the four Great Sects, who have their own Transcendent Stage cultivators—yet—but don't worry about that.
"And don't consider accepting this binding as having an obligation to sleep with me. This is a community where we can freely trust each other with no bars attached. In fact, by being in this bind, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Let's call it a sect indeed."
And he would also have something exceptional to gain because of it. Not only would he gain a completely trustworthy team of companions, but he would also be able to achieve his own full potential.
The Lust Dao now coursed inside him, and with that, he could do many things, and for it to reach its full potential, he would need partners. Of course, he hadn't revealed everything in his mind yet.
Everyone grew contemplative, and Ruo, especially, grew silent.
It was that look again. Han Li had once more looked at her that way, a look that seemed to be looking past her instead of at her.
The room grew a bit depressed.
Liyue smiled gracefully, and the room seemed to brighten immediately. Even Ruo felt the slight stuffy feeling in her chest vanish.
In her soft voice, Liyue said, "Big Brother. So you do plan to make a sect in the end—even though you told me you didn't want to create a sect once."
Sighing, he nodded. "I changed my mind."
Wei Yuanfen, the ignorant one of the worldly matters, mumbled a question to Li Yao, "What is a sect?"
"Idiot, don't interfere with my thought process when the brat is saying something interesting."
"Miss Li Yao, you are so much like your daughter. Has anyone ever said that? Both are very… annoying." Yuanfen grumbled. "Just answer."
Liyue threw her a one-eyed squint.
Li Yao threw her an irritated glance and said calmly:
"A sect is a place where many people—unbothered of their origins—join together. It is like a family bond by rules rather than bloodline.
"In the Sacred Lust Continent, there are only four sects, and they are called the Greats.
"If we try to start another one, the Transcendent heads of those places will come and hunt us down. So even though Han Li seems nonchalant, his words are shockingly bold.
"He wants to create a sect right under the nose of the Greats and with only his harem in it as of now if my guess is correct."
Han Li nodded at them. That was nearly the entirety of the picture. Nearly.
"So, what's the name of this particular sect you are building?" Li Yao questioned while noting that none of the women in the room seemed worried except Hua Feilan, who had grown stiff at the mention of building a sect.
Ignorance was indeed bliss. The others didn't know what a Transcendent aiming against their heads meant. If their building a sect ever got out as news—they would make an enemy of the whole world.
Transcendents were the lords, the gods ruling over the continent. They were the epitome of the current power.
Even Hen Shin won't dare protect them after Transcendents aim at their lives. They'll be dead in days. The world would turn upside down from this dreamy situation.
Blood would wash the grounds red—beauties would become skeletons. What was Han Li thinking? He was not one to be reckless, at least.
"Name of the sect…" Han Li dragged. Then, he smiled. "Let's name it the…"
Before he could say his idea, Yue Li recommended a name with a quaint smile, "Lust Villa."
Seeing her smile irked something inside Han Li and made him break a smile at the same time. She was still the same in both his timelines—his little constant.
He pulled her onto his lap; she was a bit surprised but got comfortable quickly. Even purring slightly without any shame or consideration that others were looking.
"Don't suggest another name." He kissed the top of her head. "You obviously suck at it, you just have to sit there and please me with your antiques. I'll do the thinking in important details."
Yue Li clicked her tongue, slightly irritated that he was mocking her intelligence again—even though she had become so much better—but she could feel how caringly he was holding her, and that made her relaxed.
Han Li was tall enough to put his jaw above her head, and he rested it there.
Liyue seemed to be bursting with a fantastic idea for a name and when he looked at her, she immediately said proudly, "Hidden Existence Sect. We'll be like a hidden force in the dark that no one expects, but we will still conquer the world from the backseat… Right from underneath the rug.
"We won't have to worry about the Great Sects either, as we will keep everything in the dark."
Wei Yuanfen cleared her throat. "For my rival, that's a good one; I like it, Hidden Existence, but I have a suggestion. Master, If you are making a sect, I'd say you should consider naming it the Temple of Goddesses, as it is predominantly women—in number, I mean. And you could attract more women for you to bed."
"What a disgusting name," Ruo interjected with a bratty snort, already having forgotten the earlier incident. "I don't want to be part of a sect with any of those cringe-worthy names. We should name it the Rising Fools. It is a profound name. By naming it that, we are acknowledging that we are all fools, but then, we are also becoming non-fools by agreeing that we are fools."
Everyone promptly ignored her and focused on Han Li. She growled.
The people who hadn't given their ideas were busy thinking about the consequences rather than naming it something fun. Creating a sect was no joke. Names didn't matter if you ended up dead! What if the secret goes out?
Han Li rubbed his jaws and gave his own piece: "Demon Paradise. We will keep this name, and that's it. And I have my reasons."
"Lame," Ruo said unhesitantly.
"I like it, simple and elegant," Liyue said with a nod while also throwing a chess piece accurately at Ruo's forehead.
