My Journey to Godhood as a Caterpillar

Chapter 74: Fighting the elements (4)

Chapter 74: Fighting the elements (4)

Zula looked down at Yun Jhin and took in his appearance, so Yun Jhin did the same but he wasn't that brazen while looking at her, or else who knew what will that woman accuse him of?

Zula wore red fiery clothes with flame patterns around the hems, she had her hair done in a bun behind her back and her deep orange eyes were gazing deeply into Yun Jhin seemingly as if she was trying to see through all of his secrets.

Yun Jhin ignored her insistent gaze as he watched her point at his spatial ring and said:

"You have taken a crystal herb from here, boys confiscate his spatial ring."

Zucco came closer to him and took his spatial ring, on the surface Yun Jhin had a very sad expression but inside he was cold as ice, he wore a decoy spatial ring for this type of situations, all of his important stuff was hidden in his spatial bag, he already transferred the other herbs in the spatial bag and he hid it on his person, unless they checked his body thoroughly they wouldn't know, of course, he let the crystal herb inside the spatial ring to not trigger their suspicion.

Yun Jhin wanted to struggle and take his spatial ring away but the two men kept a strong grip on his arm and shoulders, one of them even mocked him:

"What does one-arm halfling trash like you doing in the wind danger zone?"

The man spat on Yun Jhin's head as he looked at him from above, halflings were often looked down upon by pure draconic beings due to their innate pride and thinking that the higher and purer the bloodline the better someone would be, their innate qualities made them extremely narcissistic when it came to their race.

Yun Jhin didn't say anything but he was gritting his teeth, Zula observed his expression and gave him a mocking smile as she said:

"You are quite brazen to follow behind us and try to steal from my father's secret stash, however, it's quite strange, how did you enter? I'm sure I closed the door behind us."

Yun Jhin kept his mouth shut but Zula's eyes narrowed as she made a gesture with her hand then thrust it inside his stump, fresh yellow blood started to drip from his stump as Zula said:

"Your wound is quite fresh, even though it has been cauterized, I can easily open it up with my torture technique, speak up before I will start digging in."

Yun Jhin's face morphed as he felt the pain travel through his whole body, he looked directly in Zula's eyes and said:

"I have followed behind you using my stealth technique..."

Zula smiled at him as she patted his injured shoulder making even more blood splatter down from it and she said:

"That wasn't hard, was it? Now give me the stealth cultivation technique and I might bother throwing you out of here alive, what do you say?"

Yun Jhin narrowed his eyes inside, this woman was quite greedy, Yun Jhin liked that at women, Yun Jhin opened his mouth to tell her the cultivation technique when suddenly he spewed some elemental aura from his mouth, burning the duo's arms and hands away from him and disappearing.

The duo was a little bit shocked after they saw their arms burning but they easily stopped the flame from extending to their bodies, Zucco looked down at his hand only to see the spatial ring that he had put on his finger disappear, along with his finger!

Zucco shouted as he threw a fireball randomly in anger but he didn't hit anything, Yun Jhin couldn't be felt anywhere, his aura disappeared, technically speaking, Yun Jhin was a turtle in a jar in this situation, he couldn't beat them head-on so he had to resort to trickery. Zucco looked down and saw his bloodied finger on the ground, he grasped it with his arm then reattached it to his hand, afterward he cauterized the wound using his innate flame ki. While only Sage Realm experts could recover limbs, that didn't mean those below this rank couldn't reattach them if they were whole.

He gritted his teeth from the pain but endured it, his eyes were literally spewing flames as he tried to look around with his special eye technique and find Yun Jhin's traces.

However his eye technique wasn't up to far, he couldn't find Yun Jhin anywhere!

Yun Jhin frowned as he sat near the painting, while the others were looking around for him, the moment all of them faced a different direction from the picture he pressed it in the same pattern that Zula said before and disappeared in the secret room!

The secret room was small, that must have been one of the reasons they left it so fast, it was decorated sparsely with a meditation mat on the ground an incense burner near it, there was also an empty pedestal a few centimeters away from the mat, the pedestal was empty but from the looks of it, the thing that sat in it must have been something rotund like a ball.

Yun Jhin sat on the meditation mat and waited, they would try to enter here for sure but he was already invisible, if they tried to look around he would stay still and wait until they left.

Yun Jhin waited for a little time before Zula entered the hidden room and looked around, her eyes were spewing flames just like Zucco's but her eyes were spewing blue flames instead of normal red-colored.

She tried to touch the room randomly as she couldn't see Yun Jhin, but with some incredible flexibility, Yun Jhin made it so whenever she would almost grasp him she would miss by a hair, Yun Jhin saw an opening as she turned his back and stealthily approached her before she placed his katana on her neck.

Zula smiled as she turned back to Yun Jhin, now his katana laid on her jugular as she said:

"Aren't you daring to try to assassinate me?"

Suddenly blue flames pushed Yun Jhin away into the pedestal breaking it and creating a vacuum where air started to gather, the air started slashing into Yun Jhin as Zula threw fire at him, the combination of fire and wind was ready to incinerate Yun Jhin to ashes when suddenly the wind started to suck everything out of the room, Yun Jhin disappeared and Zula shouted in disbelief as she was sucked out of the room as well.

The room was destroyed as the formation that held it intact broke down, Zucco and the other two tried to enter the room as they didn't hear anything from Zula for a while but they realized they couldn't!

When they tried to enter the wind currents would batter them and slash at their bodies until they turned bloody.

In an unknown location inside the wind danger zone, Yun Jhin woke up as he looked around, he saw beside him Zula who was bleeding profusely then he looked down at his body, it was both burnt and slashed, however, none of his vital points were struck, his body was quite strong so he survived, due to the bodily strength he also recovered faster than her and woke up sooner.

Yun Jhin placed a few restraining formations on her body, then touched her here and there, he looked a little bit more and realized she was a virgin.

Just the good thing for him as he needed the vital Yin of a King Realm expert or above to restore his arm, it would be a bonus to recover from his current injuries as well.

Yun Jhin looked down at her prone body and invited himself...

After a long while Yun Jhin's body was now fully recovered a new arm sprouted from his stump and he moved it here and there to make it adapt to his body, Zula was wearing clothes and she looked the same as before, even her injuries seemed to have healed, after all, Yun Jhin couldn't stop his vital yang from helping her, his vital yang was rather potent due to his strong body and her injuries weren't that bad so they got healed pretty quickly after she absorbed it.

Her injuries were healed and she was pretty much in a perfect state right now, her eyes opened as she glared at Yun Jhin, she felt that she lacked her vital Yin she tried to get up but she couldn't then she shouted at him with a pained look on her face:

"YOU BEAST, HOW COULD YOU!"

Even though she was a scheming woman she was still a woman, in the end, she would care deeply about her body and she felt that she had been wronged that she was taken advantage of.

Yun Jhin didn't bother to listen to her as he got near to her and grabbed her hair before he picked her up and made her look into his eyes:

"Listen here, due to you and your little friends I'm not even sure where we are currently, also tell me one good reason why would I let you off here?"

Zula gritted her teeth as she spat into Yun Jhin's face, Yun Jhin chuckled as he dodged the spit and then punched her in the face giving her a nose bleed.

Zula wanted to get up and fight him but she was powerless due to the restraining formations he put on her, as long as Yun Jhin could get near someone and had enough time to put restraining formations even an 8th stage King Realm expert would fall to him, however from the 9th and above even his formations wouldn't work unless he was at the same cultivation base.

Yun Jhin looked at her as her face became a deep red, was it from anger or embarrassment? Maybe both.

Zula decided that it was time to take a compromise as she looked around, she didn't recognize what place they were in so she told him what he wanted to know:

"I'm from the Bumi Empire, I have been sent along with my cousin Zucco and the other two to gather a special treasure left behind by my grandfather, in his youth he trained in the four danger zones and he left a special place where he cultivated inside the wind one..."

She explained how her family was of quite a high standing in the Bumi Empire, they stood in the top 10 rankings, even though they were the last in the tenth place her family wasn't anyone could fight with as the families in the top 10 rankings had God Realm experts in their ranks, from the 10th to the 2nd they only had one god realm expert, but the 1st which was the imperial family had 2 high-level God Realm experts!

The ranking was based on the stage the patriarchs of the families were at.

So if the Bumi Empire had the 9th stage God Realm expert that meant the 10th family had a half-god expert, the half-god was a stage between the Sage realm 10th stage and the God Realm 1st stage.

Yun Jhin listened with to her with his eyes closed, he couldn't kill her as he would be surely blamed if she didn't return from this expedition, the other three knew and god knows where they were at now.

What he could do was keep the restrictions on her body and try to find a way out of the wind danger zone, he would drop her somewhere and let the formations dissipate on their own, then she could leave, he was unhappy that he couldn't deal with this problem but as long as he didn't kill them or take their secret object they wouldn't be able to escalate things.

After all, in all empires, there were fights between factions, and Yun Jhin had the Emperor behind him which had a cultivation base of around the 5th stage of the God Realm, the 10th ranked family, in the end, even if things escalated, the Bumi Empire wouldn't be able to threaten the Sumo Empire as they had the Luo Empire backing them.

Especially for some people of the younger generation who didn't even die nor they had their treasures stolen, at most they would write it off as a scuffle between the younger generation, also since he took her virginity there was a chance they would send her to marry him as an alliance between the Empires.

Yun Jhin sighed as he looked down at her then readjusted the formation to let her be able to move around but he gave her the ability to fight around the 9th stage of the heavenly realm, she wouldn't be able to do anything to him she would also die if they found some elemental that she couldn't fight and Yun Jhin didn't protect her.

Zula got up from the white ground and glared at Yun Jhin, her orange fiery eyes turned blue as she jumped at Yun Jhin and tried to kill him!

But Yun Jhin easily grabbed her arm and put it behind her back as he said:

"You want another round now that you are conscious?"

Zula face reddened again as she tried to spit at him again but Yun Jhin pushed her down and pinned her to the ground as his face got close to hers then he said:

"I let you move around so we can find a way to get out of here, don't think that I took advantage of you because I like you or something like that, but your vital yin was very useful to me."

Zula's eyes wandered to his regenerated arm and she realized why he used her like that, but that didn't mean she accepted it, however, the victor was king since she couldn't do anything to him she might as well follow his lead.

Yun Jhin smiled as she turned meek then got up letting her get up as well, then he looked around and asked:

"Your grandfather should have given you a map of the wind danger zone, bring it up, and tell me where we are."

Zula nodded and took a grey map out of her spatial ring. She realized that Yun Jhin didn't steal anything from her ring as she saw everything in order, this gave her a better impression of Yun Jhin, but she would still backstab him if she could, the hatred between them wouldn't be erased this easily, just because he didn't steal her things when she was down. But it did give her a better impression of how he acted.

Zula opened the map and showed it to Yun Jhin then he nodded and pointed at the middle of the map, his eyes narrowed as he saw their location and his face turned grave.

They were in deep trouble if they didn't move away from their location.
