Chapter 153: This treasure isn't for you (5)
Chapter 153: This treasure isn't for you (5)
Yun Jhin's eyes were closed as they were covered by snow, his breathing was shallow and he could feel his chest hurting like it was rammed by a bull, he tried to move his small hands to clear his eyes so he could regain his vision, in his current situation he couldn't use his soul as he would injure his body even further, his soul was putting pressure on his body even while it was healthy, using it in this situation was suicide.
Yun Jhin could hardly move his small chubby hands towards his eyes as he cleared the snow on them, then he looked around, he realized that he was in an underground cave made by the being that dragged them underground, it was pretty spacious and Yun Jhin's former reincarnation couldn't be found anywhere.
He tried to move but his chest hurt too much, it wasn't known where his former reincarnation was dragged by the beast but it seemed he was left behind because he wasn't nutritious enough for the beast to eat, the basket that was tied to his former reincarnations back snapped the moment they were dragged through the snow into the cave so here he was.
Yun Jhin tried to drag his body out of the pile of snow he was currently in but considering he wasn't even a month old yet meant that it was easier said than done... he also took a chest hit when he hit the ground even though he was snuggled in the basket pretty well.
Yun Jhin frowned, what could he do in this situation?
Three yips were coming from nearby and Yun Jhin froze, the being that just dragged them both underground had kids!
Three furry white balls made their way towards Yun Jhin as they sniffed the air, they were pretty cute as they rolled around in the snowy underground cave.
Yun Jhin couldn't move properly so they three balls got near him and started to sniff him, because Yun Jhin was so close to his former reincarnation when he was attacked some of the attackers smell rubbed off on him and his former reincarnation as well. Suddenly one of the white balls started to yip at him while getting closer, he licked Yun Jhin across the face and then started to growl!
Yun Jhin could feel that the lick made his chest feel better, Yun Jhin realized that they were peculiar beasts the moment they appeared but their healing saliva made him realize that they were special Snow Garguans, only Snow Garguans could use their saliva to heal and they could be considered a rare beast that anyone below the God Realm would want as a pet. Adult snow Garguans could heal one from the brink of death if they had enough saliva stored in their cheeks.
Yun Jhin knew the one who licked him started to growl because he realized he wasn't one of their brethren, they were fooled because of that rubbed off smell, but the moment the small fluff ball tasted him he realized that he was a fake.
There wasn't much he could do here, even though the three things were just babies they were way stronger than him and all he could do was wait for his life to be claimed.
Yun Jhin felt his heart stop beating as the three things were slowly inching towards him while growling and baring their small teeth, suddenly they started to make yip sounds as they shook, it seemed they were scared by something!
Yun Jhin watched as his former reincarnation returned, one of his arms were broken and his right eye was closed as a big scar could be seen coming from his temple to his mouth, there was a peculiar aura going around him as he looked at the small fluff balls on the ground.
He put his hand up as he was ready to blast them into smithereens with his ki when Yun Jhin suddenly sent him a soul transmission which told him:
"Don't kill them, you are lucky that you survived against an adult Garguan should have killed you, it seems you have encountered a teen so we could be considered quite lucky, let me tell you the capabilities of Garguans."
Yun Jhin told him all of the abilities of the beasts and this made his former reincarnation ponder for a few seconds before he grabbed one of the fluff balls and dragged his tongue out of his mouth as he used it to bath himself with it.
The little thing was frightened as it yipped for his mother or father but all it got was his tongue stretched out until he had no more saliva left.
His injuries couldn't heal with only one infant's limited saliva reserve so his former reincarnation went ahead and drained the other two of their saliva.
He got his broken arm healed and his scar sealed up leaving only the sequelae behind.
His former reincarnation sighed as he looked at the little fluff balls and didn't know how he could store them, while they were only almost as big as Yun Jhin, he only had one basket, and that one was broken as well, while he could technically make one big basket that he could put on his back, that meant putting Yun Jhin and the little beasts together.
Yun Jhin saw his former reincarnations conundrum and told him he was ok with it and that he had a way to calm the beasts while they were with him, Yun Jhin's way of calming them was using his soul to influence them, he couldn't have used it right now or he would have surely died due to his semi-serious injury on his chest, but if his body was fully healed he could exert himself a bit.
The cave they were in wasn't that big so his former reincarnation could scale the walls and take all 4 of them out as well, it just took a little bit of time, after 6 hours of climbing up and down they were finally out of the cave.
The three fluff balls were too exhausted to resist and even if they resisted what could they do? Their brother or sister was already killed by Yun Jhin's former reincarnation, what could their little bodies do against him?
Yun Jhin looked his former reincarnation up and down as he muttered to himself:
"Making a fortune out of danger? This fortuned constitution is already showing its edge this early?"
Yun Jhin was obviously very envious but considering they were only inside a test he could only hope he could make use of his former reincarnation properly to get through it.
They returned towards the eye of the storm and left it to get some more bamboo and flexible wood to create a bigger basket in which they could put all of the youngsters of the crew.
Yun Jhin was now sitting amongst the three fluffy beasts in a bigger basket which was tied on his former reincarnations back, they were back inside the tundra and fortunately for them, the blizzard was done as they waited before they re-entered.
They went back to the Yatul Kingdom and with the use of Yun Jhin's stealth technique they easily slipped through any patrols eyes and reached the location where the pure ki was located, Yun Jhin smelled the air as he was let down in the clearing where the ki was along with the 3 snowy beasts.
After using his soul to influence them they were thinking of him as the weaker brother of theirs that they had to protect, they were all around him playing and yipping.
Yun Jhin shook his head as he let them play, he sat on the ground as he started to use his breathing technique to start cultivating, his former reincarnation was watching them from above, he was standing in a tree some distance away as he kept watch for the sect's men, this location was good for newbies and the recruiting time of the sect wasn't around yet, but who knew if any patrols made their way here?
Yun Jhin's body was rumbling as the pure ki was running through it, his baby body was suddenly starting to increase in height as he broke through the 1st stage of the earthly realm in one go!
He was forcefully advancing his age with cultivation using the pure ki in his surroundings!
The three small fluffy beasts yipped as they watched Yun Jhin grow almost as tall as them!
As time passed Yun Jhin's cultivation increased more and more, he was galloping through the cultivation realm using the rich and pure ki in their surroundings.
2nd stage, 3rd stage, 4th stage, He only stopped at the 6th stage because he absorbed all of the ki in his surroundings, if he had this type of ki in his former trial he would have been a heavenly realm cultivator or above by his 11 years old age and he could have withstood his 'mother's' attack.
Yun Jhin opened his eyes as he felt his ki running through his body, he let out a breath as he got up on his feet and started walking by himself, he now looked to be 6 years old even though only 3 months passed since he started cultivating, he was basically around 4 months old now but his cultivation growth facilitated him to look way above his age.
Yun Jhin looked towards his former reincarnation, he kept watching for those 3 months and he appreciated his hard work, he sent him some more cultivation information that could help him later while also leaving some hidden intent here and there to make sure he wouldn't be betrayed, and if he was he would have some backup plan.
The three little beasts around him had grown a little bit in those 3 months as well, they weren't as big as him anymore but as long as they kept growing well they would get bigger than him in no time.
Yun Jhin sent three soul imprints into their souls stealthily, he wanted to have them under his control in the future and while his former reincarnation was contemplating the knowledge he gave him, he put the three beasts under his control!
He waited for a little bit before his former reincarnation finished contemplating then they left the location behind them, Yun Jhin could cultivate normally now and he could take any types of ki into his body without having to fear that his body would explode so now they could travel towards one of the treasures that he remembered about!
There he would have to put himself in action to see if his conjecture of the test was true or not.
