Chapter 103 - 103 Follow-up to the Shooting
103 Follow-up to the Shooting
Qiao Yu looked at the completed download of Glory on Qiao Yue’s phone and suddenly thought of something. He asked, “How are your studies? Do you want me to help you with your studies?”
Qiao Yue looked up from the phone and shook her head at him. She had only gotten 60 because she was afraid of trouble. She didn’t expect doing so would bring even more trouble.
“No, I’m fine myself.”
Qiao Yu looked at Qiao Yue suspiciously but didn’t say anything.
At this moment, someone came to the door and shouted, “Qiao Yue, Ms. Lin is asking you to go to the office.”
Sister Lin? Qiao Yue was a little surprised. Why was she looking for her?
“Yes, I’ll go now,” Seeing Qiao Yu frowning, Qiao Yue gave him a reassuring look.
In the resting room of the teacher’s office, Qiao Yue sat on a chair while playing with her phone. Sister Lin placed a cup of coffee in front of her as she said, “The incident at Hong’an Airport yesterday was quite a big deal.”
Qiao Yue looked up at her, “Does the organization know about it?”
“Almost. The hypnotist under you is a little eye-catching,” Sister Lin said as she took a sip of her coffee.
“What did the Godfather say?” Qiao Yue also picked up her coffee cup and took a sip.
“The Godfather is still in B Country so he won’t find out so soon. You sure know how to get into trouble. Was your face seen when carrying out a mission? Someone found you so quickly?” Sister Lin asked.
Qiao Yue lowered her eyes and chuckled. The shooting incident had blown up so much that she couldn’t believe it when she was told Godfather didn’t know about it. So, what was Sister Lin’s reason for saying that?
“Sister Lin, do you know about the operation to snipe Trand?” Qiao Yue asked instead of answering.
“Yeah. Everyone in the organization knows about this. Why are you suddenly asking this?” Sister Lin was confused.
“When did you find out?” Qiao Yue continued.
“When you guys were out on a mission! At that time, Chu Jia sent a message to the organization.”
Qiao Yue nodded, her fingers tapping on the sofa. She seemed to have thought of something, and her lips curled up into a playful smile.
Sister Lin’s heart was racing. She felt that Qiao Yue was trying to test something.
“I called you here to question you. How did it become you questioning me instead? Quickly tell me how you managed to escape from being followed yesterday. It was especially dangerous, wasn’t it?”
Qiao Yue raised her head and saw Sister Lin’s expression which was full of interest in gossip. She was really unleashing her gossiping instincts.
“Where’s the danger? Since I was discovered, I just killed the person who discovered me,” Qiao Yue said indifferently.
“There’s no thrilling chase or quick transformations?” Sister Lin asked suspiciously.
Qiao Yue’s face was full of helplessness, “My dear big sister, that was the airport. It was crowded and the surveillance was everywhere. The police also patrolled from time to time. Did I want to die or did the people following me want to die by playing tricks there?’
Sister Lin sneered, “But didn’t you still cause a shooting incident?”
“It’s someone else who committed the shooting and was judged as a psychopath taking revenge on society. It has nothing to do with me. If it’s like what you said about transformations and pursuits, I would’ve been involved and that would be different,” Qiao Yue slowly explained the situation.
Sister Lin rolled her eyes at Qiao Yue, “You’re such a bad kid. To think you even made a big deal out of it. I heard that the Ministry of National Defense held a meeting after the shooting. They suspect that it’s a premeditated crime by another country and it’s just an experiment this time. As such, they’re asking all the provinces to strengthen their military deployment. It’s especially difficult to go abroad now.”
“Isn’t that good? if Trand dares to make a move, we don’t have to waste any energy,” Qiao Yue smiled widely, but Sister Lin’s gaze was extremely complicated.
“Although that’s the case, it’s hard for our people to bring anything in now either.”
Qiao Yue’s smile remained, “As long as you don’t bring any prohibited items, I think it’s quite convenient to go in and out. Don’t you think so, Sister Lin? ”
Sister Lin opened her mouth, but she didn’t say anything.
“Sister Lin, if anyone in the organization wants you to tell me something, just tell them that I can’t do anything about it. Whatever they want to do, they can wait until the control over the borders is relaxed!”
After Qiao Yue finished speaking, she didn’t give sister Lin any time to answer. She simply opened the door and left, leaving sister Lin alone in the room frowning in deep thought.
