“Don’t think too much. Pull yourself together. Isn’t he just a man?! So what if he finds out?! What else can he do to you? Nothing happened to you in the past. You were just lying to him. Then, these two times, you didn’t cause any actual harm. Other than condemning you, what else can he do?!”
Since Chen Chen was probably not aware of his relationship with Hu Wan, it could not implicate him, so he was naturally not worried.
“Of course, you don’t care! But like this, I can’t marry Chen Chen at all!” Hu Wan hugged her head in pain.
“So what if you can’t marry him?! How good is Chen Chen? Is he worth you being so persistent for him?!” Shao Feng took Hu Wan’s hand away in jealousy and turned her around.
“Look at me! Am I not good enough? Am I not worth your love? We’re clearly so compatible in bed! Can’t we live together? Why are you so hung up on a man who doesn’t like you at all?!”
“Who said he doesn’t like me?! He was so good to me in the past! And you! I like you, and I also admit that we’re very compatible! But we’re only sleeping together! That’s all! There can’t be any other possibility!” Hu Wan did not listen at all and pushed Shao Feng’s hand away.
“Do you still want to lie to yourself?! If not for your illness, if not for the so-called mistake he made when he was young! Do you think he would have looked at you more?” Shao Feng was merciless.
“Also, don’t deny everything between us. Look at who else is standing beside you after you were abandoned by Chen Chen!” Shao Feng continued.
“He didn’t abandon me! He won’t abandon me either!” Hu Wan shouted. She couldn’t stand it anymore and her heart hurt.
“You…” Shao Feng still wanted to say something, but he was pushed away by Hu Wan. “Get lost!”
Chen Chen and Bai Ran drove back to their wedding home. Once they reached home, Chen Chen placed her back on the bed.
Bai Ran could not help but laugh. “I only had an accident, I didn’t just give birth to a child!”
“What’s the difference? Since you’re injured, you have to recuperate well!” Chen Chen ordered.
“What do you mean? I still have to go to work after two more days of rest!” Bai Ran said silently.
“Why?! You’re not going!” Chen Chen said as he covered Bai Ran with the blanket.
“What will I eat if I don’t go to work? Raise me!” Bai Ran looked at Chen Chen and smiled.
“Why can’t I? You’re my wife to begin with!” Chen Chen said naturally.
Bai Ran naturally retorted, “I’m not. We…”
“Huh?” Chen Chen raised a finger to his mouth and shook it. “We agreed not to talk about it today!”
“Then I’ll talk about it tomorrow!” Bai Ran turned her head to the side and pouted, pretending to be angry.
“Not tomorrow either!” Chen Chen’s tone was firm. “I’ll get you something to eat! The hospital’s food is so bad!”
With that, Chen Chen turned around and went downstairs.
Bai Ran sat on Chen Chen’s bed and touched the blanket. Her thoughts drifted out.
The last time she came here, it was Chen Chen who rushed to save her and brought her back. Today, he had saved her again.
In fact, thinking about it, although Chen Chen had always been unpredictable to her in the past and would shake her off on Hu Wan’s matters, he had never been ambiguous when it came to her life.
He was actually very good to her.
Bai Ran was touched. The last time Chen Chen touched her, what happened on this bed surfaced in her mind.
Bai Ran blushed immediately, but the corners of her mouth curled up unconsciously.
“What are you thinking about?! You’re so shy!”
Bai Ran looked up and saw Chen Chen walking over with a bowl of chicken soup.
“You’re so fast! It only took you so long to heat it up!” Bai Ran said in surprise.
“It’s just heating it up.” Chen Chen walked to Bai Ran’s bed and sat down. “I stewed this chicken this afternoon and brought a portion to see you at the hospital. In the end, when something happened to you, how could I still be in the mood to care about the chicken soup? So you couldn’t drink it! I originally wanted to come back and cook it for you again, but it was too late.. You couldn’t wait that long. The heat is just enough for you to drink it! I’ll cook it again tomorrow!”
