My Evil System

Chapter 228 Faz’nur’thoon . . . ?

As I gazed upon the lavender-skinned woman with the spider's lower half, I couldn't help but feel both intrigued and repulsed by her appearance. Her eight black obsidian eyes seemed to pierce through my very soul, while her silk-like white hair cascaded down her shoulders in waves.

Despite her monstrous appearance, she possessed a certain unearthly beauty, with her smooth lavender skin contrasting against her white spider abdomen. Her eight spider legs moved with effortless grace, each one ending in razor-sharp hooks that glinted in the dim light of the basement.

Her upper body was humanoid, with delicate, feminine features and a pair of small, pointed ears peeking out from beneath her silvery-white hair. Her face was like a child, youthful and innocent, but her lips were full and inviting. And when she spoke, her voice was cold and emotionless, like the chittering of a spider.

She was dressed in a flowing robe of deep purple, which accentuated the curves of her spider abdomen, and a necklace of glittering gems adorned her neck. As she turned to face me, her eight eyes seemed to fixate on me, studying me with a cold, calculating gaze.

Despite her alluring loli appearance, I knew that this creature was dangerous, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease in her presence. I had no idea what her intentions were or what she was capable of, but I knew that I had to be careful around her.

"Are you . . . Faz'nur'thoon?"

She nodded. "And you're . . . a player, I assume."

There was no shock or emotion on her face, so I was having a hard time reading her expression. There wasn't any surprise there, that was for sure.

"You seemed not surprised. Did you already expect me? Are you the one who was watching me?" I felt it before. Stares that I didn't know where it was coming from.

She nodded again.

A woman with few words and a lethargic face. She was the epitome of a cute poker face Lolita. I thought.

"Why haven't you alerted the old couple?" I asked though I knew the reason. I've already read it in the [Evil History Book], and I was betting on it to get the god to my side.

Faz's face darkened, and her numerous black eyes burned with anger. "As you can see . . . they chained me here, exploiting my weakened state."

The air hung heavy with tension as if carrying the weight of secrets and forbidden knowledge. Flickering torches lined the stone walls, casting elongated shadows that danced ominously across the room. In the center of the chamber, a large pentagram adorned the floor, its intricate symbols etched in glowing red lines, pulsating with otherworldly energy.

Within the pentagram stood Faz, a formidable and imposing figure. Her once ethereal beauty was marred by the chains that encircled her neck, their links thick and heavy. They seemed to emit a faint metallic creaking sound as they strained against her weakened state. Eight spider-like legs protruded from her body, their sharp, glistening tips digging into the ground.

Faz's face, an amalgamation of human and arachnid features, was a testament to the rage that burned within her. Her numerous black eyes glowed with a fit of intense anger, each one reflecting a fiery determination to break free from her chains. The room seemed to tremble under the weight of her suppressed power.

The surrounding area was devoid of life as if the very presence of Faz had banished any signs of existence. The chamber itself was sealed off from the outside world, trapped within an impenetrable barrier. It was clear that this pentagram served as a prison, designed to confine Faz and prevent anyone from entering or leaving.

"Do you want to get out?" I asked.

Faz only stared at me, scrutinizing and gouging. "I will not be tricked by another mortal again."

"But why did you just let me in then? And not report my presence to the couple?"

Faze didn't reply.

"I tell you why. Because I'm your only chance to escape this hellhole whether you like it or not."

"What do you want, mortal?" Faz said finally. Her voice was a mask like her face, never revealing anything. "Why have you come here?"

"I'm here to free you, of course, in exchange for your servitude."

For the first time, Faz's face contorted in a sneer. "That's also the offer of those couples back then. Weakened and in need of spiritual energy to heal my grave wounds, I succumb to their sweet words. And look where it leads me now?"

"Unlike those elves, I will offer you freedom," I explained. "In fact, you're not the only god I acquired as my minion. There are two others."

Faz's face registered a shock before it was quickly turned back to being impassive. "You're lying. No mortal, especially a player, could ever acquire a god as a minion."

I laughed. "Do you need proof? Too bad that I can't show you my screen right now. If you can, you will see that Little Piggy, that lazy fat boar, is enjoying his afternoon snack right now. And Yuko she . . . she's somewhere out there in Honoka Village probably enjoying booze in some tavern."

Faz looked me in the eye. "I don't know any god by the name of Little Piggy. He must be a new god. But Yuko . . . that sly fox . . . she's still alive?"

"I saved her from death. Without a territory of her own, she was as good as dead. Being my minion freed her from all the restrictions of a god. And you know what the best part is? You can keep your powers and roam the world to your heart's content. All I ask is your loyalty and servitude."

"In short, a slave."

"I don't think slaves enjoy freedom, meals, and booze," I retorted. "Or unless . . . you prefer this damp place and those chains of yours?"

". . . Mortal . . . if you're lying."

I shrugged. "Maybe I am. But what if I'm not? Let's face it . . ." I grinned at her; my words were cocksure. "I am your only chance to get out of here. You don't have a choice here but to trust me."
