Chapter 56 56. Shopping With Victoria.
Victoria looked around the mall as she thought to herself that she didn't belong in such a place. The place smelled expensive, she couldn't believe what she was doing in an expensive mall.
She watched as Kevin led her to one of the boutiques in the mall.
He then found a sales clerk and said, "Hello, we would like to do some shopping. Give this lady over here everything she wants and don't miss a thing."
Victoria's eyes bulged and she felt her heart beating heavily. Of all the malls in Ruby City, this mall was the most expensive and Kevin wanted her to buy whatever she wanted?
The clerk's eyes sparkled as she thought to herself. 'Super rich customers?'
'I'm gonna do my best!!'
'Smile, Linda, smile like your life depends on it!!' She chanted inwardly.
She smiled and escorted Dahlia away.
"Follow me, Miss, we wouldn't want to keep your boyfriend waiting."
Victoria's ears turned red just hearing the clerk refer to her as Kevin's girlfriend.
Although she was five years older than Kevin, her appearance and body structure made her look years younger.
Victoria took one last look behind and could see one of Kevin's hands tucked into his pocket, while he waved her goodbye with his other hand and a smile on his face.
The clerk handed her a few clothes she may like, but Victoria tentatively held them and hesitated to even try them on. At first, she had been uncomfortable about trying them on, but Kevin later noticed her relaxing.
She returned with four shopping bags and Kevin paid for the clothes, left them with the clerk and took her to the next store.
The next store was a jewelry store and Kevin gave the same direction. Soon Victoria was smiling, giggling and trying on many pieces of jewellery.
At some point, she brazenly asked Kevin for his opinion and he slowly found himself being dragged into her shopping as well.
And that was how the day went. Shoes, bags, makeup, everything that she needed and which would make her smile was bought and Kevin didn't bother thinking twice about it.
Once they were done with the shopping, Kevin drove her off to a spa where they had a couples package, allowing them to get a massage together.
Victoria also had her facials, hair care, manicures and pedicures done in the salon before Kevin drove her to their final destination.
This time it was a restaurant near the upper part of Ruby City, where the big men dined.
It was called the Titan.
The Titan was the largest restaurant in Ruby City, boasting a magnificent four floors from the ground up.
The first floor was meant for the common folks and even the food there was really expensive. A single meal cost hundreds of dollars.
But as one ascended higher on the floors, their pocket would begin to cry like a newborn baby.
The second floor's meals were between one to five thousand dollars.
The third floor didn't have any meals below five thousand dollars, and the last floor required customers to spend at the very least, ten thousand dollars.
Kevin walked into the restaurant with Victoria, but she immediately became self-conscious as many of the people on the first floor couldn't take their eyes off the wonderful couple.
"Who is he? Have you ever seen him around here before?" The diners began whispering loudly.
"Maybe he's the son of a politician."
"But look at the woman he's walking with."
"I Know right? She's drop-dead gorgeous."
Hearing the whispers around her, Victoria gripped Kevin's arm tighter while leaning closer and sandwiching his arm between her boobs.
"Do we really have to be here?" She muttered so that only Kevin could hear her voice.
"This will be the norm for you now. You will soon adapt to it," He replied as they approached the receptionist.
Victoria blushed, as she couldn't help but notice the eyes of the women on the first floor staring at her black, elegant, backless, long halter dress which swept across the floor as she walked right beside Kevin.
Meanwhile, Kevin was dressed in a formal black suit.
The receptionist's expression had disdain written all over it. She was used to seeing many young masters bring in different ladies every night to the restaurant.
Just because they were rich, didn't mean they had to squander the money their parents indulged them in. At least, one of them should notice her as well.
Was that too much to ask!!!!
Her annoyed look instantly turned into a smile as she greeted them. "Good evening sir. How may I help you? If you want a reservation on the second or third floor, you will have to wait for the next three months, I'm sorry, but we're heavily booked."
Most young masters like him always liked to show off to the women they brought by booking the second floor, only the very rich ones were able to afford the third floor.
If anyone requested to go to the fourth floor, they could only be one of the top fifty rich families in the City.
A smile appeared on Kevin's face as he brought out a black card. "No worries, I would like a table for two on the fourth floor then. Can you manage that at least, or do I need to call someone who can?"
The receptionist froze on the spot. He was holding up a black card, a business card only the big shots of the City possessed.
Kevin returned the card to his pocket with a smile on his face.
The receptionist couldn't believe her terrible luck. She had just acted rudely in front of someone so important.
But just before she could open her mouth to seek forgiveness from him for her rudeness and her inability to recognize that she was in the presence of such a big shot, a voice emerged from behind Kevin.
A man around the age of fifty instantly recognized the card Kevin was holding and took it upon himself to speak up to Kevin.
"Forgive me, Young master, it's been years since you last visited, my memories aren't as they used to be, or else I would have personally welcomed you."
Kevin turned around and saw a face he hadn't seen in years. "Alvin."
