Chapter 231 231. Meeting Mom 3.
And with their minds now made up, Kevin and the bald man inhaled and exhaled deeply before dashing towards each other, ready to battle once again but an unknown and familiar voice sounded in both Cratos and Kevin's head simultaneously.
"Cratos!! Will you stop this nonsense at once!! Do you want to kill our son?!"
Hearing that, both Kevin and Cratos halted in their movement and turned towards the direction of the source of the voice.
From a distance, they could hear an approaching footsteps of a woman reverberating and drawing closer to the direction they stood.
Ares and his sons slowly tiptoed backwards, knowing full well who was approaching towards their way.
And with the way the voice sounded just now, it doesn't looks like she's in a pretty good mood at the moment.
The footsteps drew closer and a woman dressed in a plain white dress appeared before Kevin and Cratos.
Her beautiful blond hair cascaded down to her waist and though her dress was just a plain one, the bountiful size of her assets made her appear even more stunning.
Her facial expression was currently of a mother who was infuriated at the outcome of what had occurred when her son unwittingly visited his parents after what seems like an eternity since they last saw each other again in one place.
Lucy couldn't believe she allowed Cratos to handle things on his own.
A few minutes ago, she sensed the presence of her son in the underworld and Lucy rushed towards the direction she sensed her son.
It's been years since she last saw her son and Lucy had a lot she wanted to tell him.
When she arrived, she noticed Cratos speaking to his son and although she wanted to rush towards her son to wrap her arms around him, Lucy noticed the expression on their faces and so decided, to eaves drop on their conversation.
While listening, Lucy's heart skipped a bit when she noticed the both of them wanting to spar together.
At first, it touched her heart to see her son training with his father again just like it used to be before they got separated.
But the next words Cratos uttered out took her by surprise.
"Oh, I almost forgot. If you die here, there's no way you'll be able to return to the mortal world,"
'What?!' Lucy exclaimed internally.
'They're fighting to the death?' She wondered with confusion vividly displayed across her face.
Although Lucy could sense the seriousness of Cratos words, still she knew deep down that Cratos would never hurt his own son.....right??
However, the more they clashed with each other, the more intense their battles seemed to escalate with no end in sight.
And when Lucy noticed this, she decided to cut in before either one of them ended up killing the other.
" What is wrong with you??"
"What the hell is going on here?" Lucy blurted out in rage.
"L-Lucy?" Cratos was taken aback by her sudden outburst of emotion and he could perfectly understand the reason why she was mad at him.
"I- I can explain," Cratos tried to give a meaningful explanation that could aid him from the predicament he currently found himself in but Lucy wasn't in the mood to listen to any of his excuses..
"Zip it," she said and Cratos obeyed like a cute little puppy.
Initially, Cratos just wanted to have a little bit of fun with his son after not seeing him for centuries and he was also interested in experiencing just how strong his son was, however, he never thought their battle would become even more intense as the minute went by.
And now, knowing that there was no excuse he could come up with to save him from the mistake he did, Cratos rubbed the back of his head while laughing, hoping Lucy would loosen up a bit.
And it worked.
Lucy exhaled a breath of fresh air, cooling her mind and senses from the annoyed memories she experienced.
She slowly turned her head to Kevin's direction to see him a bit confused by all this.
Kevin still couldn't believe the fact that the woman he had been trying so hard to find for so long to actually be in the underworld.
Lucy has been hiding in the underworld for so long , away from the ones who had been searching for her in the human world.
Lucy noticed Kevin had a lot to say but might not really know exactly where to start from.
"Kevin?" She called his name.
Kevin lifted his head up to see his mother smiling towards him as she slowly approaches him.
She was also in conflict of herself to decide if she should begin to explain everything to Kevin or to hug and feel his warmth once again after so long.
When Lucy approached Kevin, she raised her hands to cup Kevin's cheeks but tears slowly began to stream down her cheeks as the memories of them in the past flowed back into her mind once again.
Kevin raised his arms as well to feel his mother's hand on his cheek.
Seeing this, a smile bloomed on Lucy's face. "I know you have a lot of questions you want to ask me but I can't provide you an answer yet,"
Hearing this, Kevin's forehead creased. "Why is that?" He asked, then Ares and his sons footsteps could be heard approaching towards their direction.
"This is bad," Ares spoke out first.
"What happened?"
"The guardian of the underworld knows the prince is here. You have to send him back now and besides, he shouldn't be here for too long,"
"Why is that?" Kevin asked.
"Because if you do not return now. You'll be stuck here for eternity with the rest of us,"
