Chapter 9: 5 Million Years
Just like this, Su Hao passed his days studying, eating, and sleeping.
His understanding towards life deepened every day, and he understood a lot of life and understood how fragile it was.
What he had analyzed was life itself contained many miracles that could not be explained precisely by science. He even specifically looked for many Taoist collection, Buddhist scriptures, and traditional medicine theories as reference, wanting to understand how the ancient sages saw life, how they viewed the miracle of life.
They brought up a concept that puzzled Su Hao.
“Heart force”!
Heart force was transformative and mysterious. The important part though was that heart force could create miracles.
But what was heart force? Some said it was the strength that came from a person’s thinking ability. Some said it was a person’s faith. Some said it was a person’s inner desire. Some said it was the yearning for life. Some said it was the fighting spirit that never backed down in the face of difficulties… It was even said that life and death, only oneself could decide. Heart force pointing towards life could let a person live 100 years. Heart force point towards death could cause 100 illnesses.
These phenomena existed in reality, but science could not explain it at this time. Presumably, as humanity continued forward to explore, they would eventually arrive at an answer.
So Su Hao created another topic in “Cosmic Light” – Heart Studies. He put the ancient sages thoughts on life, consciousness, and soul into it for a time in the future to focus on researching it.
At the same time, his body was getting thinner by the day. His face was sunken and only the light in his eyes were still bright.
He knew that he didn’t have much time remaining in this world.
Thinking back to his life over these years, he didn’t have any regrets. He had gotten everything he wanted. The only thing he was sorry about was there were still so many things to learn and he still hadn’t reached adulthood and he never got to meet the promised beauties.
During his treatment, his body went through much pain, personally experiencing the torture and helplessness of a cancer patient. On the one hand, there was hope for life, belief a miracle would happen. On the other hand, the pain was unbearable and there was hope for release
Who didn’t want to live happily? But there were some with the view that the purpose of human existence was suffering. Perhaps life was about finding hope in the midst of destruction.
This point was unknowable. Although Su Hao was in pain, he had no thoughts of ending himself. The first reason was because of the hope his parents had. The second was that he wanted to observe the whole transformation process from the sickness to the end, believing this kind of information would be usable one day in the future.
No matter what Su Hao was thinking, no matter how much his parents held on, that day would always come.
Su Hao’s parents asked him over and and over: “Little Hui, is there anything else you want?”
Before death, Su Han smiled with some difficulty: “Thank you mom. Thank you dad.”
At this time Luo Chaoxin came over and looked at his dear older brother expectantly.
Su Hao laughed and ignored him. He faced his parents and said: “Goodbye!”
If he closed his eyes, he would never meet them again.
Inwardly he said: “Sorry. I’ve stood in as your child and wasn’t able to accompany you till your old age. Luo Chaoxin, take good care of your parents.”
Following that, with a heartrending cry, Su Hao’s consciousness once again returned to darkness.
“The genius dies, age 16, a pity”
“”Humanity’s 50 years void of brilliant culture”
“The number one genius of the past thousand years, Luo Chaohui’s life”
“This century’s brightest shining meteor may have been short-lived but will be remembered for a thousand years”
“Does anyone know the name of the missing novel mentioned by Master Luo Zhaohui?”
On that day, the whole world was either very sad or very happy. How they felt about Su Hao, he would never know.
……
Su Hao’s consciousness gradually recovered. He discovered that he had become a 2 year old boy and was currently being straddled on the neck of a tall and strong man and his hands were holding onto the man’s head for dear life, afraid of accidentally falling to the ground.
Although he was mentally prepared, he was still a bit reluctant. In the last world, he was just about to become successful and famous, and he didn’t feel like he had played enough.
Now great. He had to start over again and he had become a fragile little boy unable to defend himself.
From the previous world’s loss of consciousness to now where he recovered consciousness, Su Hao hadn’t felt like much time had passed. It was as if he had taken a pleasant nap. Once he woke up, the aches and sickness all disappeared and his body became incomparably light and full of vitality. Although his hands and feet were short and lacked strength, he thoroughly enjoyed this feeling of not being in torturous pain.
When Su Hao awakened, he found this man was bringing him along a road. The man was dressed in tattered armor, and his hands held onto a blade and a shield. Seeing that there was no immediate danger, Su Hao relaxed and his consciousness entered the marble room and began to look through the logs.
As his consciousness entered the marble room, Su Hao was shocked.
It wasn’t because the marble room had changed appearance. The marble room still looked like a living room. What caused him the shock was the clock. The time it displayed gave him a deep sense of dread.
“1,532,648 years 3 months 25 days 3 hours 3 minutes 21 seconds”
Just a single nap and 1.5 million years passed by. How ridiculous of a time span was that? It surpassed Su Hao’s imagination. On Earth, human civilization had only begun five thousand years ago.
Each time he woke up, everything in the past most likely would have been wiped out. Any grievances, any achievements would all have disappeared. The wealth he accumulated, the pride from China’s name, the world-wide acclaim, the so-called celebrity of the ages, facing the present, was all meaningless.
The only thing left behind was the information lying quietly within the marble room. Everything that happened was recorded inside and only this knowledge made the previous world seem real.
“Information?” Su Hao murmured.
That’s right. He suddenly understood that information was the most important thing. To put it simply, it was knowledge. For life, knowledge was the most important thing. Everything he ever learned was truly stored. This knowledge was the accumulated treasure of all of civilization over countless year.
He continued to go forward and look through the logs.
“3 years 5 months 7 days 0 hours 0 minutes 0 seconds
Entered an unknown galaxy, automatically added a comparison, comparison successful, coordinates recorded;”
……
“5 years 2 months 4 days 0 hours 0 minutes 0 seconds
Entered an unknown galaxy, automatically added a comparison, comparison successful, coordinates recorded;”
……
“100 years 9 months 12 days 0 hours 0 minutes 0 seconds
Entered an unknown galaxy, automatically added a comparison, comparison successful, coordinates recorded;”
……
“359 years 1 months 18 days 0 hours 0 minutes 0 seconds
Entered an unknown galaxy, received heavy suction from heavy stars, a change in direction occurred, automatically added a comparison, comparison successful, coordinates recorded;”
……
“1,526 years 8 months 25 days 0 hours 0 minutes 0 seconds
Entered an unknown galaxy, received interference from cosmic magnetic effects, a change in direction occurred. Automatically added a comparison, comparison failed, building new star map, build successful;”
……
He jumped to the most recent log.
“1,532,648 years 3 months 24 days 0 hours 0 minutes 0 seconds
Entering an unknown galaxy, discovered abnormal gravity, gravity locked, unable to move. Automatically adding comparison, comparison failed, building new star map, build successful;”
This log was the newest from three hours ago. That meant the marble room had successfully landed on the boy’s body three hours ago.
While Su Hao checked, he also considered that this “Cosmic Light” system still wasn’t perfect enough. It was unable to record more information about the wandering process. That needed to be patched.
In the future, he could use the star maps as reference and know where he was located in the universe.
“A cosmic space coordinate system is missing.”
