Chapter 464 Remains Of Ancient Civilization
Chapter 464 Remains Of Ancient Civilization
The following morning, Yuan and his wives woke up early, much earlier than everyone else. After getting out of the tent, Anna quickly began preparing breakfast for everyone in the family. She asked Rose and Leah to help her prepare some other dishes, and they assisted with smiles on their faces.
While Anna, Rose, and Leah prepared breakfast, Yuan decided to walk around the camp for a while until breakfast was ready, which would take more than twenty minutes.
Seeing Yuan leaving, Mireya suddenly got up from her seat and asked, "Are you going to take a walk around the camp? Should I join you?"
"Indeed. I'm thinking about taking a walk and visiting the infirmary to see how everything is inside, since staying here for a longer period is not good for us," Yuan replied, turning around. Then he smiled and said, "If you want, you can tag along with me."
"I'd also like to come along," Valeria suddenly shouted as she got up from her seat and ran toward him.
"Sure," Yuan smiled at her and shook his head.
"You guys should come back quickly for breakfast; I won't be going to find you," Anna said, seeing them leaving.
"I'll keep that in mind," Yuan shouted back and continued moving forward.
After a few moments of walking, Yuan, Mireya, and Valeria arrived at the infirmary where the injured people were being treated.
A few medical experts were keeping an eye on them 24/7, as some people were suffering from life-threatening injuries and needed more medical attention.
"Let's go in," Valeria said before entering.
Yuan and Mireya nodded and followed her inside. Upon entering the infirmary, they noticed that the people were starting to get up and were about to head outside to train their bodies.
The patients had been constantly monitored and treated by medical experts and healers, so now their condition was much better than yesterday, and they could walk on their own accord.
"W-War General Valeria…" a person muttered loudly, noticing Valeria, Yuan, and Mireya entering the infirmary.
"What?!" Everyone quickly turned their heads toward the entrance and saw Yuan, Valeria, and Mireya standing there, looking at them with a calculative gaze.
"What is someone like them doing here? And so early in the morning?"
"I'm not sure… but from the look on their faces, they must have come here to inspect the situation."
The patients' murmurs began to fill the air inside the infirmary, making the healers and medical experts rush to the scene as if their lives were in danger.
"Mr. Yuan, War General Valeria, and Lady Mireya, what brings you all here so early in the morning? Do you have any instructions for us?" one of the healers asked, his voice trembling with nervousness before their extraordinary presence.
Seeing their nervousness, Valeria and Yuan couldn't help but shake their heads with awkward smiles.
"Don't be nervous, calm down. We're not here to cause any trouble," Valeria said, releasing a sigh. "We just want to check if the patients are in condition to move around without any problems and have enough strength to save themselves."
"Is that so... Well, thanks to His Majesty, all the patients have recovered now and can do various activities without any problem," one of the healers said, sighing in relief.
"Well, I heard that King Richard is providing high-grade healing potions to all the patients who were seriously injured. No wonder they all recovered so quickly," Mireya muttered in a low voice, which was barely audible to the others.
"Since everyone has recovered, we'll take our leave now. Remember to wake up the others. We will continue our mission from today, so I want everyone ready to move out," Valeria said, and a moment later, turned around to leave.
"Of course, we understand," the healers and medical experts nodded before Yuan and his wives left the infirmary.
After that, Yuan, Valeria, and Mireya returned to their tent as it was time for them to have their breakfast and dismantle their tent. As soon as they returned, Emma began serving food to everyone in the family without wasting a single moment, and after that, they all had breakfast together.
Once they finished their breakfast, Yuan began to dismantle the tent and store it inside his system storage, while Anna cleaned and stored her cooking utensils inside her spatial ring. After putting out the fire, they were ready to move out.
Yuan then turned to look at his wives and said, "Let's go. King Richard and the others are waiting for us."
"Let's go then," his wives nodded and followed him.
Meanwhile, King Richard was having a meeting with the representatives of the other nations, discussing their next move now that everyone had recovered from their injuries.
"So, are we going to resume our mission today?" Holy Son Arthur asked with a lazy expression on his face, as if this mission wasn't important to him.
King Richard nodded and said, "Yes, all of the injured people have recovered now. Delaying any further would put us in a lot of trouble."
"Indeed. Since everyone has recovered, we should finish our mission and head back home," Archmage Eldrick agreed.
"I share the same opinion. Besides, there are monsters we cannot mess with. It's better for us to leave them as they are and avoid those beings at all costs," Daniel added with a serious look on his face.
King Richard nodded. "Indeed. We already have a much bigger trouble to deal with. We can't invite more."
"Indeed. We better quickly locate the place where the corrupted beings are multiplying or originating from, and destroy them completely," Daniel spoke with a very serious expression on his face.
"I don't know what will happen to us once we find the place we're searching for. There may be thousands of corrupted monsters waiting for us," Archmage Isadora said a moment later with a sigh.
"Oh, everyone is here. This is great, it will save us some time."
As they were discussing the details of the mission, they suddenly heard Yuan's voice from behind, making them immediately turn their heads.
"Ah, Yuan and everyone else, what brings you here so early in the morning? Is something the matter?" King Richard immediately rose from his seat and asked.
'Tsk! Why the hell is this bastard and his women here? They ruined my good day with their disgusting presence,' Arthur grumbled inwardly with an irritated look on his face.
Yuan noticed the odd look on Arthur's face but ignored him and said, "Well, we've come here just to inform you all that, from here on, I'll be the one leading everyone toward the mission area."
"What?!"
Everyone was shocked upon hearing this and looked at him with curiosity, wondering why he decided to lead them now. Did he discover the location of those vile creatures?
'This bastard! Who does he think he is? How dare he think of becoming the leader? I hate this bastard!' Arthur's face turned pale upon hearing this, and his expression slowly started to become furious as he looked at Yuan.
"Yuan, are you sure that you want to lead us? Did you discover something?" Archmage Isadora decided to ask, trying to end her curiosity as a lot of questions popped into her head.
Yuan merely smiled at her. "You could say that. Thus, I've decided to lead everyone straight to the location and verify it."
"I see…"
After that, King Richard and the representatives from the other nations, except for Arthur, exchanged glances with each other for a moment and nodded. Then King Richard returned his gaze to Yuan.
"In that case, we will leave everything to you," King Richard said, releasing a deep sigh.
"Good. From now on, everyone must follow my orders."
After that, they all headed outside where the other people had gathered in one place after packing everything and cleaning the area.
Upon arriving there, King Richard quickly made an announcement, informing everyone that from now on, Yuan would be the one leading them and that they had to follow his orders.
Some people were happy after hearing this and some were not, but most were pleased about Yuan leading them to victory as they had all witnessed his greatness and were very thankful for him.
A few minutes later, they all left the camping area and headed toward the southwest part of the forest under Yuan's guidance, everyone following his lead.
Arthur had an ugly expression on his face as he was very unhappy following Yuan's lead. He considered Yuan his archenemy and felt like going separately; unfortunately, he couldn't do that.
'This is the most humiliating moment of my entire life…' he thought and sighed inwardly.
Not only Arthur, but the Holy Knights also felt humiliated by following someone hated by the Holy Son. However, in this situation, they had no other choice but to follow Yuan and his group.
Meanwhile, Yuan ignored the displeased looks on Arthur and his goons' faces and led everyone toward the southwest part of the forest without any delay, which made veins pop out on Arthur's face.
As they made their way to the southwest part of the forest, they encountered numerous powerful monsters, but all of them were magical monsters and posed no threat to Yuan and his wives.
Before those magical monsters could take any action, Lily would quickly freeze them to death, which left many people dumbfounded.
"I can't believe she took care of them so effortlessly!"
"This is unbelievable…just how strong is she really?"
People began to whisper among themselves as they continued moving forward. Although they had witnessed her unparalleled strength before, they still couldn't help but be amazed by her prowess.
Sometime later, they arrived before the old, broken structures of an ancient civilization—an old ruin, to be exact. Everyone was shocked to find remains of human civilization in a place like this; it was almost unbelievable.
