Chapter 445 A Good Job!

Chapter 445 A Good Job!

"We have no use for that crystal, and because you're now our sister, you're free to keep it or sell it to someone," Lily responded calmly as if the mana crystal had no worth in her eyes and was just a piece of garbage.

"What?! Can I even sell this thing?!" Sylvia shouted in shock, clutching the mana crystal in her shaky hands and looking at Yuan and Lily with bewilderment.

"That's correct, you may do whatever you want with that mana crystal; it's yours now," Yuan spoke into her ears and hugged her waist from behind, causing her to rest against his chest with a sweet smile on her face.

Mireya felt envious of the scenario and remarked, in an annoying voice, "Sylvia, if you really don't want that magic stone, I'll take it and keep it for myself; I have a number of uses for that crystal."

"No! It is now mine, so I own it. You cannot take it." Sylvia moved fast and placed the mana crystal in her magic pouch, gazing angrily at Mireya and pouting.

'This is...'I never imagined Sylvia would dare to act like this in front of me; how entertaining! After getting a husband, the Sylvia I know has changed.' Mireya gave Sylvia a shocked glance and smiled within.

Sylvia used to be quite professional and reserved about her work as her secretary, with little emotion on her face and a strong work ethic.

But now that Mireya saw the changes in Sylvia's temperament, she felt joyful and like an older sister tormenting her younger sister, who has a pampered disposition.

Yuan swiftly kissed Sylvia on the cheeks, causing her to smile softly in contentment, before approaching Mireya and pulling her into his hug.

"Don't be jealous; I will give you the next mana crystal." He spoke into her ears, eliciting a smile on her face.

"If you break your promise to me, you must recompense me in some other way..." Mireya replied with a seductive tone, softly licking her lips; nonetheless, she was so ashamed that she looked away meekly.

Yuan quietly giggled and let go of her waist, then gazed at Lily with an amused expression. "I never expected you to save those mortals; that wasn't like you at all. But I'm happy to see how capable you've gotten."

"Of course, I'm a genius after all, and destroying a monster of that caliber comes naturally to me," Lily stated confidently and arrogantly. "Besides, I don't save those weaklings; letting them face that nasty monster would be a waste of time."

"I must act immediately to defeat the monster. Don't you think I did a nice job?" Lily grinned and stared at Yuan with expectancy as if she expected something from him.

"You truly did a terrific job. It saves us a lot of time." Yuan, sensing what she wanted from him, grinned and drew her into his embrace before kissing her forehead.

Lily's face immediately lit up with a delicate and charming grin as she giggled quietly, making Anna and Grace smile back.

Meanwhile, Aurther clenched his fists hard in fury as he watched the passionate session between Yuan and his wives; also, Lily's earlier statements irritated him considerably.

'Damn that bitch! Who does she think she is to look down on me, the Holy Son of the Holy Church of Light and Justice? I'll make her scream beneath me!' Aurther feverishly mused inside. Aurther felt as if Lily's words were directly directed at him, which fuelled his rage.

At the same time, King Richard and Crown Prince Daniel, as well as representatives from the other nations, were perplexed by Lily's statements, which made them feel embarrassed about their inability to defeat the monster.

Unlike the others, Crown Prince Daniel and King Richard received Lily's remarks positively, understanding their own flaws, which is why they were chastised by a young woman like Lily.

'She has every right to criticize us for being so weak. Even I, the Crown Prince of one of the continent's most powerful empires, could not even injure the monster; I am extremely weak. Very weak!' Daniel moaned silently and dropped his head, ashamed that he couldn't stop the monster.

King Richard glanced at Lily with a serious expression on his face, sweat trickling down his brow, and thought, "Even though I am the King of a nation, I am too weak to battle against that monster."

And yet, the woman, Lily, defeated such a fearsome monster so simply, as if she crushed a bug with her shoes.

"She is on a whole different level compared to us. How terrifying." If she has that kind of strength, what about Yuan? King Richard swallowed anxiously, not wanting to imagine how strong Yuan was in comparison to his ladies.

As his eyes met Yuan's, his expression got more intense, his body stiffened, and his body appeared to stop listening to him; an unknown terror emerged from the depths of his heart, and he gulped anxiously.

He then glanced at his son with a concerned and anxious expression on his face, which perplexed Tristan about his father's unexpected behavior.

'What is wrong with father? Why does he suddenly look anxious?' Tristran pondered deeply, as if confused.

King Richard then sighed and stated, "Son, we must never tamper with these people, particularly Yuan. He is on a whole other level, not to mention his odd and mysterious skills."

"I am afraid that if we disturb their tranquility and make them furious, our entire kingdom will be devastated, and we will be unable to defend our country against him." King Rochard's voice becomes solemn and filled with concern.

"I-I understand, Father," Tristan replied after some thinking. "Yuan is a very scary being."

"It's excellent that you understand," King Richard grinned, adding, "Try to create a strong connection with him, which will tremendously benefit our nation; possibly befriending him can lead to our nation becoming one of the finest nations inside the Lionheart Empire."

"Naturally, Father." Prince Tristan nodded, realizing his father's goal.

Since there was no point in remaining in this location, everyone continued to march forward, navigating through the dense miasma while using mana skin to protect themselves from it.

As they moved deeper into the miasma, following the direction of the magic compass, the miasma became thicker, making it more difficult to travel securely.

They simply followed the course indicated by the magic compass, unaware of the peril that lay ahead of them. Fortunately for them, the magic compass has not yet malfunctioned, which is a big plus.

Crown Prince Daniel saw that Yuan and his wives, with the exception of his aunt, Mireya, and Sylvia, were not wearing mana skin or any type of protective enchantment, and they appeared to be in good health despite being entirely exposed to the miasma.

'How could they appear fine when the miasma was touching their bodies? Furthermore, they appear relaxed while knowing how hazardous the miasma is to human bodies.' Daniel appeared shocked, as if in disbelief.

He couldn't understand how Yuan and his wives were fine despite being exposed to the miasma; miasma is extremely detrimental to human beings.

He then exhaled. 'They have numerous odd skills that we do not understand; this must be one of them. I shouldn't be surprised anymore.'

A few hours later, after several hours of regularly utilizing their mana skin, their mana reserve began to run low, so they hurriedly took out their mana-replenishing potion to replenish it.

Once they recovered their mana, they proceeded to march forward; lingering in one spot in the miasma was extremely perilous for them, and they didn't have a limitless mana-

replenishing potion on hand.

They must travel as far as possible after recharging their mana using a mana-replenishing potion, while also defending themselves from powerful creatures.

Fortunately, they have not yet encountered a single Corrupted monster, which is exceedingly fortunate; but, it is also a portent of death because it is too coincidental.

After several hours of trekking through the deep miasma, everyone was fatigued from the effort.

However, because they cannot rest inside the miasma and replace their energy, they must find a different means to regain their stamina and strength.

"Everyone! Use your stamina recovery potion to replenish your stamina; we can't rest inside the miasma. It is too perilous for us to spend a single minute in one location." King Richard exclaimed before swallowing a stamina recovery potion for himself.

Everyone got out their potions and drank them right away. They even fed potions to their horses, who were likewise fatigued. When they regained their stamina, they started moving ahead, aiming to cross the miasma as quickly as possible.

A few hours later, Yuan saw that Leah appeared fatigued after strolling for several hours with her low-level cultivation.

He instantly withdrew his blade from the system storage.

'Did he see any monsters nearby? But why can't I sense it?' Anna thought and looked at Yuan, perplexed.

"Yuan, did you see any monsters nearby?" Grace inquired before Anna could open her mouth to respond.

Yuan shook his head and said, "No. There are no monsters nearby."

Then he continued, staring at Leah. "Leah appears to be fatigued after traveling for several hours, so I've decided to have her rest on my sword and relax for a while."

"Wouldn't it be tough for you to keep the flying sword for numerous hours?" Grace inquired, her voice filled with concern.

"Don't worry, Mom. I can handle the flying sword for ten hours without tiring." Yuan responded with a serene smile that reassured her.
