My Buildings Mutated

Chapter 26

Chapter 26: Dancing Together

A week later, Smith went inside the tunnel to initiate the preparation of attributes for the tunnel.

“System, start creating attributes.”

“Perfect-grade tunnel construction completed, creating attributes… creating completed, tunnel attributes are as follows…”

“Sturdy earthquake resistance + 30, Safety + 15, Night of a hundred ghosts + 30.”

Night of a hundred ghosts?

What kind of strange attribute was this?

“System, modify the last attribute.”

After seeing the last attribute, Smith felt a chill down his spine and immediately ordered the system to modify the attribute.

“Attribute modification completed. The newly generated attribute is Smell chicken, start dancing + 35.”

Smith did not understand the attribute.

In the past, when the system generated an attribute, even if it had no effect, Smith could roughly guess what the attribute was.

For this attribute, however, even if Smith thought about it for a long time, he still could not come up with a reason for the attribute.

Its literal meaning was that when you smell a chicken, you would get up and dance.

However, the subway did not allow poultry.

Therefore, the attribute was completely useless.

“Forget it, let’s just leave it at that.”

Smith could not figure it out. He decided to not think about it.

In any case, it would be fine so long as there were no obvious negative effects.

If it was the night of a hundred ghosts attribute, who would dare to stick around?

The next day, Smith handed over the completed project.

He asked the city to inspect and accept the project.

As usual, there were no issues with the inspection or acceptance.

Although the sturdiness of the tunnel was not as good as the transfer housing estate, it could not be destroyed easily either.

Therefore, there was no need to consider acceptance.

Three days later, Smith received the funding. He was rich.

As long as the first phase of the transfer housing estate was completed, he would have the money to buy land and develop commercial housing.

Everything went smoothly.

Time passed by. In the blink of an eye, half a year had passed.

In half a month, the transfer housing estate had been built.

In another half a month’s time, the first phase of the transfer housing estate would be completed.

On that day, Smith was in the office playing games.

Suddenly, he received a phone call from George.

Smith initially thought there was a big matter, but George just wanted him to take the subway Line 9 with him.

Line 9 would allow them to pass through the river tunnel.

Smith took Eve as usual and asked Barrett to drive.

They arrived at Line 9 of the subway.

They found George and saw a few other people with him. They chatted.

They then got on the train.

On the train, Eve was secretly observing Smith’s expression.

After all, it was a project that had been built by Smith. Even a simple toilet that he built previously had a strange effect on the community.

Therefore, this time, they invited Smith to try out the subway.

They wanted to see Smith’s reactions.

Unfortunately, Smith did not show any expression whilst on the subway. Instead, he just took out his phone and scrolled through Twitter.

There’s nothing wrong with this tunnel?”

Eve thought in her heart.

After the trial, Smith left.

The investigators also investigated the crew. However, they all seemed normal. They did not react in a strange manner. Therefore, the investigators did not investigate any further. They could not be bothered to waste their energy.

After receiving the summary of the investigation, the lead investigator nodded in satisfaction.

“Looks like this kid still knows what’s important and what’s not. He knows that the subway tunnel is a livelihood project, so he did not make any mistakes. Not bad.”

The investigator did a few more tests in the evening. After confirming that there were indeed no problems in the tunnel, he got the subway Line 9 to start operating.

The next day arrived.

“I slept so well this time.”

Dahler woke up naturally at 7:30 am.

He was a programmer. It was painful for him to wake up early to go to work every day.

It was very easy to be late for the bus. Plus, he had to wake up extra early for the commuter bus.

It was too uncomfortable, especially for a programmer.

Nevertheless, as Line 9 was fully operational, he could just head down and take the subway to work.

He no longer had to get up early to catch the train.

After breakfast, he went to the subway station and waited for the subway.

While waiting for the train, he suddenly saw a familiar person.

If it was not for his good memory, most people would not be able to remember.

After all, there was a huge difference when someone was wearing clothes and when they were not.

Besides, who would stare at someone’s face if they were naked?

That is right. This was the woman that Dahler had met when he went to the red light district.

This time, however, she had on a lot of clothes.

At first glance, Dahler almost did not recognize her.

If she was not the most beautiful person around, Dahler would not have been able to remember her.

Soon, the train arrived.

Dahler entered the train behind her. He looked at her back whilst he recalled the night he spent with her.

After all, they were familiar with each other. Dahler stood beside the woman.

Unfortunately, she had many customers. He was a little disappointed when she did not recognize him.

The train then started moving.

There was air flowing through the train. Dahler smelled the woman’s perfume.

It smelled so good.

Dahler recalled the night that they spent together while smelling her perfume.

Shortly afterward, the subway reached the underwater tunnel.

Right at that moment, Dahler suddenly felt like he should do something.

But what should he do?

Dance, of course!

Nothing was better than dancing.

In an instant, Dahler jumped up.

Although he could not dance, he still chose to dance.

It was not only Dahler who danced but everyone on the train. They all joined in after smelling the woman’s perfume.

They all started to dance.

The people on the next train were shocked.

What was going on?

This was a subway, not a bar.

It was morning, not night.

Why did they start to dance?

Those who did not smell the woman’s perfume took out their phones and started recording.

These kinds of videos would definitely become popular!

Soon, the train left the underwater tunnel.

Those who were dancing and shaking their heads a second ago, froze in place.

Who am I?

Where am I?

What did I just do?
