Chapter 252: Return of the sun god, Kaido
Chapter 252: Return of the sun god, Kaido
Belize, ancestor of the shadow dragon had awakened and has completely recovered?
Does the shadow dragon clan now have a demigod realm expert backing them?
This will be a major blow to the other clans!
But how did he get to recover so soon?
The power of faith it gathered from its feeble clan members should not have been enough to heal its injuries!
They were expecting him to die a century or so from now, so how did everything end up this way?
It must be him!
Igneel couldn't help but look at Derik coldly. He believed that everything happening right now is because of this god of death residing in the body of a human and helping their enemy.
"Who are you?" Igneel asked again but this time he spoke those words slowly and in a cold manner, leaving Derik stunned.
Even in this situation where he is surrounded by powerful enemies the dragon kid didn't flatter or lose hope. The worse his situation, the more determined he became! This is a rare quality.
Derik wanted to talk but he noticed a transmitter crystal on the forehead of Igneel. This explains why Igneel was asking so many questions! The people are already watching! They have seen everything that happened so Derik had no reason to send Igneel back, he can just kill him directly and revive Kaido! There is no need for him to go through all the stress of letting Igneel go and searching fot him in the future.
"I am Derik Angus, the true god of death... I came here all the way from the central continent to make things right... And for all those watching... Your forces will get to the central continent, your gods will descend! They will fight but they will all lose! Every single one of them will lose their lives to me, just like little Igneel over here!" Derik said as he gently tapped the black chains and they instantly turned darkish green!
The chain wrapped around the red dragon loosened up and quickly stabbed into Igneels body, preventing him from fleeing. At this point, the red dragon could no longer speak, talk less of resisting Derik's power.
"I like you Igneel... I like your passion, your drive, your spirit... Unfortunately, we met at the wrong time and the wrong circumstances... If it were any other day I would have loved to have a friend like you" Derik said calmly as he pulled back and the chains shot out of Igneel's body.
It left no injury or wound and when it was pulled out, everyone could see a visible representation of Igneel's ferocious soul, struggling viciously but it could not escape Derik's grasp and was quickly dragged into Derik's body.
Seeing this, many people watched in horror as the soulless body of the red dragon fell to the ground like an empty husk just lying there.
"Finally, I can bring you back to my side" Derik said those words with a genuine smile on his face, stunning even Lucien.
He was curious to know what kind of person would warrant Derik to feel excited. He has heard of Kaido and Demos but all he heard were just mere stories, even he was eager to meet them in person.
Everyone watched as Derik placed his hands on the head of the massive dead dragon and shut his eyes tight. A darkish green soul emerged from his body, taking the shape of a youth, dressed in complete knight's armor, gazing down at Derik with a complicated look on his face. The darkish green aura around his body was dispelled and they all watched as Derik pushed the soul into the dragon body and seal it!
After sealing it, Derik didn't hesitate to place his hand on the forehead of the dragon, creating some sort of ancient seal. Had drawn the sun at the center of the dragon's head, Transfering the power of the sun god into the new body, and only he was done did he back away and look at the dragon with a satisfied smile on his face.
Grunt!
The fire dragon let out an uncomfortable sound as it slowly opened its eyes. Kaido was yet to adjust to the new body and felt extremely weak. He remained on the ground, lying there and gazing at Derik.
"Don't tell me you brought me back just to kill me again... Because I clearly do not understand why you chose to put me in the body of a beast" Kaido said lazily and Derik chuckled.
"It's not just any beast, it's a dragon! You should be grateful for this!" Derik said and Kaido yawned.
"Back in our days, we killed dragons... They are no different from other beasts... Just stronger and a bit harder to deal with" Kaido said with a bored look on his face.
Hearing this man speak this way about dragons they couldn't help but look at Derik. Dragons are considered the ruling class amongst beasts and even drunk men wouldn't dare slander their name but Derik and Kaido spoke about dragons as if they are just stronger versions of lizards.
"This god vein is different... Beasts here can cultivate... Even the body you have now has a human form... You can transform when your soul fuses with the body" Derik said calmly while tapping the dragon's massive nose.
"A new god vein? No wonder I felt heavy" Kaido was stunned.
Knowing Derik he could swear on his new life that Derik barged into this world and caused a lot of trouble.
"Tell me you did not attack this world and beat the crap out of all their gods" Kaido asked with a stern look on his face.
"It's not my fault, they attacked first!" Derik tried to defend himself but Kaido wouldn't listen.
"It is always your fault Derik... No excuses" Kaido said while swiping his claw at Derik but Derik jumped away to evade the attack.
"You gave me back the sun pathway inheritance... I can always use the fire element this body is born with... Are you sure you wanna part with this power?" Kaido asked with a raised eyebrow.
