Chapter 106: Rakuzen clan
Chapter 106: Rakuzen clan
Lucien exuded an air of confidence and absolute strength to all those who watched him walk and the slight smile plastered on his face revealed his crafty and cunning nature, making all those plotting to exploit him due to his young age rethink their plans. Even the emperor who has been observing him since the moment he entered the royal throne room couldn't help but confess that Lucien was at his best right now. He had the backing of the Rakuzen ancestor spirit making his strength surpass that of the strongest spirit realm masters if necessary, a grade three and grade one sealed artifact and a couple of secrets which even he didn't know of.
In his opinion now, Lucien had the rights and capabilities to lead his own territory!
Slowly the doubt lingering in Emperor Fei's mind began to clear after making proper evaluations of Lucien. This kid may be young but he seems to be more capable than most of the present nobles! Emperor Fei would have been extremely happy if it were the old Lucien that was given this opportunity since this new Lucien was someone he is unable to see through! Even he felt a hint of danger when gazing at Lucien now.
The massive Royal throne room was a bright hall capable of containing thousands of people but meant for only a few. Directly entering through the door, one would be faced with numerous pillars, placed on both sides and on a straight light, leading to a massive staircase, leading to the throne above where Emperor Fei is seated, while looking down on everyone below. Expensive cushions are placed by the sides where Lucien and the others nobles sit during meetings but today, Lucien stood at the foot of the staircase, gazing up to the figure seated above, looking down on him.
'One day, I will make that throne mine!' Lucien's eyes flashed as he made that comment in his eyes.
It seemed as if the emperor noticed it and frowned in response. The old Lucien aspiring for the throne was someone he considered a healthy competition, he could only hope that Lucien hasn't lost that part of him.
"I have come for what is mine" Lucien said those words calmly.
"Okay" Emperor Fei gave a plain reply as he summoned several silver parchments floating above his hand.
His gaze was no longer soft and friendly like before but that didn't bother Lucien anymore. He only considered this as the emperor acknowledging his strength!
"Before we begin, I wish to know What type of people do you wish to rule over? Beast-men or Humans?" Emperor Fei asked calmly. His eyes pinned on Lucien showcased a hint of curiosity, making it seem as if the question is more of a test.
"Everything Beast-men, Humans spirit cultivators everything As long as they do not disrupt the peace, they are allowed to stay" Lucien answered casually, causing a small smile to bloom on the emperor's face while he nodded in agreement.
That too has always been his life's goal.
At least Lucien hasn't changed by much
"Territories are captured by the nobles and those who are there are forced to succumb to their rule that's how the clan leaders here did theirs but things have changed slightly The Fotia empire has reached a level so that much effort is not to be expended This is the royal decree! Carry it with you when you get to the Bradford town, show them this and they will have no choice but to serve you" Emperor Fei said as he pushed lightly and one of the silver parchments shot towards Lucien which he caught promptly!
"Bradford is a small town outside the empire but under our control as well It is located west of the empire, not too far from the Academy, that way attending classes shouldn't be difficult for you as well Its population is made up of both beast men and Humans The only I know of in the empire's territories You will know more when you get there." Emperor Fei said.
"West of the empire? A place filled with magic beasts of various levels and varieties It's shocking a few towns still exist in those remote parts!" Lucien said calmly as he knew where this is.
These places are famous for their magic beasts! There at least one person dies daily during a magic beast invasion. Since it's not a territory under any noble family, the empire naturally didn't place much focus on it. The beast-man and human towns there had no other choice but to unite in a bid to survive.
"A noble must be one with strength If you want a place you can call your own, you have to earn it!" Emperor Fei said calmly.
"Hehehe! I am not complaining You don't have to be worried, it will be dealt with in a few days" Lucien boldly stated, causing the emperor to raise an eyebrow in surprise while the nobles shake their heads in disbelief!
He was going to resolve a serious magic beast issue in just a few days, with his low cultivation level?
'Let's see how cocky this kid can be when he finally gets there!' Many nobles screamed in their mind.
"HAHAHA! That's what I want to hear! I hereby declare you, Lucien! A Baron of the Fotia empire! As such you must pick a last name" Emperor Fei said with a smile!
Hearing this, Lucien silently touched the empty space in front of him, and from what looked like the void he pulled out a bright blue Chinese serpent dragon mask, putting it on. Within the mask, no one could see his facial expression and could only rely on his cold eyes to determine what his emotions are.
"A last name I shall call my family, Rakuzen" Lucien said lightly but that name sent chills down the heart of people around!
Rakuzen!
Ever since Lucien's return, that name has spread across the empire and many people have done their research on it but ended up finding nothing!
Even emperor Fei's eyes twitched as he heard that name!
