Chapter 387: Ch.386 Descend From the Sky

The Magic Floating Cloak carried Su Ming quickly into the high sky, leveling with the battlefield.

"Strange, it feels like you're flying faster. Is it just my imagination?"

Su Ming patted a corner of the cloak, talking to it.

Of course, the cloak didn't answer, it just gave a small shake, pretending to be a cloak with no issues.

Since they were in a battle, more speed was a good thing, so Su Ming decided not to dwell on it.

Not far ahead, Dawn was wreaking havoc on the spirits. Those souls were like balloons attacking a porcupine—they would approach but wouldn't last more than two seconds before popping.

Yet none of them retreated. For their goddess, they had no fear at all.

Su Ming didn't have any plans to intervene for now. He wasn't familiar with those monks, and no one was paying him, so he was more inclined to just float nearby and observe Dawn's skills and attack habits.

"Hmm, right-handed, prefers energy projection attacks, flight speed not exceeding 200 meters per second, armor consists of just two pieces of animal hide..."

He analyzed the figure in the middle of the battle, mentally recording all his findings.

"Left arm has a goat skull, possibly an artifact. The feathered adornment on her head also has a protective effect—sorcery power is protecting her entire body."

"Flat chest, agile turns... her fighting isn't completely without reason, knows how to assess risk and benefits."

Once the spirits were almost all defeated, Su Ming had noted a lot of battle data. Now dealing with this woman would be easy as pie.

"Alright, scram now, useless spirits."

He flew straight ahead, floating in the air face-to-face with Dawn, and bluntly ordered the useless spirits to leave.

"You!"

One of the spirits wanted to argue, but was quickly pulled back by his fellow spirits and flown toward the ground.

Su Ming vaguely heard them speaking in Hindi, saying things like, "This man carries the aura of Death" and "Our goddess will not offend her." Things like that.

No matter, as long as they left. Next, Su Ming needed Dawn to focus her attention on him to create an opportunity for Donna.

"Hey there, beautiful. Can you hear me?" Su Ming hid the Godkiller behind his back and tried to communicate with Dawn.

"Get lost!"

Dawn paused just briefly before launching an attack at him. The energy beam in her hand swung at him like a hundred-meter-long sword.

Good, she can hear and understand others—a weakness.

Her combat skills were average, simply waving the energy beam around—another weakness.

The cloak merely took Su Ming into an aerial somersault to dodge the attack, while he stood in the air with his hands behind his back.

Now it was time to hurry. He needed her to exit her "marked" state while preserving her soul.

Once the plan was in place, it was time to execute.

Su Ming looked behind her and shouted, "Superman! Why are you here?! Don't interfere with my fight!"

His acting was so convincing that even Donna, hiding secretly high in the sky, couldn't help but look over her shoulder to check for that red and blue figure.

Su Ming nearly wanted to slap his own forehead. This silly girl—obviously, those words were to deceive Dawn, why would she fall for it?

But fortunately, Superman's name was intimidating enough. Dawn was fooled, immediately turning her head to check behind her to prevent Superman from ambushing her.

Superman's flight speed was insanely fast; if he really were there, hesitation of even a second would be dangerous.

In reality, Batman would never dispatch Superman or the Martian Manhunter to deal with magical matters.

Both of them had almost zero magic resistance—Superman was tortured countless times by various characters using magic, and the Martian Manhunter had been mentally controlled by Morgaine, acting as her slave for a long time.

Why did the Justice League have Diana form the Justice League Dark? Because she had the highest magic resistance in the Justice League. Actually, Aquaman wasn't bad either, but why go for anyone else when Diana had a shield?

Seeing Dawn fall for it and turn to find Superman, the Magic Floating Cloak silently carried Su Ming at high speed toward her.

The rope, transformed from the Godkiller, spun twice in the air before he swung a perfect loop at Dawn, like a cowboy lassoing a bull.

"There!"

It perfectly looped around her neck.

Only now did Dawn realize something was wrong, but it was too late. With Su Ming's orders, the Magic Floating Cloak immediately executed a long sequence of advanced maneuvers at its highest speed.

High-altitude dives, sudden stops in mid-air, consecutive barrel rolls, yo-yo spins—both high and low—it performed them all.

The cloak's flight techniques were so impressive that even Hal would shout in admiration.

Dawn's speed couldn't keep up with the cloak; she was just being pulled around, smashing through buildings, flying from one mountaintop to another.

Wherever she passed, smoke, dust, and snow sprayed everywhere, and loud crashing sounds rang out endlessly.

Standing on the plaza, the gorilla and Arabella followed the black-and-yellow streak in the air, sometimes turning their heads to the left, sometimes to the right.

Finally, it was Arabella who lost interest first. She knew that Su Ming had achieved his goal—Dawn could not break free from the Godkiller's restraint, which meant she was completely helpless.

But solving the problem still required her, the sorcerer.

She immediately pulled a piece of charcoal from her pocket and started drawing a magic circle on the ground, as she would soon need to use infernal power to push back Hecate's control.

There was no need for brute force; they only needed to awaken Dawn's original consciousness so that her original self could fight back against the control.

In the air, Dawn's tongue was sticking out, but Su Ming wasn't about to give her a chance to catch her breath. She had the physiology of an Atlantean, which meant this level of damage was nowhere near enough to kill her.

If he didn't exhaust her and drain her spirit, Donna's upcoming task would still have complications.

"Cloak, Uranus."

"Ahhhh!!!!!"

The black-and-yellow figure, dragging a purple figure, shot up straight into the sky like a kite being flown, turning into a tiny speck in a blink of an eye, disappearing from view.

Only Dawn's screams echoed amidst the fire and thick smoke.

Around the plaza, all the onlookers had their mouths wide open—the bald monks stared blankly at the sky, making guttural sounds as if something had lodged in their throats.

Was it over just like that? The woman who was just wreaking havoc had been dealt with so easily?

If Su Ming knew what they were thinking, he would definitely humble himself and say:

"When I know so many weaknesses of my opponent, it's impossible to go slow, even if I tried."

He dragged Dawn directly out of the atmosphere—although Uranus wasn't necessary. Despite her tough appearance, she clearly didn't have the ability to breathe in outer space, and at this point, she was already on the brink of suffocation.

However, the power of sorcery still enveloped her, so she still had some fight left.

Su Ming raised an eyebrow. "Have you ever heard of a move called 'The Piledriver from the Heavens'?"

Of course, Dawn couldn't answer him. She only flailed her limbs, trying to break free from the rope around her neck.

Su Ming spun around and began a rapid reentry back through the atmosphere. As the mountains and the plaza below became clearer, he made a sudden stop just before landing.

Momentum caused Dawn behind him to be slammed directly into the ground, shaking the entire mountain range. Distant peaks rumbled in response.

"Earth-style slam, always works like a charm."

The impact triggered a massive avalanche in the Himalayas.

He landed slowly, taking a breath, hot air rising from his helmet.

He pulled the Godkiller, as if reeling in a fish, and dragged Dawn from the deep crater in the plaza. She had lost consciousness, dangling like a doll on a string.

Donna flew over, her gaze towards him full of grievance.

Deathstroke was too strong—she wasn't even needed!
