Chapter 109: Doomsday

Chapter 109: Doomsday

Even though Superman was being suppressed by kryptonite, leaving him with only a fraction of his strength and in an extremely weakened state, he still struggled and said to Alex:

"Traveler Batman, what are you doing? Why aren't you stopping the creation of Doomsday?"

Alex smiled and calmly responded:

"I think Doomsday is a very durable punching bag. It might be useful to test the limits of my strength."

Hearing Alex's answer, even Lex Luthor looked shocked. The symbiote on him also spoke:

"I told you, this guy is absolutely insane! Even though I only inherited fragmented memories from Batman's symbiote, I still instinctively feel terrified of him.

Run away now, don't push your luck any further!"

"No, I have to create Doomsday. His arrogance will be the key to my victory!" Lex Luthor rejected the symbiote's suggestion and immediately controlled it, generating numerous tentacles to begin experimenting on Zod's cloned body.

Under his constant experiments, a monstrous creature began to rapidly form inside Zod's body.

Seeing this, Superman grew even more anxious. He shouted to Alex:

"Traveler Batman, stop him! Doomsday is an extremely powerful being. He can grow almost infinitely and revive himself unconditionally.

His strong adaptability allows him to survive any attack that kills him. No attack can kill him the same way twice!

He's not just a punching bag; he's the ultimate biological weapon capable of destroying worlds!"

Alex remained composed, looking even more excited about what was to come. He walked over to Superman and crushed the kryptonite restraining him, allowing Superman's powers to quickly return.

However, Superman was still in a weakened state, even frailer than an ordinary person, and could only hope Alex would stop Lex Luthor. But Alex had no intention of stopping the fun that was about to unfold.

He calmly said:

"Don't worry, it's just a newborn Doomsday, easily dealt with. He's even weaker than you at the moment, nowhere near the strength of the ancient Doomsday. I have plenty of ways to kill him."

Although the Traveler Batman was incredibly powerful, Superman was well aware of Doomsday's terrifying nature. With his immortality and constant growth, if left unchecked, he could eventually become the most powerful entity in the universe.

Even if the Traveler Batman could kill Doomsday multiple times, Doomsday would keep coming back, adapting to his attacks and rendering them useless.

In a prolonged fight, Doomsday would inevitably emerge victorious!

The thought of Doomsday eventually destroying Earth, or even the entire universe, filled Superman with fear. He rushed towards Lex Luthor, attempting to stop the experiment, but a hand stopped him. It was the Traveler Batman!

Alex easily grabbed Superman, halting his movement.

Given his current strength, Alex could easily subdue even a fully powered Superman, let alone the weakened one now.

Seeing Superman's furious and confused expression, Alex, in a deep voice, boasted:

"Clark, you're underestimating me. How could a newborn Doomsday be my opponent?

During my travels across the multiverse, I've killed more than one Doomsday. The strongest one I faced even annihilated Darkseid and reached the final stage of evolution.

He adapted to almost every power in existence, was stronger than Superman, faster than The Flash in motion, had regeneration abilities that is basically immortality, and possessed abilities like teleportation and control over machines.

He even evolved a permanent domain that devoured all life around him, using it as nourishment to keep growing.

And most importantly, even then, he was still evolving rapidly, far beyond his previous growth rate.

But I still killed him. I collected all six Infinity Stones and sacrificed most of my strength by snapping my fingers, wiping out half the life in that universe to gain the power needed to stop him and prevent the universe's destruction."

Hearing this, Superman and Lex Luthor were left speechless. They didn't think the Traveler Batman was lying; the confidence in his voice was too convincing.

They couldn't believe that the Traveler Batman had experienced such an event—killing a fully evolved Doomsday.

Although the price of victory had been incredibly high, losing most of his power and sacrificing half of a universe's life, he still managed to save it.

And now, despite the Traveler Batman's incredible strength, he claimed it was only a fraction of his former peak. Just how powerful could he be in his complete form?

As they pondered this, both Superman and Lex Luthor glanced over at the other Batman, still fighting the Joker, and couldn't help but feel that comparing Batmen was enough to drive one crazy.

Sensing Superman's thoughts, Alex chuckled and said:

"You think Batman is just an inferior version of himself, but you don't realize you're just an inferior Superman. In the multiverse, I've seen countless Supermen stronger than you—Golden Superman, Silver Superman, Thought Robot Superman, Superboy Prime, and more...

These beings are far more powerful than you. The strongest among them could even destroy the multiverse."

Superman's smile vanished. He hadn't realized there were such powerful counterparts of himself, but why was he so weak in comparison?

Alright, alright. So Batman is an inferior Batman, and I'm an inferior Superman. Could it be that this entire universe is an inferior one too?

The more Superman thought about it, the more plausible it seemed, and the more frustrated he became. He even forgot about stopping Lex Luthor.

Just then, a clap of thunder erupted in front of Lex Luthor, with red energy lightning exploding in front of him. The deafening sound of a heartbeat followed as Zod's cloned body began to expand, becoming increasingly inhuman.

Lex Luthor immediately abandoned the others and tried to flee, but after only a few steps, he suddenly froze in place.

Alex used Unlimited Void to control Lex Luthor and began extracting knowledge from his mind. He had to admit, Lex Luthor was indeed one of the smartest people in the DC universe. His knowledge gave Alex plenty of ideas for enhancing barrier techniques.

Now, Alex's barrier techniques weren't just based on the ones from the Jujutsu Kaisen universe. They were a new energy system he had created, using the Jujutsu Kaisen techniques as a foundation, combined with his own limit-breaking abilities and the vast knowledge from the Marvel, Toaru, and DC universes!

Afterward, Alex tossed Lex Luthor onto a desolate floating island in his pocket universe, preparing to brainwash him into becoming a slave who would help him perfect the pocket universe.

As for potential betrayal, Alex didn't care. As a wise man once said:

"My defeated enemies are never considered worthy opponents. I give you time to catch up, only to leave you far behind."

Zod's body continued to swell, reaching its limit. Using Zod's body as an incubation chamber, a ferocious figure successfully emerged.

An overwhelming sense of desecration and brutality blanketed the area. Superman's face turned pale, and in the distance, even the Joker and Batman stopped their fight. The only one smiling at the newly born Doomsday was Alex, already sizing up the punching bag to see if it would hold up.

As soon as it was born, Doomsday unleashed an ear-splitting roar, the sound reverberating across the sky, spreading so far that everyone in America could hear it.

In Gotham, a beautiful woman who was worried about losing contact with Themyscira heard the sound. A brilliant light enveloped her, and she transformed into a powerful warrior dressed in medieval armor.

She rushed swiftly toward the location where Alex and the others were.

Seeing that Doomsday had fully formed, Superman immediately said to Alex:

"Traveler Batman, we must deal with him immediately before he evolves. And if we fight for too long, we might destroy the entire city!"

Alex waved his hand, indicating he understood, but he didn't rush to deal with Doomsday. Instead, he lightly tapped the air in front of him, and the sound of glass shattering filled the air. Superman, Batman, and the others quickly noticed the change in their surroundings.

The space around them had transformed into a dreamlike realm, with buildings folding in on themselves, creating bizarre structures. They quickly realized they were no longer in Gotham but in some strange alternate space.

Alex's voice echoed:

"When dealing with brute fighters like Doomsday, as a refined mage, I have too many ways to limit him."

Superman and Batman, who both relied on brute strength to fight, fell silent. It seemed like Alex's words included them in his disdain.

Alex nonchalantly walked toward Doomsday, telling the others:

"Don't interfere. I want to handle this big oaf myself. I haven't gone all out since fighting the Celestials. I'm really looking forward to it!"

Batman and Superman immediately stopped. They knew this Batman's temper. If they disobeyed, things could go very badly.

But the Joker didn't care. He was disgusted by this pretender acting as his sweetheart and had no intention of listening to him. He quickly slipped past Batman, gathering the energy of the Seven Deadly Sins inside him and launched an attack at Alex.

As the blasphemous lightning struck Alex, the Joker burst into manic laughter:

"That's what you get for interrupting my date with my sweetheart!"

Of course, the Joker didn't believe a word of what Alex had said earlier, assuming it was all bluster. And he was right—Alex had indeed been bragging, but his strength? That was no bluff

A figure instantly appeared in front of the Joker, tightly gripping his face.

The Joker froze, trying with all his might to break free, but no matter how much he struggled, he couldn't escape the hold of just five fingers!

Alex didn't bother with any unnecessary actions. He directly injected the Joker's mind with decades' worth of information, causing him to be overwhelmed with mental overload, and then calmly sent him into the pocket universe for later handling.

Once he had dealt with the distraction, Alex turned his attention back to Doomsday.

At that moment, Doomsday was shaking off the residual fluids from its incubation, locking eyes on Alex, the most powerful being in the area.

Seeing this, Alex's smile grew wider. Inside the mirror dimension, he no longer needed to hold back.

Black and red lightning crackled around his body, enveloping him in a terrifying aura.

He vanished in an instant and reappeared in front of Doomsday, delivering a powerful blow to its face with a swirling ball of red and white energy.

"Cursed Technique Reversal: Red!"

Doomsday, still newly born and not yet at its full power, had no ability to resist the attack. Its head exploded into fragments, and the rest of its body was torn apart by the force of Alex's attack, the flesh being shredded to dust by the distorted field.

Of course, Alex had expected this. A newly born Doomsday was even weaker than Superman, and it was only its regenerative abilities and adaptability that would allow it to grow stronger.

As he predicted, Doomsday's head began to rapidly regenerate. In moments, it was fully restored and ready to fight again.

Alex wasted no time in using another "Cursed Technique Reversal: Red," smashing Doomsday's head once more. However, this time, the damage was less severe. Doomsday had already begun adapting to the curse technique, and its recovery speed had increased significantly.

Even after just one death, Doomsday had adapted to the repulsive force of Alex's technique and had enhanced its own healing powers.

Alex smiled with satisfaction. A punching bag that could heal itself this quickly was exactly what he needed. But he wasn't entirely satisfied; Doomsday was still too fragile.

He increased the strength of his body with energy, grabbed Doomsday by the head with both hands, and slammed its face into his knee, shattering its skull again.

In mere seconds, Alex had killed Doomsday multiple times, each time forcing the creature to grow stronger. Doomsday's body was becoming more durable and its regenerative abilities faster with every encounter, yet Alex still wasn't impressed.

He slashed at Doomsday with his fingers like a blade, effortlessly severing its arm and slicing its head in half, killing it once again.

But this time, after reviving, Doomsday's physical strength had grown to surpass Superman's, allowing it to put up a brief fight against Alex.

Even so, Alex easily overpowered it, using twisted gravitational fields and his black-and-red lightning attacks to kill Doomsday again and again. Each time, Doomsday's growth accelerated, but its attacks remained futile.

As their battle continued, Batman and Superman, who had been watching from a distance, began to struggle to even perceive the movements of the two fighters. Their speed had increased beyond what their eyes could follow, and the shockwaves from their clashes were becoming unbearable.

If they didn't leave soon, the aftershocks alone could end up killing them.

After narrowly dodging one of Doomsday's heat vision attacks, which nearly sliced him in half, Batman shouted:

"Traveler Batman, let us out of here!"

Both Batman and Superman used all their strength to call out, finally catching Alex's attention. Seeing their bloodied and battered states, Alex felt a bit guilty. After knocking Doomsday back with a powerful punch, he opened a portal and let the two escape.

Outside the mirror dimension, Batman and Superman both sighed in relief, their immediate danger finally over.

But soon after, their concerns returned. Doomsday was growing too fast. What if Alex couldn't handle him and things got out of control?

If Doomsday defeated Alex and escaped the mirror dimension, there would be no one left who could stop him. The entire universe might be destroyed by his rampage!

After a moment of thought, Batman reassured Superman:

"It's unlikely. If everything Traveler Batman said is true, even the strongest Doomsday wouldn't be able to defeat him, let alone this newborn one."

Hearing Batman's words, Superman started to relax. But then he remembered something and asked Batman:

"Did Traveler Batman ever tell you who the strongest version of Batman in the multiverse is?"

Batman blinked and replied:

"He did. He said the strongest Batman is more powerful than gods, even capable of freely traveling through time."

Hearing this, Superman couldn't help but smile with pride.

"Well, the strongest Superman can destroy the entire multiverse!"

Batman quickly shattered Superman's pride with one statement:

"Doesn't matter. That's not you—you're just an inferior Superman."

Superman: "..."

...

Back in the mirror dimension, Alex and Doomsday continued their clash, obliterating everything within a fifty-meter radius. Buildings and terrain were reduced to dust by the sheer force of their battle, only to regenerate moments later.

Within the mirror dimension, as long as Alex had energy, he could endlessly repair everything inside.

And with his pocket universe continuously supplying him with energy, he had an endless reserve.

In this space where the rules of reality were bent, everything seemed to defy common sense.

By now, Alex had killed Doomsday dozens of times, trying out various techniques to see how the creature adapted.

He discovered that Doomsday's adaptability had its limits. For instance, Doomsday took five deaths to fully adapt to Alex's space-slashing attacks, but it still couldn't withstand his vector manipulation or "Purple," even after dying several times.

Doomsday's growth in strength and speed was impressive, but it was still no threat to Alex. The creature's combat style was too straightforward and reliant on brute force. Alex had too many ways to counter it.

With a casual gesture, Alex manipulated the mirror dimension to hurl an entire skyscraper at Doomsday, but the creature easily tore it apart without sustaining any damage.

After several more minutes of fighting, Alex finally heard the sound he was waiting for:

[Mirror Dimension experience +1]

[Congratulations! Your skill Mirror Dimension has leveled up!]

[Mirror Dimension LV3 (1/1000): Create a temporary dimensional space isolated from reality. Any events within will not affect the real world!]

A flood of information surged into Alex's mind, which he quickly absorbed. With the level-up, the size of the mirror dimension expanded rapidly, growing from five kilometers to fifty kilometers in just moments.

Along with the increase in size, Alex also gained greater control over the space. With a wave of his hand, he compressed a skyscraper down to the size of a spear and hurled it at Doomsday at supersonic speeds.

Doomsday barely managed to block the attack, but not without sustaining some injury.

Seeing that his new attack had drawn blood, Alex nodded in satisfaction. The power level was beyond his expectations.

Excited by the improvements, Alex couldn't help but imagine the possibilities. If level 3 was already this powerful, what could level 4 achieve? Could he begin creating objects inside the mirror dimension like a god? And if he reached level 5, would he be able to create an entire dimensional plane of his own?

As Doomsday charged at him once more, Alex casually kicked the creature in the face. Black-and-red lightning exploded from his foot, distorting Doomsday's head and sending it flying backward.

Then Alex calmly made a hand sign, crossing his index and middle fingers, and said:

"Domain Expansion: Unlimited Void."

Doomsday, who had been rising from the rubble, suddenly froze mid-charge, trapped within Alex's domain. However, because Doomsday had already been subjected to this ability once before and died from it, it had developed a certain level of resistance. After a few seconds of struggling, it began to shake off the effects of the Unlimited Void and resumed its charge toward Alex.

But Alex wasn't fazed. The most terrifying aspect of Unlimited Void wasn't its ability to paralyze enemies; it was the fact that within the domain, all attacks were guaranteed to hit.

With just a light flick of his fingers, countless spatial slashes rained down on Doomsday. Its body was torn apart, healed, and torn apart again in an endless cycle of destruction and regeneration.

Alex yawned, clearly growing a bit bored. Walking up to the immobilized Doomsday, he placed his hand on its head and activated "Energy Absorption," siphoning the creature's energy into his own body. However, he quickly stopped, grimacing in disgust.

Doomsday's energy was vile, a chaotic mass of filth. If the energy from the Mother Boxes tasted like a fine, gourmet dessert, then the energy from Doomsday was the equivalent of eating sewage. Although its power level wasn't particularly high, it was extremely unpleasant.

"Tch."

Annoyed by the disgusting energy, Alex decided to end things. Forming a purple sphere of energy—a fusion of red, black, and white—he jammed the orb into Doomsday's mouth, then used spatial manipulation to teleport the creature far away, nearly fifty kilometers away from his current position.

The next moment, the sphere exploded with devastating force. Doomsday was utterly obliterated, down to the last atom. Not a single cell remained, meaning it had no way to regenerate.
