Chapter 67 Mr. Fang's Intention
Thinking of how she so badly wanted to get into Mr. Fang's good books, but ends up complicating issues, she becomes unhappy.
"You are too thick-skinned. You can't even pretend to act a little reserved or shy."
"Who was the one that first suggested it?" Zhang Liling asked with raised brows.
Tungmei refused to let her off and insisted, "I'm the one, but that's not an excuse."
Zhang Liling gave up and said, "I think it's more truthful to be transparent than to pretend to be who you are not."
She was using that statement to justify the fact that she was thick-skinned and shameless.
Tungmei was speechless after she dared to admit to it, but from a different perspective.
"Fine! Let's go home already, I'm famished." Zhang Liling said while gathering her things and putting them inside her backpack.
Tungmei wasn't left behind, she quickly put her things together before following her out.
Just outside the door of the lecture hall they left, two enemies met.
Zhang Liling and Shu Rushi met and glared daggers at each other and surprisingly, they went their separate ways without exchanging words or fighting.
Normally, this would have been at least the perfect opportunity to exchange a few words, and the worst part, would then be getting into a fight.
Tungmei noticed this and asked Zhang Liling about it after Shu Rushi and her minions walked past them with a snort.
"Did something happen between you two in secret, or is that today is not a good day to fight?"
Zhang Liling withdrew her gaze from Shu Rushi and shifted it to her. "You are right about something. Something indeed happen between us, but it was not in the secret, it's just that you and a lot of people are unaware of it."
Tungmei became interested with the way she put things and wanted to find out what really happened, so she quickly chased after Zhang Liling who was already leaving with a not-so happy expression on her face.
"Liling as your only friend in S City, can you tell me what happened between you Shu Rushi? Did you two get into a fight, or does it have something to do with your families? Are your companies collaborating or did your families call you to order?"
Zhang Liling got tired of her questions and quickly explained. From the beginning, she had no intentions to hide what transpired between her and Shu Rushi the previous day.
"Shu Rushi and I fought at the departmental store yesterday..."
"What?!" Tungmei didn't wait for her to finish her sentence before exclaiming in shock.
How come she was right about them fighting?
Regardless, Zhang Liling continued, "But trust me, I made sure to beat her properly since her skull was too thick for some senses to get inside her."
Zhang Liling had wanted to say that she best senses into Shu Rushi's thick skill, but then she remembered how foolish she acted thereafter while claiming rights instead of taking responsibility for finding trouble first, and destroying the beautiful bag they both wanted.
"You two actually got into a fight in a departmental store? How did it happen?" Tungmei asked with her mouth agape.
Zhang Liling then went on to explain how the fight between her Shu Rushi started.
After hearing everything, Tungmei didn't look so surprised anymore instead, annoyance was plastered on her face.
"The people are that store are clueless to have called the police on you. Don't go back there again!"
"I'm not ever going to step foot into that store again, unless I'm personally going to shut it down myself!"
Zhang Liling seemed like she wasn't over the embarrassment she brought upon herself before Mr. Fang, and couldn't helot getting angry at the shop attendants.
Zhang Liling did not take Tungmei out for lunch today, instead she returned back to Mr. Fang's villa to avoid getting into trouble outside, and being chased out from his place.
On her way towards the road leading to the school gate after separating from Tungmei, Zhang Liling saw a familiar figure hopelessly walking ahead.
'Is that not Zhang Mingyu?' Zhang Liling thought with a little confusion. Since she was no longer living with the Zhang family, she was still unaware of Zhang Mingyu's car being taken away from him, or she would have had a good laugh.
Unfortunately, she was not aware, and she didn't make any attempt to call his attention. She didn't want to have anything to do with him.
Even if she was curious to know why he wasn't in his car under this scorching summer afternoon sun, and carrying a few ladies and gentlemen, she wouldn't ask about it.
What was going on in her mind, was to go and hide herself from Mr. Fang, and work towards having a good reputation before him.

Zhang Mingyu was so embarrassed to be working under the sun, and having people's eyes on him.
He knew that they must be wondering the reason he was walking in the sun when he had a good sports car.
For a moment, he didn't know who to blame again, but if he knew he was in that situation because of Zhang Liling, he would have gone to find her after having his lectures for the day.
She can't use her smartness and intelligence over him to make him suffer!

At Fang Group of companies...
Bolin knocked on the door to Mr. Fang's office before helping himself in. He had a package in his hands as he approached Mr. Fang's desk.
"Sir, the lawyer has brought the bag over." Bolin reported, while standing in front of his desk.
Mr. Fang had so many lawyers, but they were different from the ones working for Fang Group. He had asked one of his personal lawyers to go and settle the case at the departmental store on behalf of Zhang Liling.
Only if Zhang Liling knew what Mr. Fang had done for her, she would fall at his feet to worship him, and even put in extra effort to win him over.
How many employers would take care of their employee's personal problems? This was what she was aware of, but Mr. Fang wasn't thinking that way.
Since he came to know, and had seen for himself of how much of a troublemaker Zhang Liling was, he has to keep eyes on her, and take care of her mess to avoid his reputation getting tarnished by her.
What a hassle!
Mr. Fang who was writing something down at the time Bolin walked in, paused with it and raised his gaze. "Give it to Miss Zhang in the evening after we clock off work."
"Yes, Sir," Bolin replied and bowed before turning to leave, but Mr. Fang stopped him with a very important instruction.
"Make sure she never thinks that this is a gift from me!"
"I understand!" Bolin replied and left.
He understood Mr. Fang's intentions clearly. He didn't want to hand the bag over to Zhang Liling by himself, or that little stubborn woman would think that he was gifting her.
Also, he had to be careful of the words he says while handing the gift to her, to stop her from misunderstanding Mr. Fang's intentions.
