More than a dragon Warrior

Shen vs Kai

Shen vs Kai

[Tai Lung's POV]

I sat on the charred earth and felt it crumbling even when I did so. There was an eerie silence in the surroundings as all life had been wiped from existence.

It was a wasteland.

I looked at Mei who was slowly walking up to me and I sent her a smile.

She had done well in dealing with the Shark warrior. I knew instantly when he got up and came back alive but I did not bother to return, instead, I trusted her to deal with him.

And my trust was well placed.

She might have only trained for a week but she grew up in wars so it came as second nature to her. Plus, she was extremely dedicated to getting stronger so her progress had been extraordinary.

"Good job, you did well." I said.

"It was your attack that finished him in the end, I did nothing much." she said, "Also, you nearly killed me. "

I laughed. Although it was an explosion, it still came entirely from my chi so it would not hurt someone I do not want to get hurt.

"Did I?" I asked.

"Pretty sure you did." she huffed.

"Alright, I apologize." I chuckled. She looked around at the surrounding wasteland. Everything was charred black and the land was completely reshaped by the expansion- mountains were razed and the earth was carved.

"Was this a good idea?" she said while looking at the destruction.

"It was not, but fighting itself was not a good idea." I said, "And I have an idea on how to fix it."

I closed my eyes and looked into my inner spirit and at my chi which I had already regenerated after the explosion. I changed the pattern of my chi, pulling out my blue chi.

My body shrunk and my fur receded as I transformed into a man. Mei watched me from the side, a small smile on her face because she liked to see me as a human.

After I turned into a man, I stood up and walked a few steps away and then I touched down. I put both of my hands on the earth devoid of life and allowed my chi to spread through the surroundings.

"Let there be life." I commanded.

Chi was not only for destruction but also for creation. It could give life as much as it could take it. One could even argue that chi was more tuned towards life that it was towards death.

So with my command, I felt the world suck my chi like a man dying of thirst. I circulated my chi, revolving around them in the shape of yin-yang and then I started generating an infinite amount of chi.

The energy I generated was quickly sucked by the dying earth again. Then life bloomed upon the wasteland once more.

The land gained fertility once more to host life as trees, plants, grass, mushrooms, etc sprouted out of the ground. A life-giving green light washed over the land and a miracle happened.

To kill was one thing but to breathe life was another.

It took a total of five minutes to turn the wasteland into one of the richest land in the Empire. There was a sense of sense of fulfilment in my gut which was different from the joy of the act of demolishing.

"wow." Mei whispered while looking everywhere.

"Can I do this too?" she asked.

"Probably, with a shit ton of chi." I replied. Chi was the fuel of miracles, if you had enough you could do everything.

But you also have to believe, have the necessary willpower and know exactly what you want to achieve. Aspects which the movie did great highlight - there was no secret ingredient, the trick was believing there was a secret ingredient and do not let the past hold you down, it was the present that matters, and you can't move forward while looking back.

All of which came quite easily to me now.

"Well, with our job done, let's return." I said and got up. I quickly shifted back to my normal form and we went back to our home.

I need to have my guard up at all times, the shark said if I killed them, the Gupta Empire would enter an all-out war with China.

And since I did just that, I have to prepare for the most violent response for them.

[3rd POV]

Po and Crane returned to the Jade Palace after more than a day of flying. By then, Crane was exhausted beyond belief and Po was in a horrible mental state.

"Po!! Crane!!" Master Shifu came running out to the courtyard when he heard Po crashing on the ground.

One look at his disciples and he knew instantly that something had gone horribly wrong. His heart clenched and his throat swelled up in worry.

"What happened?" he asked.

"Master, we tried everything, but he was just too strong." Po said, his voice was defeated, "He got Tigress, Viper, Monkey, Mantis, and everyone else."

"Who, Po? Who is it?"

"Kai."

Shifu's face fell and a thick silence descended on the place, it was suffocating.

"Who?'

And so, Po and Crane told Master Shifu in detail about what happened in detail. After getting all the information from his students, Shifu made his way to the library of the Jade Palace to find out who this 'Kai' was.

After learning about who the enemy was, everyone was stunned. The situation was worse than they thought but it also brought them relief because there was a big chance that thier friends were still alive.

The scroll in the Jade Palace library was written by Oogway and it was a summary of his past. The scroll talked about his best-fired Kai and how he had to battle his friend who ha lost his ways, blinded by the idea of power.

What really gave them hope was that Kai rarely killed anyone, instead, he opted to take the souls/chi of his opponents to make himself infinitely stronger.

That meant that everyone must be alive, they were simply trapped inside Kai. They just had to defeat him and set everyone free.

"We must give the information to the Emperor." said Shifu after going through the scroll. He immediately went to work and wrote a letter to Shen.

Shen had travelled towards the North as well, like it was said in the letter they previously got. Shen had a huge army of soldiers with him including the new military force known as gunbeasts.

They numbered in close to two hundred thousand and their main goal was to squash the rebel army once and for all even with all of the tricks they had. Initially, they furious five and the Dragon warrior was supposed to work with Shen in defeating the rebels in the North.

But now everything had changed. A threat that not only put China but the world at risk had appeared.

Shifu hurriedly sent the letter through the ducks working in the Jade Palace. He would've loved to send one to his son as well but he had no idea where Tai Lung was. Only the Emperor was aware of his exact location at all times.

After sending the letter, Master Shfiu and Po immediately made their way towards the birthplace of Kung Fu, the Ppols of Sacred Tears. It was the place where Shfiu initially trained Po to fight against Tai Lung.

But now, they climbed up the mountains for a second time and it was at the request of Po. His determination to get stronger was at an all-time high and he wanted to get stronger to defeat Kai and save his friends.

The messenger from the Jade Palace finally reached Lord Shen after a day of flying but by then, it was too late. A total of three days had passed since Po and Crane initially escaped from Kai and the enemy had already made thier move.

Shen was also in the North and the full force of the rebel army and the Empire clashed.

It was a war between Shen and Kai.

The unified China was at the threat of breaking apart even before it was fully formed.
