Chapter 3982 My Turn
3982 My Turn
"Well, it's interesting," I said, seeing its aura rising.
It's rare to see the monsters. Unlike people, monsters fight with their full strength, even if they hide their strength; it is visible.
While the strength of this monster had been completely hidden.
Its strength rose, and I didn't disturb it. I should, seeing the place I am in.
It would be intelligent, for I should finish this monster as soon as possible before our battle disturbs any wonder or attracts an even more powerful monster.
It had been a long while since I had fought something powerful.
Something, that made me want to use my full power. This monster is a rare opportunity, the one I might not get.
So, I want to fight it, at its full power, despite the massive risks there are.
Finally, its aura stopped rising. It had reached a greater height than I had thought; it made me really excited.
Roar!
It roared and came at me with scales on its body shining like glittering stars.
It is invisible, despite being directly in front of me. If I hadn't taken a precaution against it; I wouldn't have been able to see it moving at all
It appeared in front of me like a phantom and attacked me with its claws.
CLANNNG!
My sword clashed against and my whole body shook before I took a step back.
That is when it had attacked me, with a sharp tail, which came at me like a blur.
I poured the power into the saber in my hand and moved it forward to defend against its attack.
It tried to circumvent my sword, and did it nearly did it, before I was able to able to be brought to my saber in front of its tail, with less than an inch between them.
CLANNNG!
The tail clashed against the saber, giving it such a shock. It shook my whole body.
The physical strength behind the attack was really something.
"Good, now it's my turn," I said and attacked, with both of sword and a saber.
I may not use them in such a combination, but I am quite good at using them. My clone had done thousands of hours of practice in this combination.
It is the first time; I have been using it for years.
Most of the time, one sword is more than enough, and when I do need the other limbs. I used the string arms; they are much stronger and faster.
Though, a real limb is a real limb. There is something, that only it can do.
CLANNNG!
Its tail stopped my great sword, but I swiftly attacked with the saber, which it dodged.
Roar!
It roared and launched the energy lance, which was more powerful than the last time, but I barely glanced at it as I moved with another attack.
BANG!
The invisible shield appeared in front of me. Taking the attack, while I attacked the monster.
It defended and dodged, before attacking me with another energy lance and slashing me with its tail.
I defended against the attack, but a claw came, which I stopped with my saber and attacked it with my sword.
CLANNNG BANG CLANNNG
We clashed with attack and defense, with each attack powerful enough to take a life if hit as expected.
Both of us understood that, as we are not letting even a single attack touch our bodies.
Monster is experienced as well as powerful, which isn't surprising. This area may have fewer monsters, but nearly every monster is powerful.
I am sure, there must be some of its level, that it fights regularly.
It does fight regularly. If one looked well enough, one could see the signs all over its body. A normal Sky Sovereigns couldn't be able to see anything, but someone like me. I could see many things, including an extremely faint trace of aura lingering on it.
The way, it is shocking to it; it's clear from the battle.
Those are just the outer signs. Its inner body is filled with a hundred times more of them.
Once the battle is finished. I would have to study the data; I had got from it. It is really unique; it will deepen my understanding of the monsters.
Seconds passed and turned into minutes.
I study the monster and its every move. The monster is doing the same and acting on it.
A few minutes passed when the claw of the enemy entered my energy rage and appeared, inches away from my body.
I smiled, and the surprise appeared in the monster's eyes. It had realized it had made a mistake and tried to pull back its attack, but it was too late.
Slice!
My saber cut its leg, and a surprise appeared on my face immediately when it hit the bones.
There was resistance in the field and skin, but the resistance to the bones was on a completely different level.
"It seemed like, I would need to use the sword. If I want to cut you apart," I said to the monster and moved at it.
Roar!
The monster roared and attacked again. n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
However, it also seemed to feel that my sword was more dangerous than the saber. It would never let, any part of it come in a way, where it could be cut by it.
CLANNNNG Slice CLANNNNG!
Still, the saber continued to do the damage to the monster. Every time, its claw or tail entered my range; it would be cut by my saber.
Slice!
The saber cut through its tail, only to be stopped by the bone inside it.
There is a bone in the tail. It is flexible; more powerful, than the bones of the body.
It immediately made me interested. I want it; it would help me a lot as research material.
Slice Slice Slice!
The injuries kept appearing on the body of the monster, while anger blazed in its eyes.
Still, the monster remained careful. Never letting, its body parts close to my sword.
Another minute passed, when the monster, had finally made a mistake and I didn't hesitate to act on it.
Hissss!
It hissed and tried to retreat, but I leaped on the opportunity fast. I had been waiting for it; there was no way, I would let it go.
Rip!
A ripping sound rang out and the tail of the monster cleanly got cut. With the sharpness of enchantments blazing, there was no chance, it would survive.
ROARRR!
The lizard roared with its scales blazing and I thought, it would attack, but it had run away.
"You cannot, little monster!" I said and pulled the net.
Immediately, the monster's eyes widened in shock as it got frozen in its place.
Of course, I wouldn't let it escape, after I spent so much time fighting it.
I could have loved to chase it and killed it with the might of my sword, but I am in a dangerous place. Fighting it was already a massive risk.
Chasing it might have killed me.
It is better to use the strings, which are quick without any mess.
I looked at the monster, which gave me a satisfying battle, before pulling me into my core, before resuming my journey through the pass.
