Chapter 30 30 Desert Scorpion
Alex took a deep breath before stepping into the cave, the entrance of the cave was very bright but as he walked a little more, it started to get darker.
The cave was like a tunnel that was burrowed by a large beast, Alex kept walking till he started to see some blue light from afar, he immediately knew it was the crystal that Huntress told him about.
Alex increased his pace till it got to where the first crystal was, the crystal was embedded in the wall and Alex tried his best but he couldn't remove the crystal and he couldn't cut part of it out.
Finally the tunnel came to an end and Alex stepped inside a big room, he looked around and marveled, it was like stepping into a King's palace, blue shiny crystals decorated the whole place, and there were several large holes in the wall that led somewhere deep in the mountain.
Alex didn't see any beast or animal in the cave and he was quite surprised, he was expecting to see the desert scorpion as soon as he came in.
'I guess I have to search for it' Alex sighed softly.
From where he stood most of the caves were unreachable but only two were within reach so he choose the first one.
Alex carefully peeked before entering the cave, the cave was slightly darker than the room he was in but he couldn't see any beast in sight so he thought it was safe to enter.
Immediately he stepped inside the cave, a sound alerted him and he quickly moved close to the wall.
He hasn't gone deep inside the cave so he took a peek and saw a black scorpion staring around the cave.
'It can't possibly know I'm here right' Alex was a little tensed.
Even though he had reached level 5 if he was killed he would have to start all over again and all his equipment would be lost except his blue coins.
The scorpion had no idea Alex was in the cave but it went to one part of the cave and lay down.
'If a scorpion came out of that cave then this is not the right cave' Alex thought.
His back was still against the wall when he heard another sound and this time it was closer, a scorpion was coming out from the cave he entered.
Alex immediately closed his eyes and held his breath, he wouldn't dare turn his head to look at the scorpion even though he was unsure whether the scorpion could see him or not.
The scorpion walked past Alex without looking toward him. Maybe the scorpion didn't expect a human to be in the cave and Alex's stealth helped him greatly.
Alex opened his eyes as the scorpion walked past him and he smiled brightly, as the message came up.
[Desert scorpion]
[Level: 20]
[HP: 300]
'Level 20, if this is her mission or task then I wonder what level she would be'
Alex didn't know what to do, the desert scorpion and the first scorpion were standing quite far from each other, the desert scorpion was still closer to the end of the room while the other scorpion was standing near the entrance of the cave.
'What can I possibly do to piss it off, what about the first scorpion, I know 20 seconds won't be enough to reach the entrance of the cave'
Different thoughts flowed through Alex's brain as he thought of the best solution to the problem.
'I wish I was a high-level player, with my stealth and powerful weapons I might be able to defeat a beast like this, what am I thinking...'
Alex took a deep breath and held his dagger tightly, the dagger now had dents all over, if it collided with a hard object it would shatter to pieces immediately.
Alex had one plan in his mind and he calculated the success rate, the plan he had in mind would work if luck was on his side but all his plans shatter to pieces when another scorpion walked out of another of the tunnel.
There were three scorpions in the large room, each of them keeping their distance from the other, Alex's eyes were on the desert scorpion as he thought of another plan immediately.
If he jumps out and show himself, the other scorpions would pounce on him before he had a chance to run, and even if he used the barrier, it would only take a while but he would still die anyway.
The desert scorpion moved a little and one of the crystals on the ground poked it, the scorpion rile backward and used its pincers to break the crystal from the ground.
Alex stare at the scorpion for a while while he thought of a plan, now it wasn't a plan to piss the scorpion, instead it was a plan to collect the crystal that the scorpion broke off.
The room was well lit so Alex couldn't count on his stealth to help him, if the room was a little dark then he would be able to move around but that wasn't the case.
Alex looked around again and picked a pebble from the ground, he went towards the other part of the wall so he could see the scorpion as the entrance of the cave clearly.
The scorpion was resting as the pincers and stingers were on the ground and the scorpion wasn't moving.
Alex haven't tested his precision in the game, he knew it wasn't his fort but he was going to try anyway, he threw the stone pebble towards the entrance of the cave and as the stone landed on the ground the sound echoed and all the scorpion looked towards the entrance immediately.
The scorpion at the entrance of the cave stood up immediately while the other two scorpions slowly walked toward the entrance.
