Chapter 195 195 Easy Kill
The orcs saw them moving backward in preparation to attack and the three orcs dashed forward, but as soon as they took a large step all three of them crashed to the ground.
"Got you" Gabriel smirked as he moved backward, after the deep mud trap his Mana was almost depleted.
The orcs were now buried deep in the ground and only their hands, shoulder and face were visible making it easier to kill them.
Melissa took aim with precision, focusing on one of the blue orcs. With a swift release, the arrow soars through the air, finding its mark but the orc quickly used its hands to block the arrow from reaching its head causing blue blood to spill in front of them, but unknown to the orc, the arrow was supposed to be dodged.
Melissa's eyes widened in surprise at the orc's quickness and agility, but a smile formed on her face as the orc went up in flames.
The orc roared and howl in pain as the flames spread throughout its body, the rest of the orc saw this and struggled to climb out of the mud trap.
At the same time, Lynx aimed at the second orc and without wasting a moment he shot, the bullets pierce through the orc's tough skin, causing it to howl in pain but one bullet wasn't strong enough to kill it.
Max dashed forward wielding his sword as he aimed at the last orc, the orc saw Max and quickly raised its hands to smash Max but he was quick and sidestepped to the right, immediately he brought his sword down on the orc's hand attempting to slash both off.
[Heavy Hit]
Max activated his skills and his sword glow dimly, with a powerful swing Max struck the orc and both of the orc's hands fell off, the orc screamed and groaned in pain but Max raised his sword again and stuck the orc's neck.
This time his sword couldn't cut through the orc's neck, so instead of trying to cut through it Max retracted his sword and pierced through the orc's neck dealing the finishing blow.
"Phew...that was tough" Max let out a sigh as he received the XP from killing the orc.
He looked to his left and flinched as he saw Alex standing there with both of his daggers in the orc's neck, and from the looks of it he stabbed the orc countless times.
"You have to stop doing that" Max spoke.
"Wait, you didn't see me, it seems this black cloak would do just fine" Alex smiled.
"What are you talking about?"
"Nothing to worry about" Alex spoke.
"You guys need to thank me for trapping them, I used up all my Mana in the process and got nothing in return" Gabriel spoke.
"I would have killed them without you trapping them," Melissa said as she walked toward the orc she burnt.
"The orc didn't even see me coming, none of you did, do I would have managed" Alex smiled.
"So none of you are going to admit it, next time we meet a powerful foe, I'm going to stay out of it"
*SQUELCH*
Melissa thrust a dagger into the chest of the orc and the rest of them stood there staring at her wondering why she was cutting the orc.
"Crystals" Alex mumbled as he remembered beasts have crystals in them, he quickly did the same with his dagger.
"You killed the orc, so the crystal is mine," Gabriel said.
"I killed the orc, so technically the crystal is mine, but I'll let you have it since I got enough XP" Max smiled.
"You are lucky I used up all my Mana, I would have blasted the head of the orc after trapping it" Gabriel spoke as a drop of water touched his face.
"Rain..." Max said as the group heard galloping sounds drawing close.
The rider and Rebecca dashed towards the group swiftly, Rebecca was shouting at them but they couldn't hear what she was saying because of the rain.
"Wolves, we have to run" Alex shouted as he saw a large number of wolves behind the carriage.
"Shit, the mud would stop the carriage, I have to reverse it" Gabriel shouted as he bent down and place his hands on the mud.
[Magic control]
"The carriage is seconds away" Max shouted.
"I'm done"
"Jump" Alex shouted as they jumped to the back of the carriage, the four of them jumped and held on to the carriage before adjusting themselves inside.
Barks and growls came from behind the carriage and when Alex looked behind them, he could see at least ten wolves running behind them.
"Maybe I should fire a round, it might scare the wolves off," Lynx said.
"I don't think that's a good idea cause it might also scare the horses, and the last thing we want is to be on foot right now" the rider spoke.
"The rain isn't easing down, wait I thought the carriage was covered with something," Gabriel asked.
"Long story, but it's gone now" Rebecca replied.
"The wolves won't be able to catch up to us so I think we are safe as long as we keep moving–"
*BOOM*
One of the carriage wheels collided with a stone, the horses didn't care about that and kept running at full speed.
"Are you guys okay?" the rider asked.
"We are fine" Alex answered.
"It's almost night and it's raining, I really can't see clearly and the horses are scared of the wolves, wait are the wolves still on our tail?" the rider asked.
"No I don't think so, and we need to hold on in case we hit another bump" Alex spoke.
"Uhmm guys...I don't think the wolves are gone" Rebecca spoke.
"What do you mean?" Gabriel asked.
"If the wolves are not behind us then where are they?"
Before Alex could ask the question the group heard a loud growl followed by a thud as one of the wolves landed inside the carriage.
