"You can't be serious." Tanelia added. 

"Err Mithrilium? I have heard of Mithril but not this." John asked. 

"Mithrilium is a newly discovered very rare and precious metal that is only found in a very specific location and under certain conditions in Atlantia." 

"In the crater of a volcano and down its throat, just after an eruption." 

"The volcano must have an abundance of both mithril and orichalcum and only during a volcanic eruption will these two precious materials somehow combine and create Mithrilium."

"When it's a burst flow type, say a magic gun for example, the mithril has a successful transfer rate of around sixty-five percent, ten percent is absorbed by the mithril, and the final twenty-five percent is lost." 

"If the mithril is a steady flow type like our access bands those numbers change to eighty percent successful transfer rate, ten percent is absorbed and that leaves ten percent lost." 

"This is because you always use energy faster when bursting than going at a steady pace, just use two people running as an example." 

"At the start a sprinter will get ahead but quickly run out of energy, whereas a long-distance runner that keeps the same pace will long out last the sprinter in energy." 

"Now if we had the same magic gun made out of Mithrilium the successful transfer rate would become around eighty percent, five percent is absorbed by the Mithrilium and that leaves only fifteen percent lost." 

"As for the steady flow usage, we cannot give a definite answer on the access band because no Mithrilium access band has ever been used before and Tia will have to analyze the numbers as someone plays Genesis." 

"However, if we use a different steady flow item that has been made of Mithrilium the numbers were ninety-three percent successful transfer rate, five percent absorbed and two percent loss." 

"As you can see the ore always absorbs the same amount regardless of if it's a burst type or a steady type." 

"This is what makes mithrilium so special, not only does it absorb less magical energy, but the loss is also less which means the successful transfer amount is always higher." 

"Also, normal access bands are always made out of a special flexible mitral, which means that if the numbers for the MK 0 match other steady flow types made out of Mithrilium your sync rate in Genesis will be thirteen percent better than everyone else." 

"This means the speed at which things are transferred from your mind to Genesis and back again will be faster than anyone else in the game, we are talking reaction speeds, decision making in the heat of the moment, those sorts of things." 

"As for how it grows with you, well Mithrilium to begin with is very fragile, think glass but bendy." 

"So, one good smack and it will break, however as it absorbs magic from its owner its strength increases to a point, we have not found yet since it is such a newly discovered material." 

"This is also why only someone who has not entered Genesis can use it because their magic power is still weak, only being a few years since their magic circuits fully formed." 

"Whereas myself my power is much stronger and if the MK 0 tries to absorb it then it will break from an overabundance of magical energy." 

"Anyway, listen John, there has never been an access band like this before." 

"What you need to know however is that although Tia has confirmed the MK 0 is safe to use and it will allow you to sync with Genesis, we won't know how good the sync rate is until we actually try it." 

John looked at the band before saying. 

"What are the risks?" 

"If it doesn't work you will hear me moaning about it for who knows how long." Thasinia answered. 

John looked with uncertainty at Thasinia for a moment before looking at Tanelia and Alea who both sighed before nodding. 

"She's right, if it fails, we will have to put up with her moaning for months." Tanelia added. 

John thought for a moment before looking at Thasinia and saying. 

"Sure, let's do it.
