Magical Assessment part 1

Magical Assessment part 1

“So are you nervous?” Alea asked as she led John while hugging his arm.

“A little but it’s more excitement than nervousness , I never thought I would get a chance to use magic after not being allowed to do my magical assessment back in Dawnscape City.” John answered.

Alea was leading John through the hallways of the palace towards an area John had never been before.

“If you need help and advice when you start learning magic make sure to come ask me.” Elmyra stated as she walked besides them through the pictures before she boasted.

“After all, I am still recognised as the most powerful magic user ever.”

“That’s because you were the first ever being able to use magic.” Sarah said, rolling her eyes as she hugged John’s other arm.

“So I see we are back to holding my arms.” John stated.

“Why? Do you dislike having two beautiful women holding onto you?” Sarah asked with a smirk as she pressed her breasts against John’s arm more so he would feel more of her.

“Not at all just saying.” John replied as his eyes dropped to Sarah’s ample cleavage.

“Good then get used to it.” Sarah stated as both girls smiled as they noticed where John was looking.

“So how does this magical assessment work?” John asked, trying to distract himself.

“It’s pretty simple and will be explained when we get there so don’t worry about that.” Alea replied as she pressed her own breasts against John’s other arm before whispering into his ear.

“After the test however, we need to talk and apologize for what happened before.”

“Ok?” John replied simply.

“Hey what are you three whispering about?” Elmyra suddenly asked.

“Something you're too young to know, maybe I will tell you when you're older.” Sarah replied, turning to Elmyra and sticking her tongue out at her.

“What!” Elmyra replied shocked before saying.

“I’m older than all of you combined.”

“Are you?” Sarah replied with a shocked tone before adding.

“You don’t look or act it.”

“Why you!” Elmyra said, puffing her cheeks with an angry face.

“Sarah.” Alea said with a sigh.

“Ok ok.” Sarah replied, smirking as they carried on walking.

Eventually they arrived before a pair of large double doors that had the image of Yggdrasil carved into them.

Stopping in front of the doors, Alea and Sarah release John before turning to him where Alea said.

“Only one person can enter at a time.”

John showed a surprised look before saying.

“Really? I heard back at my school that several students were tested at the same time.”

“That’s because schools only use a basic version of the magical assessment, all it tells is if a student has the capacity for magic and nothing more.” Sarah began to explain.

“It takes weeks of trial and error with different magic spells before the average person learns what elements they have an affinity for.”

“The one you will use here is a type only powerful and rich  families have access to since it is very hard and expensive to make.”

“It will not only tell us if you do indeed have the capacity for magic but also which of the nine elements you can use and how much mana you possess.”

Alea nodded in agreement before adding.

“Because of its sensitivity to an individual’s magic only one person can be in the room when it is in use because interference from other people will invalidate the test.”

“All you need to do is enter the room and stand in the circle of the raised platform, everything else will be controlled by my mother.”

John nodded and took a deep breath before resting his hand on the door, as he did so Alea said “Wait.”

John turned to look at her and was surprised when she suddenly kissed him on the cheek before saying.

“Good luck.” After which she then turned away and headed for a smaller door a short distance away.

Sarah giggled at John’s surprised look before she kissed his other cheek and whispered.

“If you get eight or more elements I will give you a special reward.”

After which she winked and turned to walk away making sure John got a good look at her ass swaying left and right as she felt his stare on it making her smile.

It took John a few moments to recover from the shock and pull his eyes away from Sarah’s ass that he had to admit he enjoyed watching.

He turned back towards the door and pushed them open to enter inside.

In a small room just off from the magical assessment room several women were sitting in chairs looking through a one way glass screen.

In the front row sat Empress Tanelia, Queen Alexia, Empress Sakoto, dowager Empress Chirax and Thasinia.

In the row behind sat Empress Vulxis, Princess Adria, Princess Shizu and Saida.

Normally Vulxis would be sitting in the front row with the other rulers however since this was not an official engagement she sat with her friends while her mother sat with her’s.

“So predictions on how many elements John will have an affinity for?” Thasinia asked with a grin before adding.

“My guess is eight.”

“Eight!” Sakoto said with surprise before asking.

“Why eight? Most humans only have six, the five basic elements then darkness.”

“My guess is six because of this.”

“There is something about the fact that he healed from the Mark VI poison on his own and apparently several npc’s have commented on the fact they can feel elvin levels of magic from him.”

“I will also guess six, how can there be a human with the same magical capacity as an elf.” Alexia stated doubtfully.

“Then I will guess seven, I believe he will have all the basic elements as well as darkness and space.” Tanelia stated.

“Why space?” Sakoto asked.

“When he first arrived here and Alea teleported him up to the palace he claimed to see Yggdrasil.”

“Did they not use the teleport formation?” Alexia asked.

“They did but that alone would not allow him to witness Yggdrasil in such detail, normally a person would just see a vague image.” Tanelia replied.

“How about you girls?” Thasinia said, turning to Vulxis, Adria and Shizu.

Just as they were about to reply the door opened and Alea came in followed shortly by Sarah.

“Ohh good timing.” Thasinia said, making Alea and Sarah look at her curiously.

“We are guessing how many elements we think John will have an affinity for.”

Alea and Sarah looked at Shizu before Alea said

“My guess is whatever Shizu is guessing.”

“Same.” Sarah added.

“Me too.” Added Adria.

“Not sure what you three are up to but I will go along and say my guess is also the same as Shizu’s.” Vulxis said.

This made the women in the front row and Saida raise their eyebrows in surprise before Thasinia asked.

“Why?”

“Because Shizu used her mystic eyes on John.” Alea replied with a smirk.

“Oh really?” Sakoto said in mild surprise, turning to her daughter before adding.

“You have never used your mystic eyes on a male before by your own volition, it was always a request from me in the past since you say looking into a male's spirit always makes you feel nauseous.”

“I did and it does.” Shizu confirmed before continuing.

“Except when I looked at John, something urged me to use my mystic eyes on him and when I did I felt no nausea at all.”

“So what did you see?” Sakoto asked.

Shizu smiled but instead of giving a direct answer she just said.

“My guess is nine elements.”

After Shizu spoke there was shocked silence in the room.

“All nine?” Alexia asked in shock, before adding.

“There has never been a human who has ever had all nine elemental affinities, eight is the highest any human has ever achieved and that only happened once with the human race's first empress.”

“She was the first Necromancer and using those powers that no one had ever seen before as well as her affinity for time magic she created the human empire.”

Shizu smiled before saying

“All I can tell you is that I saw all nine elements in harmony within John, we will find out soon enough if I am correct or not.”

“All nine elements, interesting.” A voice suddenly said from one of the walls.

As the ladies looked over they saw a figure appear in a picture from its side, this figure looked like a more mature version of Elmyra.

The four elves all stood up and bowed before saying.

“Grandmother.” Tanelia and Thasinia said.

“Great Grandmother.” Alea said.

“Ancestor.” Saida said.

“Hmph you never show me this respect.” Came the young voice of the little girl Elmyra.

The older Elmyra chuckled before saying.

“Maybe if you acted more mature like your age then they would respect you more youngest.”

“Hmph it’s because I asked them to treat me in such a way oldest.” Youngest claimed.

“Sure sure if you say so.” Another voice that sounded not as deep as oldest and not as high pitched as youngest said before a teenage looking Elmyra appeared.
