Chapter 22 Usual Drama
Lei Zhen had his eyes widened in surprise when Tang Qiaolian said she knew about his address.
When Tang Qiaolian realized her abrupt remarks, she hurriedly gave an excuse to him, "Don't forget that I'm a nurse and can read about the patients' data, Lei Zhen. You recorded your address in the forms, so that's why I know where you lived."

"I see…" he responded in a meek tone.
Tang Qiaolian breathed a sigh of relief when she realized her excuse had been brought by Lei Zhen.
However, little did she know, Lei Zhen had always filled in the address of his previous home in the forms and not his current address.
'Seems like Qiaolian is more attentive than what a normal nurse would do.' He thought. It was a bit weird for Tang Qiaolian to know about his address, but when he weighed the pros and cons, he decided it was best to remain ignorant.
He could not feel any malicious intention coming from her nor did he have any valuables for her to try and cheat off him.
Hence, he preferred to retain their current relationship and not worsen it.
Some things are better left untold than to be told which would only result in harm on both sides.
Sometime later, Tang Qiaolian's driving skills amazed Lei Zhen as it didn't take more than 25 minutes before they arrived at his rundown apartment.
"How was it? My driving skills are superb like my nursing skills, right?" She parked the Pagani near the curb sidewalk of the street and smiled cheekily.
Naturally, though, a luxurious car like the Pagani would attract a lot of attention from the nearby passerby.
"Why is a luxury car parking in our poor district area?"
"Shush, don't admire it too much. Those that could afford these kinds of cars are not someone we can mess with."
The passerby was mumbling and some were even taking a few glances at the Pagani vehicle. Though most were clever enough to not mess with the owner of such a car and hurriedly fled the scene.
There were some thugs nearby on the street as well, but even they knew better than to mess with someone powerful. Given the current technology, the thugs had to be smarter than to commit crimes like stealing a luxury car brand or kidnapping the owner.
Thus, within a few minutes, the street block had become empty without a single soul.
Lei Zhen sighed softly as he knew this would happen when Tang Qiaolian drove a Pagani to his neighborhood.
"Q-Qiaolian, do you see the reaction of people around my neighborhood? You are like a goddess descending into a mortal's land. We, mortals, are afraid of your holiness and power." He commented.
Their status was akin to Heaven and Earth. It was hard for Lei Zhen to come up with an idea as to why she insisted on staying over at his place.
Alas, Tang Qiaolian seemed to be completely nonchalant as she casually got off the Pagani and locked the car once Lei Zhen followed suit as well.
By the time they walked to the apartment number of Lei Zhen, Tang Qiaolian showed a shocked expression.
"When did you get a new door? And it's even the latest model with an Iris sensor device." She asked.
Lei Zhen proceeded to explain the incident of Shan Lin breaking down his door. "The door arrived two days ago and it was installed quickly."
Afterward, Lei Zhen scanned his iris on the door and it made a ringtone sound as the door opened up. He walked inside and tried to clear up some things around the side to open a wider pathing for Tang Qiaolian to enter.
"I've warned you before, but my rundown apartment is really small." Lei Zhen said. For a wealthy woman like Tang Qiaolian, he predicted that she would quit her ploy right away.
After all, no one would be willing to live in such a narrow space when they are used to wide areas filled with luxurious things.
However, his expectation was shattered when Tang Qiaolian calmly walked inside and smiled briefly.
"So this is where you have been living huh, Lei Zhen." She glanced around the entrance before walking toward the living room, only to be shocked when she saw a MagnoPod placed in a corner.
"Y-You actually played Magnolia as well??!" She was alarmed and stared at Lei Zhen in disbelief. For as long as she knew him, she could determine he was a realistic person and would never bother himself with any games.
Even though Magnolia had become a worldwide sensation and she had heard many teenagers talking about it, she had never once heard it from Lei Zhen.
Meanwhile, Lei Zhen scratched his head slightly in embarrassment.
"Is it really that weird for me to be playing games?" He asked.
Tang Qiaolian shook her head. She proceeded to go ahead and touch the MagnoPod. By touching it for a moment, she could tell it was relatively new and was recently bought due to the smoothness of the texture.
Suddenly, her attention was caught by the sight of a power generator that was camouflaged by the side. If it weren't for the occasional sound it had emitted, then she would have never realized a power generator was hiding behind the MagnoPod.
Before she could come to her senses, Lei Zhen asked, "Qiaolian, when you mentioned 'as well' previously… Does that mean you are playing Magnolia?"
Tang Qiaolian snapped out of her daze and nodded her head. "Yeah… I'm playing Magnolia as a mage because some of my friends recommended it to me. At first, I was just playing to pass time, but gradually, it became more fun and funner as I continued."
"Alrighty then, can you tell me why you insisted on staying over at my apartment tonight?" Lei Zhen finally asked the most important question of the day.
Tang Qiaolian pondered for a brief moment before giving him a response.
"Nothing much, it's just the usual drama."
