MMORPG: Crowd Control

Chapter 16 Cash Or Credit

"How could there not be a single piece of information related to Robert Knightman?" Lei Zhen asked in disbelief.

At this point, he was a bit frustrated to realize how little information there was regarding Magnolia. The game was out for 4 years, yet not a single precise details were available online.

If only Lei Zhen had contacted Shan Lin earlier instead of browsing the internet alone, then he would have known that it wasn't that there wasn't any information regarding Magnolia. It was just that everyone was selfish and purposely kept the information they found to themselves.

Completely flustered by the lack of information and his time being wasted, Lei Zhen closed his phone and sighed exhaustively.

"Sigh, not a single customer has come in on my first day of work. Could this be considered lucky or unlucky?" Lei Zhen smiled bitterly.

Why did Tundra suddenly post an announcement on his first day of work?

Don't they know how to delay it for a day or so? If his manager found out that he didn't sell a single product, then he might be blamed for the lack of sales.

Feeling vexed, Lei Zhen decided to head to the shelves and check on each product's expiration date. It was within his job category to always make sure the product quality was good and did not expire.

As he walked around to inspect some products, he realized that some potato chips were about to expire. He recalled the manual he was given by Xu Gen regarding such a situation and that he was to replace it even though it hasn't crossed the expiration date.

Thus, Lei Zhen quickly grabbed a basket and started dumping the potato chips on it. That way, the shelves would be empty and he could bring out the new potato chips on the shelves.

Just when he was finally getting busy working, the automatic sliding door entrance suddenly opened.

'What kind of timing is this?' Lei Zhen was dumbfounded.

When he was carefree, there was not a single customer. Yet when he decided to find some other work to do, a customer would suddenly appear.

Lei Zhen quickly dropped his work and turned around to greet the customer with a smile.

However, his expression changed when he realized the customer was bleeding from her arm. She was a woman that should be around her 20s. She had short purple hair and a busty size chest. In addition, she was wearing a short skirt that revealed her smooth and white legs.

Of course, Lei Zhen had no lust in his eyes as he hurriedly ran toward the woman and assisted her.

"What happened to you?" Lei Zhen asked in concern. Upon closer inspection, Lei Zhen finally saw the wound she was having.

'A bullet wound??!' Lei Zhen was secretly alarmed as he knew firearms had been heavily regulated in the year 2089. Unless you are some bigshots, there is practically no possible way to be able to purchase firearms.

While he was dumbfounded by the bullet wound, the woman seemingly held an exhausted expression as she glanced at him, "D-Do you have any saline solution here?"

"Saline Solution? That wouldn't help with the bullet wound in your arms." Lei Zhen shook his head as he helped her to the counter and told her to sit in the chair.

At the same time, he ordered her not to move around since blood would only be leaking rapidly if she were to keep moving. Even though he didn't know how the woman had a bullet wound on her arm, he was still a doctor in his heart. License or not, that doesn't stop him from treating her wound.

Luckily, there was some alcohol disinfection in the convenience store, tweezers, soft cotton balls, bandages, etc available for him to treat a gunshot wound. Given how advanced the society they were in, it was only natural that a convenience store would have so many pharmacy items as well.

Soon, Lei Zhen got all the necessary materials to treat the woman's wound.

He ran toward the counter and said, "It might hurt a little when I pour the alcohol disinfection into the wound, so bear with it."

The woman remained silent and merely nodded her head. She extended her arm out and allowed Lei Zhen to carefully treat her wound.

Though she was slightly surprised by his meticulous skills considering how he was merely a convenience store worker.

Meanwhile, Lei Zhen didn't notice the woman's gaze had changed as he continued to help disinfect the bullet wound. Once the bleeding had gradually stopped, the hardest part had come- removing the bullet.

pαndα,noνɐ1,сoМ Normally, this should have been done in a hospital, but medical service had long been advanced since the old days. Bullet wounds were no longer as serious as in the past.

Therefore, Lei Zhen could understand why the woman would have come to the convenience store to try and heal herself instead of going to the hospital nearby.

Going to a hospital means recording your data and the date of the injury, which would result in more legal problems.

"I'm going to take out the bullet from your arm now." Lei Zhen suddenly said as he picked up his tweezer. The tweezers were already disinfected so it was safe to use them to get the bullet out.

It was a good thing that those years of studying medicine had not gone to waste. He might not be a certified doctor or have a license, but his skills were definitely on par with those professionals.

Sometime later, Lei Zhen managed to take out the bullet on her arm, prompting the woman to scream slightly in pain.

Blood was gushing out of her arm the moment the bullet was retracted, but Lei Zhen remained calm and quickly stopped the bleeding process. After that, he started wrapping the bandage on her arm.

"Phew, the bullet wound might not be serious, but it would have been dangerous if you had delayed the treatment any longer," Lei Zhen said as he grabbed a piece of tissue to wipe off his sweat.

"T-Thank you," The woman glanced at her neatly wrapped bandage and thanked him sincerely.

"No problem, the cost of treatment and equipment used is approximately $145. Do you want to pay through cash or credit?"
