Chapter 318 - The Guys Were Utterly Ignored
In the dimly lit room, he saw Jasmine sitting very close to a guy whose face he couldn't recognise because of the distance.
As if sitting very close to him wasn't enough her left hands were leaning on his shoulders. Even without seeing her face clearly, he could tell that she was properly smiling.
The two other guys stepped into the room when they just saw Jackson standing there staring at something they could not see.
Jeff and Steve entered the room to see the scene Jackson met before Jasmine could readjust.
"What are you guys doing here?" Jasmine who has just found her voice asked as she dropped the glass of whiskey in her hands on the table.
Jeff and Steve pulled the angry Jackson along with them to where they sat.
"You ladies seems to be having tons of fun. I am sure our names wouldn't have even crossed your minds not to mention missing us while you are here," Jeff said as he sat beside Catherine but Catherine changed positions. He was stunned but he could not say a word.
"And why would we miss you guys? Also is it wrong for us ladies to have fun just because we have jealous men?" Evelyn asked carefreely.
The angry Jackson shot her a murderous glance when he saw that Evelyn was encouraging the ladies.
"And who are they?" the guy in the blue shirt asked while staring at the face of Jasmine sitting close to him.
"Just ignore them and let's continue from where we stopped," Evelyn said before Jasmine could reply. The guy in the blue shirt ignored the men just like Evelyn had said.
"Steve, what the heck is wrong with that woman of yours? Why do I feel like she is trying to mislead my woman," Jackson said in low tones that only the three of them could hear.
"I don't know what has come over her. I am also shocked to see her behave this way towards me," Steve said sadly.
The guy in a blue shirt continued from where he stopped before the guys arrived.
"So since I always stutter each time I try to confess my feelings to her, an idea pops into my head 'Why can't you write Jasmine a love letter since you can't say the words out?'. This was the idea that came to my head," The guy said smiling broadly.
His charming smile made Jackson who had a better smile jealous.
"I can see you have yet another competitor. Kai was very hard to tackle, I wonder how tough this one is," Steve said as he stare at the guy who can't seem to take his eyes off Jasmine's face.
"Kai must have been considered a competitor because of his engagement with Jasmine but I don't consider him a competitor because her heart is mine now...,"
"Dude if I am you, I wouldn't be too sure because it looks like Jasmine kinda likes him. The way she stares at him speaks love...,"
"Do you have a death wish?" Jackson threatened while glaring at Jeff. He shifted his gaze to the four people who were chatting happily.
"So did you later give her the love letter after writing it?" Evelyn asked curiously.
"Of course not, he unintentionally fell into the pool while trying to give the letter to me. The love letter...,"
"What the heck! What bad luck that was," Evelyn said sounding sympathetic.
"And do you know the most painful part of all this?" Timothy asked. His question caught the attention of Evelyn and Catherine. Even the guys were listening like they are not.
"The most painful part was that I later realised that Jasmine was long aware of my feelings but was only pretending and watching me go through all those sufferings because of my feelings for her...,"
"And how did you know that?" Catherine who was also interested in the story asked curiously.
In the university, she only knew that Timothy Miller had deep feelings for Jasmine and he always follows her wherever she goes. But Jasmine never got the opportunity to mention their High School love story to her since Timothy left shortly after he became a student in the university.
"The mean girl told me about it in our final year in High School after making me suffer for almost two years...,"
"But we became very close after this right? Apart from the fact that Lizzy liked you for me, my father also thought that you were a nice boy...,"
"What the heck! He has even gained the old man's permission without even working so hard and yet you haven't even told him yet about your relationship with Jasmine...,"
"Do you believe that I will punch you really hard on the face if you keep whispering into my ears," The angry Jackson chided Jeff? Jackson made to stretch and pick the bottle of whiskey lying on the table in front of them but Jeff stopped him.
"You can't drink since we have to drive them home...," Jeff trailed.
"But you can go ahead and drink if you want to see him drop your woman off at home and there she will invite him into her house for a cup of coffee. You don't need me to tell you what can happen between a drunk man and drunk woman right...,"
"Shut the f*ck up! Your voice keeps irritating me so just keep quiet if you don't want to get hurt," Jackson threatened the innocent Jeff coldly. Jeff and Steve kept quiet as they watched their women talk to the new guy and ignore them.
"If someone had told me that my beloved woman will ignore me this way I wouldn't have believed it. They are just so cruel," Steve said in annoyance.
The guys who couldn't drink because they wanted to drive their women home had no choice but to just sit there and listen to their conversation.
For a long time, all they could do was put up with the lady's attitude. Jackson left the room to use the restroom after hours of sitting down. He was coming back from the restroom when a lady in a red dress stopped him.
While he was in this ambiguous position with the lady, he was unawares that Jasmine who had been ignoring him in the room had come out to check on him.
