Chapter 174: Plan
"What is your plan th, tell me."
Mark mused for a short momt. "I plan to learn about the emies first, th, I will make my move. And I can do that with a simple move."
In the Hunter World, he had gone in to attack Shid and his gang without prior information about them. He had learned his lesson now, before moving, he had to prepare for his emies. This mission, of killing hundreds of savages of differt ranks, needed him to be cautious.
Reol'ran pondered. "So you are going to Dream Gamble."
"Exactly," Mark said. "From what I have se, the savages abduct childr from all over the place and bring them to the savage city. They turn these childr themselves into savages. So, if I Dream Gamble with one of the childr they are going to abduct, I can go into the savage city and become one of them."
Out of habit, Mark pulled out his system scre.
[Dream Gambler's Mortal Puppet:
You can manipulate the World Wills of any World and make it link your Destiny to that of the Destiny of a Mortal (a person without any supernatural powers), and th challge the Mortal into a Dream Gamble. A gamble with a dreamer regarding whether you can achieve their dreams if you were in their shoes.]
[Upon activation of the ability, the Mortal's body you Gamble with will become your puppet.]
[As long as you win the Gamble, you can ask for one thing that they have (except for their life and non-material things like feelings), and you will get it as your own. If you fail to achieve their dream, they can ask for one thing that you have (except for your life and non-material things like feelings), and you can't dy them whatever they ask of you.]
[Doesn't work on the same World twice.]
[Only works on Mortals.]
[If the Puppet dies while the Dream Gamble is on, the Puppet Master will also die.]
[You can win either by accomplishing the Dream of the Puppet or by destroying the wish to achieve that Dream tirely.]
[Cannot use any demonic trick of the main body using the puppet.]
Frowning, Reol'ran bit her thumb gtly. "I get that you are going to Dream Gamble with a mortal. Th, you would invade the savages using the Mortal Puppet. But while that is happing, what are you going to do?"
Mark grinned. "Of course, I am not going to sit idly while the Mortal Puppet works. I also have an idea."
The woman frowned for a second before her brows eased. "Ah, I get what you are planning."
"Th, we can move as soon as Yuri tells me what she found out. And I want to interrogate the savage who's still alive."
…
While Yuri was researching, Mark jumped out of the hut's roof and began walking a the village. Now, there were more or less 600 or so villagers in his World Space, all looking somewhat gloomy.
Inside his World Space, he had a more human-looking body (soul), but his horns and gold eyes still made it easy to distinguish that he was Mark. The villagers soon took notice of him and began to walk out of their huts.
Soon, Yasna also came out and faced him. Two old m walked behind her back respectfully. Being Mark's woman, Yasna had become the most important person from both villages Mark had tak in—she was now a local celebrity.
"Hey," Yasna said, somewhat awkward but bristling with ergy.
"I thought you were tired and going to sleep."
"I did go to sleep, but that woman in coats gave me a glass of… black liquid, and my tiredness all but vanished. So, I came here and organized all the villagers. They were all panicking anyways."
"Good." Mark ran his eyes over everyone in his sight.
600 was not a small crowd.
"You must be wondering why I brought you here. The answer is simple. This is a world and I want to build a working community here. This island, which I shall call the Savage Island, will be your home from now on and I want you all to improve it for yourself."
The crowd started a hushed discussion betwe themselves.
Mark jumped and stood mightily over a boulder, looking down at all of them with his gold eyes. "This is an opportunity. A chance. If you use it well, you can build your own paradise here and I can assure you one thing. As long as you are here, no one will die of disease, nor will a savage dare come here and hurt you.
There is only one thing taboo, I do not like freeloaders, I want you all to do your own fair share of work."
Yasna came forward and met his eyes.
"Your lord," she said, speaking on behalf of the villagers.
Mark teleported her to sit beside him. Stunned for only a second, she continued brutishly, "Does the sun not rise in this world? Is it night all the time?"
Mark sighed inwardly. Indeed, there was no sun or moon in his World Space—it had 9 stars, though. And those nine stars, tiny dots in the sky, were his demonic tricks.
"There is no sun in the world, not yet. But don't worry, soon ough, I shall arrange a way to light the world."
He would have to build a huge bulb of some kind.
"My lord," Yasna still spoke on behalf of the villagers. "What about… food? Without sunlight, we can't grow crops, and there is no forest for us to hunt. The sea suring the Savage Island doesn't contain any fish either."
"I will expand the Savage Island a bit more, bring some forest a. Th, you will have a place to hunt for a while."
And he can make it rain Black Water here once in a while to keep the trees from rotting away due to receiving no sunlight. Wh he wt back to the Demon World, he would have to expand the Black Water pond in his World Space to a Black Water River, Mark realized.
"Any more questions?"
Yasna blinked. "I don't have any more questions."
One of the old m who had be walking behind Yasna kowtowed on the g. "Your lordship, may we know what our work here exactly is?"
He had be saying not to freeload and work, but what work should they do?
Mark smiled. "I just want you to build a united, working community here. A small place where I can get anything I want. If any of my wom order you to do something, do that, too. Otherwise, I just want you to thrive here."
The old man gawked up and th kowtowed ev lower.
Mark stood up. "I would've guided you people more but I do not have too much time. From now on, Yasna, I name you the que of the Savage Island. Anybody who goes against you shall be dealt with by me personally."
Yasna stared at him for a momt, th took a deep breath in.
Mark winked covertly at her and said softly: "It's not much of a responsibility. Just joy the befits of ruling a and lead the community to thrive."
With that, Mark looked down at the villagers one last time and vanished.
They all kowtowed.
From the skies, Mark looked down at the Savage Island. It was sured by an ocean and just some distance away from it was another island—the island where Yuri was. It was on that island that his family lived, and it was under that island that the Violet Mirror was situated.
Reol'ran looked up at him from the g and he grinned at her.
"Get to work, don't look a aimlessly," she said and he vanished once more.
