Chapter 170: Savage Magic Battle (1/2)
"We can't let a single one of the five escape," Mark said, looking down at the five savages. If ev one of them escaped, Mark's idtity as a demon who could walk outside dungeons would be revealed and he would be se as a major threat.
Dona was also much more cautious now, her gaze looking down at the emies with zero perct laziness in her form.
The five savages looked up, their masks wearing wicked grins. The Spearman among them materialized another spear into his hand, ready to throw it at Mark once more. After nearly being hit once, Mark wasn't going to fall for the same trick twice.
He knew that spear could suddly teleport.
"I will get one of them for you," Dona said, her body heating up. "Let go of me."
Mark didn't reject. In the worst-case scario where one of the savages was near escape, he was willing to use his Clown's Circus. But he was extremely reluctant to use it unless absolutely necessary.
He thought for a second and devised a plan to d this swiftly with the least cost.
"Get rid of the Spearman for me," he said.
With her Fire Shield, she could easily defd against the teleporting spear.
Dona nodded and Mark let go of her.
The hamster appeared above Mark's hair, replacing Dona as his Dungeon.
The demoness fell through the air, flame covering her whole body mid-flight.
The spearman and the other four got ready to attack her but before they could focus on her, Mark's wings flapped and with speed they could barely keep up with, appeared on the g faster than Dona.
He had appeared just beside one of the savages!
"Truly, you savages amuse me. I wonder how strong your leader would be!" His fist was faster than his words and moved directly toward the nearest Shaman's mask.
He frowned as his punch found no purchase.
The savage who had be an inch away from his fist had vanished and appeared some distance away. Teleportation, again.
"Dona. The spear doesn't teleport!" He shouted. "One of these guys has the power to teleport things a, and the spearman's only ability is creating his spear."
Who was it?
Who was the one teleporting the spear and m a?
Mark didn't have time to scan their statuses one by one as he felt the spearman throw his spear at Dona. Dona easily covered herself with her Fire Shield but the spear suddly vanished, appearing beside Mark.
Mark moved aside at the speed of sound, the sound barrier breaking with a boom.
The spear appeared right before his face.
Mark's soul sse locked in on the savage whose dark eyes underneath the mask were moving the fastest. He was the one tracking Mark's movemt the most religiously. Mark met the man's eyes.
Gold eyes expanded and stared down as if the heavs itself were peering down.
Dream Shock!
The savage grew blank and suddly, the other four savages grew incredibly nervous.
Dona looked at the spearman and raised her hands. She clched her fist in the man's direction.
"Annoying," she said simply.
Ultimate Demonic Art—Trapped Beast.
All her Mindpower began burning, and soon ough, she felt it get exhausted. But as the Spearman looked a in panic, a pattern made of fire appeared below him as if someone was drawing a circle a him.
Suddly, a dome of fire rose up out of the circle, completely trapping the Spearman. It was incredibly hot, turning the tire forest suring them afire as it happed.
"Let me out!" He screamed and attacked the dome of fire with his spear.
It made the dome weaker but not ough for him to escape.
Dona oped her fist like a blooming flower.
Her Ultimate Demonic Art—Trapped Beast—combined two of her best demonic tricks. Delayed Explosion, and Fire Shield. The defsive demonic trick, Fire Shield, would first appear like a dome and sur her target, blocking the emy's escape route. Th, the landmine-like demonic trick, Delayed Explosion, would explode inside the dome.
BOOM!
The whole area quaked slightly and Dona took a deep breath in. Fire breezed through the area, sparks and cinders running across her hair. Painting the very picture of a blazing demon ready to wreak havoc.
"Yashi!!" the other savages shouted, completely appalled.
"Dona," Mark said calmly, taking his fist out of the Teleporter's brain. "Destroy its mask or it can revive itself with ergy."
The dome of fire vanished but Mark didn't have to worry. Only ashes remained inside.
The remaining three savages were all in a panic. "Yashi and Suja are dead! Retreat! Retreat once we have a good chance! Someone blow the whistle! This is not a demonling but a Middle Demon!"
Alchemic Shapeshifting!
The Teleporter's mask, body, and everything turned into blood and puddled on the g.
Mark stood up straight. "Now, I can do this without any worry. Without the pesky Teleporter, you have no chance of escape."
"Demon, you overestimate yourself!" The three of them said, suring Mark instead of retreating already. Mark wrapped his Soul Sse gtly a Dona and pulled her into his World Space; her Mindpower had be nearly exhausted.
Mark and the Hamster faced the emies coolly.
"One of you can teleport, one of you can create spears out of thin air. What else can you do?" He stalled while looking at them to see what their abilities were. Suddly, his face changed as one of the three savages simply… exploded.
It was ough distance to make Mark not worried about physical damage from the explosion on himself, and it was just a simple muffled bang but Mark felt an ominous lock appear all over his body. His Defsive Magic Aura had be brok.
Savage Magic—Nullification!
The exploded savage's mask flew through the air towards a distant part of the forest and the other two sured him, not letting him follow the mask. Mark didn't move either, reeling in shock instead. Most of his demonic tricks felt… locked. Nullified.
