Mind Demon's Path of Domination

Chapter 105: Limp Snake

The moment that the fancy car entered the mega-dungeon, a banshee-like scream echoed, and a man-sized eyeball with muscular arms and feet ran towards it head-on.

Mark lamented, "We should have brought some sacrificeable humans with us. I could sacrifice them to heal you if you were harmed somehow."

Of course, Mark couldn't use Sacrificial Heal—that was Heilan's ability and Mark didn't have it.

"I don't need your healing, just watch and learn."

Just as the eyeball demon headed towards them, Bale clenched his hand in midair. The air exploded around his fist and he tore one of the doors of the car and threw it like a boomerang at the enemy.

The door trizzed through the air and moved through the eyeball. A second later, green blood exploded as the demon completely burst like a balloon.

"Weak thing," said Bale coldly.

The car's insides turned dark as the green blood coated all of its glasses but the wiper worked twice and it was bright again. Through the city filled with demons, Bale drove and on the way, he moved one of his hands out through the side and dug his iron-like fingers into the road itself.

He tore off a big chunk of rock and any weak demon that came at their car was killed with an incredibly accurate and super-powered throw.

Reol'ran said, "His body alone is so strong his thrown objects have incredible force behind it. Even demons with physical resistance couldn't defend that—unless they are Middle Demons."

Mark nodded, back damp with sweat.

"Where is our Target Tier 2 Demon, Brother?" asked Mark.

"It's way deeper."

By the time the car reached deep into the mega-dungeon, it was steaming and broken in multiple places. The windshield had been broken entirely. Mark walked out of it and looked at the car silently, it even had marks of sharp claws having torn into it.

He put his hands into his pockets and looked around him.

They were standing outside a weed-covered building—a ruin of a building to be exact. And around it, snakes with scales as dark as night moved around silently.

"These snakes live in a gang, and die in one," said Bale, touching his bald head. "Their gang leader is deep inside this building—and that guy is a nasty bitch. I fought it five times before I found its ultimate weakness."

"What is that leader like?"

The Hunter looked into Mark's eyes. "A snake that can bite your shadow and curse your real body using that. Heinous, right?"

"Dangerous," Mark frowned.

"And this snake can even move through shadows. But do you know what the funniest thing about this demon is?"

"That it is… afraid of light?"

The Hunter blinked. "How did you know?"

"A guess."

"A good guess." The Hunter grimaced. "I had to get many beatings from it to guess that. Yeah, the demon is afraid of light and once this building is destroyed and the light of the sun touches it, it will grow completely still.

"Watch."

The Hunter pushed up his suit's sleeve and walked forward. He clenched his bronze hand.

A slight but physical charge began to warp the surroundings of Bale's fist.

The air itself crackled.

Mark felt his heart tighten.

Sweat slowly trickled down his nose.

Clench.

Hunter Ability—Super Strength.

Mark felt a shiver run down his spine as the Hunter's masculine form became incredibly menacing. It was as if a heavy blanket had been cast over the entire area. As if gravity itself had grown twice as strong.

A wind picked up and as Mark stared in awe, a sudden boom made his ears ring and his eyes grew blurry. Everything just blanked out for a second.

When he became self-aware again, the sky was filled with falling debris of the building that had once been. Most of it had been destroyed with that single punch!!!

The intimidating form of Bale Neslan was amidst the destruction, and he was facing the only living thing that was there inside the building. All the other snake demons had been slaughtered with a punch that created earthquakes and destroyed tall buildings.

Sweating, Mark took a step back.

"The whole building's gone, it's a crater in front of me…" He chuckled wryly.

Debris fell around him but he couldn't bother to care and his gaze focused on Bale Neslan. There was a Snake as big as a bus in front of him—it was atleast twice as big as Bale was. Yet, it hissed and growled as it looked down at the man.

The snake's Defensive Magic Skin had been broken, Mark assumed. Usually, he wasn't supposed to be able to read the stats of stronger demons than himself mainly due to their Defensive Magic Skins or something else but he could read the snake's.

Fragmented as the information was.

Is this due to Reol'ran? Maybe it's because of the mirror fragment she brought to me.

"Reol'ran, what the hell is an Ultimate Demonic Art?"

"Something that only Demons from Tier 2 onwards have. You don't have it yet. I'll tell you about it later."

"I've missed you, snakey," said the Hunter with a big laugh but as the sunlight bathed the snake, it grew more and more uncomfortable, and soon enough, it just laid on the floor like a mat. Silent. Completely weakened as if it was a dead snake.

The Hunter took it up by the throat and laughed. "This is what I call easy prey. I don't know why but this snake is always like this in sunlight—but if it becomes night, it will get back into its ferocious mode though. I found it on a random hunt some months ago."

Mark looked at it speechlessly.

The snake was afflicted by a Curse called the Laze of Sunlight and the curse itself was of Tier 5 strength.

Reol'ran mused. "Some strong Tier 5 Demon in the Demon World must have attacked it to test their abilities, then let it out into the world to roam."

Bale laughed. "Come, try touching it, it won't bite you. Haha, just like the old days when you were afraid of touching dogs."

Mark hesitantly went and touched the snake, it was indeed like an unresponsive corpse.

"Let's drag it near the mega-dungeon entrance. After that Yuri's research is done, we can either kill it by throwing it out of the dungeon or do something else. I kinda want it to be my pet."

Mark just nodded.

It will have to be killed for Yuri to become a Hunter but Bale didn't know that. And by their narrative, Mark didn't either. Yuri was yet to give them the Awakening Method.

"Let's go, let's go."

They took the snake into the car and just by its sheer weight, the tires started to grow somewhat flat. But the car ran, so they moved with immense speed.

Maybe it was due to the presence of the snake, no demons attacked them on the way, and soon, they reached the barrier separating the Hunter World and the mega-dungeon. Yuri was waiting outside it, sitting on an old, abandoned, and green-grown car.

Seeing the limp snake, her eyes brightened.

It was time for her to use the Hunter Awakening Method on herself.
